I grew up in a very haunted house. I have had countless paranormal experiences but one of the first ones is still very vivid in my memory. I used to always see shadow people, but this encounter was very different. I was very little, maybe 3 or 4 years old at the most, yet I still remember it like it was yesterday. I would wake up in the middle of the night and look at my wall, and up high on the wall, close to where the wall met the ceiling, I would see a shadow about a foot long that I would call a "snake" because I didn't know how else to describe it at that age. It was an almost sausage shaped, brownish black shadow and it appeared to be moving back and forth across the wall. It was completely bizarre. I saw this for the longest time, just about every night, and I was very frightened by it. I remember one night, the usual shadow was joined by another one, only this one was dark black; blacker than the rest of the darkness around me.
I told my mom that I was seeing "snakes" in my room, and she thought I was just dreaming. But one night, she was sleeping in my room with me, possibly because I had a nightmare or something, and she saw the same thing. She still talks about it to this day and describes it the exact same way I do. We haven't seen it in years but I have never heard of this from anyone else and I am always wondering if anyone else has experienced this as well.
If anyone has experienced something similar, please let me know, because I would love to know that my mom and I are not the only ones.
