A Grandfather's Wish

When I was 12, we lived in a private house in England, Chesterfield Derbyshire, It is quite known for its ghost hunts in the town centre, Much like Sheffield.

One Night I was sleeping with my brother, (we shared a room not a bed), I was lying on my back, even though I knew that causes sleep paralysis. I went to bed at 10 'o' Clock at night (22:00). My room was cold. I lifted my hand up to stretch it. However, when I did, I had a cold gush if air rush through me. Scared and superstitious, I went back to sleep, thinking the heating wasn't on. A few hours later, I was awoken to the sound of my name being calling out. I looked to see who it was and it was... My Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather died months before I was born. He said to me

"I want you to take care of your friends and family, but for you, I want you to not go along with your mind, But with your heart, Good Luck!"

I then replied

"When can I see you again?"

"In time, I'll see how you do in later years"

He then vanished, I now knew I had a guardian angel, and I had nothing to worry about...

Can anybody tell me why he chose me, because I have younger cousins?

Good story here spamhead24. You probably display the ability to perceive your Great-Grandfather. But, actually, I think that maybe he visited you because he had a message to convey just to you.

Was your Great Grand-father the kind of man that played it safe, always adhering to the status quo? Are you a dreamer, passionate, and with your head in the clouds? If so, perhaps he regrets playing it safe and perhaps he sees a great deal of himself in you. It could be that his dreams were never fulfilled and wants better for you. All I have is perhapses and it could be's, I know, but with things of this nature its often all there can be. I hope that I am not too far off and that I have been of some help.

Even if you have younger cousins maybe you are the only one who has the ability to perceive your Great Grandfather. There is a good chance that he has projected his thoughts to many of your family memebers ie: dreams and feelings etc, but chose to appear to you because you are able to see him.

Thanks for sharing.

Allow me to explain further. An arrogant person would think along the lines of "well of course he chose me, I'm awesome". That you wonder why he chose you displays humility. It is likely because of your own nature that he chose you. At least that's my view.

Some things there are no current explainations for but there will come a time when you will understand completly. It could be days, it could be decades, it could be every day. He came for a reason, just remember his advice and things will work out.

He is the only one who knows why he chose you. It could be any number of reasons. Maybe it was because you would be more open to him or maybe he thought you were braver than the other littler ones

spamhead24 there might be no reason your greatgrandfather came to you but the advice he gave you must have a meaning.
Most people will think about a problem or situation but some will know what needs to be done or said to sort it out, they "feel" the answer and just know its right, now some people will dismiss "feelings" and go with what they think is right not saying this is wrong but you have been given a message and personaly I would say follow that message.

Spam,

I assume you recognized him from photos?... Since he died before you were born and never knew him.

Unfriendly: Huh?

Maybe you will play some pivotal role in your extended family's future. Regardless, he needed you to know he was there for you.

He chose you because you ask why he chose you. And you can see him again if you want to.
