This takes place in Claremore, Oklahoma, when I was in the 8th grade or so. Late at night, I was about to take my dogs outside to do their business before bed, but a purple light which caught my attention made me refrain from doing so. It wasn't very big, but it was bright, had a mix of purple and white in it, and was moving at a steady rate. At first I thought it was a neighbor's bike, but the orb didn't change speed at all, even when it came down a hill on the road I was looking at, through my window. I thought this was peculiar, so I went to another window and watched it make the turn that would eventually be my stretch of road within the neighborhood. Finally, it was out of the sight of my window, so I, being the curious person I am, ventured outside.
It was hard for me to logically reason what this was, because after a while of looking at it, I could see that there was no bike attached to the light. Lost in thought of what it could be, I didn't pay attention to how close it was getting to my house. I soon realized this, however, when it started to cross into my yard. At this moment, I was in the middle of my driveway, so I decided it was a grand moment to hide behind my little evergreen tree, to watch what it would do next. It didn't take long for me to realize that this orb was getting closer to me, probably within 6 or 7 feet. When this happened, I'm not exactly sure what the orb did, because my body's flight or fight instinct wanted to flee. However, I guess my instincts were working great that night, because I ran at a pretty fast rate, wall kicked the side of my house somehow, and cleared the 5 ft. Tall chain link fence for my backyard.
This occurrence still puzzles me and kind of freaks me out; however, I'm proud of the awesome skills I acquire when my instincts kick in. I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this. You can even let me know about rad instinct moves you've pulled when this stuff happens. Thank you so much for help and cool stories.
Seriously I can't stop laughing. I've just been clicking on random, mostly older stories, and
Between this new line and my last 'and' I nearly spat tea all over my lovely rug. I'm still laughing.
I can't remember what I was going to say anymore.
Shini, needless to say I've added your extremely well told experience to my faves.
By the way I was laughing as soon as I read the title.
Thank you much for sharing! (still laughing)
