JAV- He was 3-D, rounded, until he "flipped"; then, he was flat, and turned so that he was edge-on.

LOU- That had always been my experience, until 1444, where the Christmas lights would come on, and other electrical devices would get weird.

GRANNY- I live in Texas these days, in a small town called Whitney, around 2000 folks, midway between Dallas and Waco.

MIRACLES- Yes, the breaker box was down there
In the basement. AFAIK, this apparition never appeared anywhere else, or with that complete a form; Dave said he'd get that "corner-of-the-eye-" type thing there sometimes.

I just thought of something that happened prior to this, by a week or so-we'd been in bed for a couple hours, when we were awakened by a flashing blue light, from the TV area. For some reason, the LED numbers on the VCR were blinking bright enough to read by.

Lou - how is it I can enjoy reading a story, make my comments, and forget the things that you later point out? Then I sit here at my desk and go, "Oh, yeah, I knew that." Geesh... 😢

Do you mean he was a flat image facing front and turned pencil-thin when he turned sideways? I'm trying to get the image in my mind of what you mean. Was he like a cardboard cut-out type of image, that when turned sideways became thin?

Strange that electrical things would come on when activity occurred, I have always thought that spirits used energy from electical devices and therefore, drew power, or made them turn off...?

I haven't watched star trek in years, can barely remember episodes. That line you said was still funny though 😆. Yes, I have a weird sense of humor. I enjoyed the story.

alandhopewell - seems to me like the "man" in the basement might have been getting his energy from the electric in the basement. Was the breaker/fuse box down there too? Did anyone ever see him anywhere else in the home?

The was a discussion just recently on granny's "My Mom's House 2" about moms in denial 😉. We can add Dave's mom to that list 😊 because obviously she "knew" something was up with the basement.
