My name is Cole. I live in one of the oldest houses in my town. While I often experience minor things such as footsteps, toilet lids closing, and the occasional sense of being watched, there is however, a few events that very clearly stick out in my memory. One of them occurred when I was in middle school (I'm 22 years old, and the event occurred when I was approximately 14 years old). The day had been a normal one. I had gotten up for school as usual, gone to school, and came home at the normal time. The event began when I was getting ready for bed. I couldn't help but feel watched, as I moved around the bathroom. The feeling went away, as I walked to my bedroom, and stayed away while I was reading before going to sleep. However, later that night, I was waken by a loud thump. I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched.
The feeling was much stronger then it had been in the bathroom. I looked towards my door, and there it was, a short white figure stood in front of my door. It had no eyes, or feet, and just stood there staring at me. It stayed just as it was as I reached for my glasses; but started to fade the moment I started to sit up, so I could turn my light on to see better.
No matter how much I tried, I couldn't fall back to sleep, because I still felt a very intense feeling of being watched. Throughout the next day, I still felt watched, to the point where I couldn't focus on my schoolwork. It took days for the me to be able to go back to normal. Even now, there are occasions where I still feel like I'm being watched, and I still feel my eyes being drawn towards the door to my bedroom.
Can you help me try to understand what is happening here? I guess it would be important to note, that my house is over 100 years old.
