The Knock On My Forehead

My name is Katie and I am new to this site. I am 29 years old.

I have been reading stories for a while tonight and decided to start posting some of my own... Enjoy

This is the first experience I have had-

At the age of 6, I was spending the night at my grandparent's home; something my brother and I did often. We slept in the small room next to the main bedroom. (Where my grandparent's slept).

Falling asleep was easy that night after my prayers were said. Sleeping on my back, I don't know exactly how long I was asleep for... But I was awoken by a hard knock on my forehead. Laying there with my eyes closed I was scared, it hurt and I felt the tears well up in my eyes. Thinking it was a nightmare, eyes still closed tight it happened again. This time I flung my eyes open and sat up, no one was there. Crawling to the foot of my bed I looked over the bed frame to check the floor were my brother would always lie when he was there. But I forgot he had not spent the night this particular night. So the thought of him being the typical mean brother flew out the window, I heard my Grandparent's snoring in their room and curled back up into bed and cried myself to sleep.

To this day I will not lay on my back to sleep.

What a nice story told with sweet simplicity. Refreshing somehow, I sense no evil... Maybe just a "wakeup call" of sorts.

Hello, I can tell by different ways, sometimes it is just a feeling of always being watched, sometimes its a thought or tingle, but most of the time I see and hear things shadows, voices etc.
I would love to read about your experiances.

i have a question, how can you determine when you are sensitive to spirits, I mean you can feel them even though you don't want to. By the way I like your story I also have other experiences when I was a child but I always thought it was just my imagination but after experiencing a lot worse now that I'm 18 years old and after joining this site I see things differently now. By the way I'll share my childhood ghostly experience and my other experiences to all of you next time

That happened a long time ago. Have you experienced anything else besides the knock on your forehead? It sounds very scary, especially being so young. Those things tend to stick with you. I don't blame you for not sleeping on your back. They say it's the best way to beat getting wrinkles. 😊
Seriously, great story. Hope to hear more from you.
God Bless,
Byluyster

Thanks for reading my story everyone.

Kwghost- I have had many other encounters, and will be posting them soon...

GhostTracker- You will, no worries

Contghostly387- that is creepy 😲

GODzMASK- no problem

Ghostseer- It happened a few more times after that, but nothing like that after turning 13, I have always been very sensitive to energies around me... Ever since I was little and continue to have experiances on a weekly basis. I try not to be afraid to sleep on my back, but I have anxiety about it. With the fear of knocking on my head or sleep paralysis... Which happens often.

Hobbyholly- hi, I also have sleep paralysis triggered by laying on my back (honestly I thought something was wrong with me until I read some of the stories on here and found out I was not alone...) But you are right this incident was not sleep paralysis based. My grandmother often had experiances she was sensitive like I am (She died when I was ten though so I did not get to really find out a lot of her stories.) My grandfather only had on experiance after my Grandmother died, and my brother hears whispers but nothing more, and these experiances are all in the same home... (My brother lives in that bedroom now.) This took place in Burbank, Il. And its no problem you are not nosey!

Interesting

I can't sleep on my back due to the fact I find it triggers sleep paralysis. BUT I don't think that is what you experienced.

Did your grandparents or brother ever experience anything?
Also not to be nosey, but I love hearing about Illinois haunts. Where in Illinois did this take place if you don't mind me asking? I currently live in IL myself.

Was this a one time thing? Have you always been aware of the existence of Ghosts?...just asking. Ghostly smacks, pops, whacks, etc is a Spirits way of getting your attention and to test their own ability of touch. Some Ghosts travel along and love the attention they get by their antics.Don't be afraid to sleep on your back. It could have been a one time experience for that one specific entity. Blessings, Ghostseer

It could be a spirit or a poltergeist. It happened to me but on the back. I was touched by a cold hand. Good experience! I hope I can read more experiences from you!
