I told him the truth that I didn't do it. I'm sure he realized this as well when he heard me answering from the other room as it was happening. So we are both scared at this point. It's around 2:30 am and I really wanted to just get my stuff and leave. I didn't do it because my grandma told me before that if you leave a haunted place at night, like a cemetary, that spirits can follow you. I didn't want whatever was doing this to follow me home so I decided to just push through it. He and I were talking about everything that happened and I told him about my pillow being moved. As we are talking we started to hear someone whistling. It was someone whistling a tune and we got creeped out. We tried to investigate the sound and see where it was coming from. I remember he opened the front door and it was so thick with fog. The fog was not unusual and we couldn't see anybody out there. The whistling was louder in our room than outside and that scared us even more.
I stayed up until it was daylight, because I was too scared to sleep. I ended up sleeping for a little bit and when we got up we checked out, ate the free hotel breakfast and left. He left town and I drove home, but I couldn't stop thinking of all the strange events. When I got home I told my whole family. My sister asked me if someone could have snuck into the room while we were out and moved my pillow. I told her that it didn't seem logical because we had valuables and a laptop. I couldn't imagine someone going through that trouble just to move my pillow then leave without stealing anything. And that still wouldn't explain everything else that happened.
I came up with the idea of calling the front desk of the hotel to ask them if they had any complaints of weird things happening in that specific room. My mom said it was a good idea and wouldn't hurt so I did. A man at the front desk answered the phone and I told him that I had a quick question. I asked him if anyone has complained about strange things from that room and he asked me what kind of things I was referring to. I told him paranormal things. His response was, "not from that room". That struck me as odd.
I told him that I stayed there the previous night and told him a little about what happened. He told me that they haven't had complaints from that room. He said that he didn't believe in ghosts and told me that he worked there for years and never saw one. He also said that once a woman complained that the ghost of a person walked into her room and then right out. He told me that he thought that she must have been on drugs. I thanked him then ended the call. I didn't really like his attitude about it and my friend and I definately were not on drugs. I'll never forget that day. Sooo weird.
