I Think I Met Death

Wow what an awful dream you had! I'm glad it turned out for you when you awoken.

Maybe it was to take away the fear but I will not be able to work out if it was a dream or reality.

This reminds me of a dream I had where I actually died in the dream. It was something that had always frightened me -the notion of dying in a dream... Of dying period- and it had never before happened in a dream. I was trying to help a girl escape from a knife wielding maniac - I got away but she fell and I knew he was going to get her so I ran back, got her up and told her to run - when I turned to run, it was too late. I turned around to face him, he was seven to ten feet away, he threw the knife and it caught me in the neck. I could feel it. I could feel myself bleeding. I could feel myself dying. But what I couldn't feel was pain or fear - I was utterly shocked that all I felt was an overwhelming calm and relief. I woke up happy - happy to be alive but moreover happy because I was no longer so afraid of death.

Maybe it was a dream - maybe you were awake - but the distinction may not matter. Perhaps the spirit or vision's purpose was to take away your fear.

Thank you for your comment, again I don't know if it was a dream or reality, and no I didn't have broccoli with cheese sauce lol

It didn't harm me in the slightest just a calming presence like I was with a friend.

Sare - if you were unsure if this experience was a dream or not, then that makes it very difficult for anyone to help you with what you experienced. If it was a dream, then who knows - maybe you simply had too much broccoli with cheese sauce before bed time?

If it wasn't a dream, then you probably saw a spirit, who didn't want to harm you but decided to show themselves to you. What their motive was, we can't say. Death isn't a figure like the grim reaper or a ghoul, but a natural part of existence; as natural as birth. Or gravity. Or cheese-covered broccoli for that matter.

Melda- I am really unsure if it was a dream or it was reality- I have dreams that seem real but they're not.
I was in a lift I was no where near my flat until I came out of the lift.

Sare - RANDYM has made an excellent comment. This is going into my faves.

Sare what makes you think it might have been a dream? If you were actually physically in the elevator surely it could not have been a dream, unless you were in a trance-like state. I must be missing something as far as that is concerned because now I'm not sure whether you were in the lift or in your bed.

Very interesting experience and also that you comfortable with it. I must admit I would have been more than a little scared to have an apparition in the lift with me😊

As for your questions
Death is nothing more than the end of physical life for our bodies which we use to maneuver around and interact with the 3D world and others while living a human life. Keep in mind the physical body is not who we really are. We do not die and become a spirit. We are always a spirit and a much higher being than we know while here. Once a body is born into the physical world our spirit inhabits and uses that body until it wears out and dies. While alive here on earth our true spirit self and our true identity is masked from us so we can go about our lives, have living human experiences
And learn about life and interaction with others

Death is nothing more than a translation back to the spirit world and the remembering of who we really are. It's as natural as the sun rising and setting each day. Birth is bringing us into this physical world and a day of earth school. Death is only us leaving this world and going back home at the end of earth school day
Nothing more

We as humans grieve for those who have passed not for them but because they will no longer be around us and we will miss them. Much like when a loved one moves away
The difference is we know if they move we can still call and talk to them. We can visit
But with death we know we will not see or hear them again and it's permanent
That's the real reason we feel sorrow. Not for them but for us

As for a message
That could be a hard question. In cases like this I think it's more about what you take from it
10 people can have 10 different interpretations but only what it means to you matters
Funny you mentioned A Christmas Carol The ghost in that movie were making him see that each of his actions has effects on our fellow humans. Even the smallest of things we do have a cause and effect on those around us and what we may think is insignificant can affect others in a very profound way. People that have had a Near Death Experience say that during a life review they are not judged but can feel all of the pain and joy their actions had on others. They say they become their own harshest critic
Take from it what you will because only you can decide what, if anything, it means

Remember to always look for happiness and love in every situation
Be loving and helpful to your fellow humans and all things that live
