One night I woke up as my mom was in the bathroom taking a shower. I don't know which woke me up: her taking the shower or this but I woke up to the sound of several Mexican men talking excitedly. They were laughing and seemed to be joking about something in a mix of Spanish/English and all of a sudden one of them started going, 'Shhhhhhh' and they started quieting down while laughing and then just completely shut up. I was deathly frightened because I thought they were a gang of robbers that had broken into the house or something. After several minutes I got the courage to walk across the room and turn on the light. When I did I saw that nobody was there. The only people up were me and my mom and she was in the shower. The TV wasn't even on. It was obviously some sort of ghosts and A LOT of them at that. This story comes with a question:
Okay, so I live in South, GA. Now, I know that Indians used to be everywhere in GA and though I don't really think the ghosts I heard were Indian that still is a possibility because they themselves speak their own language different from that of English and Spanish. If the case is like I think it is, that means the men were Mexican. I tend to buy a lot of items from flea-markets and EBay when I can so I think MAYBE the Mexican ghosts are attached to an object in my room although I have only heard them that ONE time.
My question is:
How can you tell if an object is haunted without an EVP recorder? I have a feeling the only way you can is with one but I just wanted to make sure because it's going to be hard to get my parents to get me one without them nagging me about what a waste of money it is (even though it's not). If anyone knows a way I can tell without an EVP recorder or just wants to give their input, please comment.
Thanks,
Becca
