It's okay, don't worry, with your childish responses, lack of ability to understand what I was trying to convey and your own agressive tone, I won't be commenting on any of your other stories or reading them any time soon, so relax.

Larkin-
I might've needed to be more specific, when I spoke of another being "in my place", the place I referred to was my life, being in my body, and knowing my memories and the people who surrounds me. I understood your point, I will admit, I voted on one of your comments negatively, but I voted positive on the good point you made.
You say you weren't being passive aggressive, but you'd be proving me wrong even more if you actually sounded respectful in every comment regardless of my childish actions towards my father. I at least know how to admit my mistakes, and don't think I'm implying that's what you are doing, its not, I say that most likely because its just me admit my wrong doings as long as its a fact.
Respectfully,
Kya

You don't know my family, nor the kind of family that we don't consider family, you don't know who would do what in my place, just cause the feelings from my house is similar to yours from the 2000s.

I say that because if anyone were me, they'd know my father very well, and knowing him very well would make anyone else cautious, same as me.

No, not everyone in your place would have done it, I know because I was in a very similar place in the 2000's and did not do it.

I'm not against them at all, they know very well that the afterlife isn't fake, there never skeptical about it. I know I can move out, but were no middle class family, and until we are, I intend to give it a try in the future when they decide to move us out of this state. We'd prefer to be down south, its just not possible until we can make money again, we are working on that, the only thing that's left is to get my diploma, and catch up on my sleeping. Yesterday I haven't slept in six days, but I got a good night sleep last night, so its a good start. After my sleeping schedule is caught up, along with my diploma, Ill be signing up for a job, so try not to get me wrong, we are working on somethings to get our new life started.
You are absolutely right, I just read your recent comment. Honestly, I feel bad about it, I mean its not enough if just one of them knows what I'm doing. But for sure, I will be able to tell him, I'm going to talk to my mother about it, she usually knows when its okay to tell him about what I have, or haven't told him. There are times when I could be yelled at by one or the other, so even telling her I was a bit afraid, but she tilted her head with a believable expression on her face, he might do so to when her and I work together on it. Really, its not me to always keep secrets, this is the first time it happened while being mature. Anyway, its not happening again, because I'm already finished, he will know about it, no secret can be hidden forever.
I do have faith, I don't constantly post religious things on face book, nor do I go to church constantly everyday with people who speak in tongues and pretend to pass out, its not really my fathers thing. But he has faith to the same as me, for people like us, hes explained our faith, and our temple to god being in our hearts, plus we've seen so many spirits from the time when we were eight years old, my grandfather included. I do agree, you are right. My father has sometime at the beginning of the year when we moved in, he has his ways in keeping demons out, always, negative spirits, but not harmful I don't really know, but the spirits that are like little sprites, messing with us too much he knows how to keep out along with demons, the salt was already done before, we haven't seen any demons since that time, we've seen one outside once, but it couldn't get in cause of the salt, or whatever else my father does to keep out demons. You have made your point, and I agree with you, just know this, my father has his issues, if any other person were in my place, the same thing would've happened. He's difficult at times, but its not impossible to let him know things.
Respectfully,
Kya

Everything should be taken with a grain of salt. What works for some people, doesn't work fot everyone.
I believe part of this works on faith, more likely even two fold, the faith of the user and even the faith of the spirits involved.
There's 'documented' cases of people using or doing things they either don't understand or have little if any faith to reinforce and it reaults in a much worse problem then what it had been.
I was also showing concearn for the parents, because they have every right to make decisions involving their home. It doesn't matter trying to justify it with medical conditions or medication. It shows a disrespect for parents that can cause unneeded tension in a house hold, which could even cause greater problems in the result of paranormal exposure.
These are all things to take into consideration. I take everything here as working theories, not facts.

Larkin-
I should've read through more of what you said. I just don't like to argue, I enjoy being more zen, and Ill be doing that in this next comment. My apologies for claiming your being passive aggressive, your right. But making things worse is what ouija boards are for, and I know better, I always stay away from from doing things worse. I took it in my best interest to use Rooks advise, recipe on that cleansing method. I don't think it be anything worse if its on a site that seems real about the afterlife. There's plenty of stories on this site that accepts real stories, I figured it would include rituals to. Again, my apologies, I'm not trying to look like a fool here.

My step mother already knew, I never lied to her considering she has no problem with what I do. My fathers OCD deals with closed windows and doors, we have cats that try to get out in a case like this, I intend to tell him at right timing, when hes in a good mood, its the only time anything is okay to talk to him about it.
I can tell my mother anything, I did nothing behind her back. I'm finished with this "lie" you happen to claim anyway. I'm just not saying anything, he even thinks that's lying, but it isn't. You don't know this family, and he can be quite scary if I do anything to piss him off in the wrong moment. Again, Ill tell him if he's taken his pills, otherwise, its always a bad time to tell him anything.
My point being, there can be a box he uses, it can have plastic, and trash that isn't even gross in it, and yet he'll threaten to leave, because he assumes, "dirty trash" is in his stuff, so don't act like I can be honest about everything I do when sometimes its not possible. Id just look like the "black sheep" in his eyes, even though he doesn't know my point of view. I'm not always the "black sheep" of the family, he just thinks I am sometimes even though he knows nothing of my point of view.
I shouldn't have to explain myself to you anyway just cause you see me as "lying" to my parents like a child. If I'm not saying anything, its for a reason, Larkin. Now please, get off my back, I don't know you, and I don't care what you do in your life regardless of your passive aggressive comments in my story. I don't care what you do, why should you care what I do?

I am not being passive aggressive, I am being an adult and responsible.
From what the writer has stated, it sounds like to me, her parents aren't really having any issues and they don't want her doing what she did.
As the people reaponsible for the house, the parents and the adults in the house, it's not only their right to make decisions on what happens in their home, but to deny requests such as cleansing the house.
Serious question; what would have happened if what you did didn't work as anticipated? What would have happened if all you did was work up any possible entities in the house and make the entire situation worse?
And I woukd hope the community would agree, they aren't advocating total dismissal of the renters/owners wishes and respect of parents.
You are 21, so you are also old enough to find a job and move out if you don't agree with your parent's decisions.

I'm not sure if Larkin was passive aggressive in the next comment, if so I won't even read it. I usually prefer calling people by there names and genders, but the gender I don't always know so Ill just rephrase myself.
Every human being has free will, I'm 21 years old, and whether my parents like it or not, Ill do what feels right for me, and for this house for the time being, were not moving anytime soon, well probably be here for a few more years for all I know, I don't know when were leaving.
Respectfully,
Kya

I have no idea why I was down vote for my previous comment. I feel a lot of what is said or told on the site can be considered speculation.
If the author is a young adult living at her parents house, she should have asked if it was okay to do what she did first, not try to do it behind their backs.

Kya - we (editors) generally don't make changes unless it's to correct something we are sure is incorrect, as in this case, and grammar/spelling if it isn't too bad. That's why a lot of stories are returned, because we don't know for sure what the o/p is trying to get across or because it just doesn't make sense to us.

Lol, I understand, and my bad. I didn't know if it referred to the spirit I spoke of, I hope I meant no offense to him, I honestly didn't know. I do now though, I wish I had realized. [feelingembarrassed]

My father has OCD, he would be angry if I even asked anyway. Hes angry when I ask, and hes angry when I go for it, so most of the time I can't do anything, I intend to say what I did if he says something feels different about the house, if he says it feels clean in some way.
By the way, people have free will, its not like she can control what I do.

Kya

Kya1994 - it was changed because Rook is a he, not a she. Sometimes we make changes like that when we know something is wrong. Normally it saves having to go through explanations.

It was submitted as "she" referring to Rook, but I guess I should've said the name again. 😁

I doubt Rook would have advised you to do this without your parent's conscent in their house.

Hahahahah, lack of ability, re-read one of my other comments "My apologies for claiming your being passive aggressive, your right." I apologized for my mistake, did I not? I agreed with you on a certain level, of the responsibility you conveyed that I "didn't"... Did I not? In fact after that ONE childish comment that I apologized for, I made points from there, and not to sound anymore aggressive than I already did from the start.
That's not the impression I'm even trying to make, read my stories, say what you want. Ill only reply back with a point to make, and if it sounds childish, I will apologize to fix my mistake, if you even care. Don't tell me to relax, I wasn't even angry when I was making my points in my previous comments. By now, it just looks like your implying you want my attitude to get worse, even though It didn't entirely further along after that "one" childish comment in the first place. I'm just saying... You were starting to get on my good side after the points you made, but as I can see you act as if I'm chasing my readers away when I'm not, its why I even apologized in the first place. Ill remember not to be specific about a point I'm even making again, cause it obviously pissed you off. I was done acting like a "child" after I realized my mistake in the first place, and I only have it in quotation because you act as if I was being a child the whole time, even though I replied back with points to make that I wasn't even angry about. Don't be upset because I was trying to be specific about one point, the rest of the points after my rude comment had nothing to do with my childish behavior before these points were made. You can still think I'm being disrespectful even though I was the exact opposite of that after my apology, but I mean every word I say when I try to be mature, especially when I apologize.
I'm not even going to look at your next comment, you'll have nothing good to say anyway.
Respectfully, even if you think otherwise.
Kya
