Cat Ghost

I have been having experiences with, what I suspect, to be a ghost cat. For example, while resting one day, I felt my cat jump on the bed, pad over the bed and then lay on my feet. I even felt the sensation of purring vibrating on my feet. I thought it was so sweet because my cat rarely does that. I lifted my head to look and my cat was actually across the room staring intently at me, but I swear there was a cat laying on my my feet. This has happened two or three times now.

Tonight I was walking towards my house. It was dark night outside with no moonlight or stars and only the lamp at the end of our driveway gave us some light. We live in a rural area. My cat was acting very goofy and playful, he would hide in the bushes and pounce on me then I scream and laugh. We were in a fun mood. Suddenly he got still and his tail was fluffed out and tucked under him. He didn't move an inch. I looked where he was looking and I saw a black neighbourhood cat zip by me. It wasn't the black cat that I found noteworthy and startling, it was actually what followed that made my jaw drop. A white misty flash, about the same size of the fleeing cat, was chasing the black cat. The white mist just evaporated into the darkness as it passed me.

I have never heard or even considered animal ghosts or spirits before. There must be other experiences out there. I have had numerous cats in my life, yet I have no impression what cat this might be. Why would an animal ghost stick around and not "move on"?

Don't be alarmed, it's really not that unusual.

Perhaps it was one of your prior cats, but maybe it wasn't. It's hard to say if he was giving you comfort or getting comfort from your presence, but perhaps it was even a cat who used to live in the house with prior owners who felt comfortable with you.

Maybe Triskaideka has it right and it is solar flares and the full moon making it easier for visitations. I've heard from police officers that they definitely see an increase in crime during a full moon.

Great story 😁 I have had this happen to me before, I was lying in bed and I felt something jump on me. At first I thought it was my cat but when I looked, there was nothing there 😲

Hi Blue_Daisy, thanks for sharing your experience. The animals do have souls and they do come back to make their love known to humans they were with on many occasions even after they passed on. It is quite a nice experience that you are having. Perhaps it is one of your cats, who loved you when it was alive and wanted to be with you. Why don't you just speak to it and ask to move on like what BrokenTree did.

Once again would like to tell you that its a very nice experience.

Regards and respects to you.

Also I'd like to add that I'm totally tailing the other empaths here to see which things they commented upon so that I can stick purely to the sweet, reassuring stories, because I think that's what they are currently craving as well. Daisy, thank you so much for sharing this sweet story. I used to feel like my kitty was visiting me. I really do think it's temporary, such as when you really are in need. It's such a reassuring sensation. That padding, the kneading. That's love and trust. It's a communication of loving you completely. When you are in need, animals in all forms will reassure you. And this is why I'm fully convinced animals have spirits too. They love you. My mother always told me that you can judge a person by how animals respond in their presence. Now if you're charming *ghost* kitties, I think that means you're probably a really awesome person who just needs love even more especially right now and that kitty was drawn to you because of it. Just my take on it. 😳

This will sound hokey but given my past week and especially the past two days, I think we're drawing closer to a particularly important Samhain or Halloween or something. My friends and I have all been feeling odd. We're scientists, though, and were trying to figure it all out. It just so happens that the moon was full two nights ago and we have had solar flares going on a bit. Solar flares, alone, mess with people. The full moon brings on the tides and menses and this is the time of month that the "baby deck" is most busy. (Women are giving birth.) Two days ago a friend of mine was mourning our friend who'd died, and I think he visited me a lot the past couple days, and I'm fairly certain she went into labor yesterday. I'll check later. FB is unsafe for me right now. Aaaaaaaaanyway what I'm trying to get to is that right now the barriers seem to be broken down for a LOT of people, so it's quite possible that you are experiencing a temporary visitation that is slowly getting stronger but will ebb once the gate closes. If that even makes sense. Guys I'm weird right now so someone else take on the science part for me k? I'm like River from Firefly right now. I just. I see it. Words are hard.

My deceased cat also hasn't moved on yet my 3 year old who was 2 months old when Shadow passed runs around saying here kitty kitty asked her to describe the kitty (we have a dog now a golden retriever couldn't be mistaken for a cat) and she described my cat to a tee she never saw a pic of my cat

Blue_Daisy - I currently have what I believe to be a ghost cat. I've been trying, with the help of friends (some of them YGS members...zzsgranny;) ) for years to figure out if it is indeed a ghost cat or if it is energy created by my living cat.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your story 😊

Cats...such independent creatures, either alive or in spirit always doing as they please.

Blue_Daisy: just have a look at all the stories in this site under the category of "Pets/Animals" and you'll be surprised of all the evidence of animal spirits and ghosts.
Perhaps this cat is not one of your departed kitties but just aa 'simple' cat looking for the affection of a nice cat lady. 😊

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your story.

Just one thing. You said "I have never heard or even considered animal ghosts or spirits before."

I have a belief that animals have souls the same as humans and therefore could become ghosts/spirits sometimes.

The ghost cat could have had a quick, unexpected death or an undying love of its owner. When my Mum had to go into hospice care I started to clean out her house and I spent my nights there as I worked on it. She had a cat that I had taken to my home but a few years before she had another cat named Tommy. Tommy was a very sweet stray that showed up one day. She absolutely adored everyone. One day my Mum went into the back yard and found Tommy dead. It was an awful day. When I was cleaning out the house I kept catching glimpses of Tommy. I even felt her crawl into bed with me. I told her that she had to leave that house and move on because Mum would soon join her. I saw her one more day after that and then she was gone. Your ghost kitty has a reason to stay but I hope it moves on soon.
