I believe you I don't think your crazy really weird things started happening to me lately and one of them includes a dog

I have been a member since 2011 but I have only just posting on this sight, its simple, if you don't like what I'm writing them don't read my stories. I'm getting pretty fed up with all the negative comments, I don't go to your stories and talk shiat all over them and pock holes in your stories so I would appreciate it if people showed me the same respect

Where I'm from, there is a legend about a big black dog we call El Cadejo Negro (kah-day-ho) (nay-grow). Its about a dog with red eyes and chains around its neck, its supposed to be a demon in the form of a dog. Some people say that if you see it, you either become blind, become crazy or start seeing weird stuff. It is said that the only way to get rid of those three things is if you have an encounter with El Cadejo Blanco (blank-o), which is the same dog but white, prettier and an angel which scared the black one away. Not sure if this helps maybe? I don't know how to have an encounter with it though. Maybe that dg wasn't the Cadejo Negro. Sorry for my english, its not my first language.

jav, what you said makes perfect sense, if the dog passed away sometime this year, yes it would make sense that the owner was very rush rush to get back inside as we are going through a cold snap here at the moment, but usually are nights are pretty warm. It would make sense not to see all 4 paws if walking in leaves. Thank you for your input. Muchly appreciated and I to love doggies, hence why I own 3. The rabbits were def the icing on the cake for me, when I realised that they to, where sensing what I was. I new it was a sign for me to leave, I do feel bad about leaving those poor bunnies there all by themselves, but I wasn't exactly going to chase them around the park and try and catch them with an unknown thing hanging around. I didn't exactly know what it was and I was in no hurry to find out, it was on a weekend if I remember correctly so maybe I might go for a stroll tonight and take another look... But then again I might not to 😁

Actually, the fact that you heard the dogs feet crunching over leaves that weren't there makes perfect sense to me. In my opinion, this dog may have been a residual image with residual sound as well. That you could only see two of it's paws could be because of the leaves he walked in at the time the residual image was captured and imprinted to the environment. And, that it was a neighborhood park, late in the evening, is another clue for this image. When this dog was taken out during daylight hours it was most likely kept on a leash. However, it was late in the evening, and since there were leaves on the ground I assume it was in the fall and perhaps the weather was a bit chilly, am I close? The owner probably let him walk without a leash so he would get his business done quicker and they could get back inside where it was warm. No one else around so no one to complain, right?
Now, the rabbits are not hard to figure either. Of course they were real, as in flesh and bone, alive as you and I. However, rabbits are skittish, they are also reputed to have excellent eyesight and hearing. If they heard what you heard, whether they saw him or not, they will definitely become instantly watchful and guarded in there movements. Hence, them being frozen in their spot. Once the image and sound were no longer an issue, they moved on. No big deal there, they don't have to be aware of any spiritual feeling to the animal, they just need to hear the noise for the reaction to take place.
I realize this is long and drawn out for an explanation, but I have seen my dogs, that have since passed on, come walking in my back door and lay down in their old spots, fluffing their area before laying down too. So it is not that unheard for me.
Thank you for sharing this, I always love reading about the doggies, I just love them so.

no its not the only one of my stories this person has commented on. Anyway, it doesn't matter, every one is entitled to their opinion, no one will ever have the same opinion as someone else, mine are different to bjj's and etc... Just leave it alone and be done with it okay. Yes this person had questions and (as defensive as they were) I tried my best to answer them, I have failed to answer them then my bad. I have answered them best I can. Just move on and stop already

kristy-lee - let's step back a second. Unless I'm mistaken, this is the only story BadJuuJuu has commented on of yours. I don't see how you think that makes her, in your words "been about disproving my stories and making me out to be a liar or something." She had questions, she asked for clarification. It happens all the time. It's not a big deal. If she didn't believe your story, she'd have said she didn't believe your story.

growl and scream... I haven't even read that link yet, but that is exactly what they were doing, it sounded like a scream, I thought someone was taking a baby for a walk or something, then the rabbits came put from behind the slide, out into the light, I heard something like a growl, I though maybe a dog (as I said, there are many vicious dogs in this neighbourhood) that is when I got up and looked towards the other side of the park and saw the dog thing then saw the rabbits move maybe another couple feet, then just froze, all that was moving was their ears as if they were hearing something I wasn't. That is when I started feeling a little... Weird. Like I was being watched or something and I post hastily left and walked a different way home, sorry for being so defensive, don't get an awful lot of sleep lately

all I'm saying is, unless you have heard the sound a rabbit makes then it is hard to describe, I am entitled to think what I like and it seems that with every comment badjuujuu has made on my stories they have only been about disproving my stories and making me out to be a liar or something. My bad if no one else see's it. Either way, every one is entitled to their own thoughts and feelings and these comments are making me feel as if I am being made a spectacle of okay. It took a lot of guts for me to post these stories as every one I have ever told has looked at me weird or told me I am a hypochondriac or that I an imagining things, makes me wish I hadn't bother sharing at all really. Maybe saying "a crap load of noise" was the wrong description, maybe saying they were making noise would of been suffice. Hey kristy, I think it could have been the spirit of someone's pet in the area. Perhaps his owner used to him to the park for exercise and he enjoyed it there. Something about you peaked his interest and he tried to approach you. It is pretty creepy though, especially realzing the rabbits were aware of it's presence also. I would have went straight home too.

Clever: cool link, I pretty much thought that rabbits just thumped when they were scared. Had no idea they could growl or scream... Crazy wabbits! LOL 😊 ❤

Thanks clever. That article sounds about like the noises my rabbits made. They just never made enough noise for me to consider rabbits in any way a noisy animal.

The rabbits were making "crap loads of noise?" What kinds of noises were they making? I had pet rabbits as a kid and they were pretty quiet. The wild rabbits here are quiet, so I'm pretty curious what noises these rabbits you saw were making. I'm honestly not trying to be a pita, but I'm just getting more lost.

miracle dogs do make noise when they walk on leaves I have a Staffordshire terrier and a Rhodesian ridge back and have lots of leaves in my back yard so I no the sounds all to well. As I said, as soon as I saw the dog the first time after it disappeared I got up off the slide I was laying on and looked around ans there were no other animals or people in or near the park or streets surrounding it. Trust me, I have run this through my head over and over again since it happened to try and de bunk it, but no luck, I have been back to this park during the day with my kids but still couldn't see leaves anywhere in this park as it is well looked after by our local council

kristy-lee - you said there were no leaves, which makes me wonder what was causing the sound of walking on leaves. Which further made me wonder if my dogs make noise when they walk on leaves 😆 and I seriously don't know the answer to that, isn't that awful? I mean really, you (or at least I) assume (there's that word) that they do because they are heavy beasts LOL.

Nevertheless, you said there are no leaves in this park and if there was definitely no real, living, breathing dog around, then was the dog making the noise of walking on the leaves? Or was it something else?

I'm seriously going to have to listen to my dogs walking... No laughing here. I'm completely serious. I don't know the answer to this. 😐

my bad I should of probably put in this story that the park is very well lit, there are three street lights down one side and two down the other plus the flood light from the house next door to it so if it had of been "a living breathing dog" I'm sure it would of looked like more then just a shadow, well the rabbits did. And they were living and breathing and making crap loads of noise, until they froze.

as for it's facial features, its hard to describe, it just looked like a shadowy outline (does that make sense) like it was just black, but I could see paws, eyes, ears, tail, no tongue or anything and no other colours but black whereas when I saw the rabbits I could see that they were both black and white, I could see their whiskers, their ears, their eyes (which fyi were brown) even their little tails, and they stopped about a metre to 2 from where I saw the dog the dog the first time. When I saw their reaction, that's when I decided it was time to leave. Hope this answers all your questions lol

how did seeing it make me feel? Well I went home straight away, answer enough. As for being "a living breathing dog" nope sorry, the first time I saw it I got up and looked around and there was no dog any where, not in the park, not in the streets surrounding the park. It didn't scare me, just made me feel... Watched... When I was walking home, I kept hearing a noise behind me, like a dog walking on the road behind me, because there are a lot of vicious dogs in my neighbour hood I kept turning around to see nothing, have I been back to the park since? HELL NO lol not at night anyway. And yes it was distinctly a grey hound, I could tell by the ears and the build of it and the tail gave it away to.

Not to be contrary, but it may have been just a dog. A living, breathing dog. Rabbits are pretty skittish, so seeing them freeze and watch the dog isn't an indication anything paranormal is going on.
There is a rabbit that comes into our yard nearly every evening when I'm out with our dogs. If the rabbit notices the dogs in thefence, he freezes and watches. As long as he's still, the dogs take no notice of him. Freezing is just a survival technique for prey animals. One evening I decided to see how long the rabbit would just sit like that. 15minutes in I got bored and clipped the dogs leashes on to take them in.
Bottom line, frozen bunnies don't necessarily indicate a ghost dog. As for not seeing two of it's paws, maybe the paws were a different color than the rest of the dog's body and just blended in to the surrounding area.

Woooow, I don't even know how to begin on this - what a thrilling read. How did the shadow-dog make you feel? Just a little uneasy? Were its facial details vague or sharp? When you have the bunnies reacting in that sort of "Oh no! Thing that can eat me! Freeze!" mode, you know you're not crazy - rabbits don't just sit still for nothing, they sensed something that they didn't want to be involved with. Have you gone back to the park at all? 😊

This was a creepy experience, especially having to experience it during the night, outside, and by yourself. Animals have an extra sense that humans don't have that allow them to see things we can't, so to have those two rabbits see what you saw is confirmation enough. Seeing this ghost dog, did you feel threatened in anyway? What were you feeling?

Hi Kirsty. Wow, super creepy, and yes I agree with sds.
When I first read "greyhound" the shape and form already gave it away... As to something kind of spooky. (as appose to a labrador or cliche "wolf" dog, if you catch my drift) The greyhound I personally feel, represents similar features of noted reports on paranormal like creatures... The pointy ears and noes, and not being able to see all 4 paws...hello. Lol

Kristy, I have read your 3 stories in this site and commented on it. I think you have the extra antenna to feel the paranormal, spirits, entities. Pursue it in a positive manner. I won't say you are crazy. Well many persons, who don't believe in paranormal have told me that I am nutcase. So don't bother about what others say. It is your experience and you know for sure that it is a paranormal experience. Hence, keep investigating and share your experiences.
