Rook, I've heard of that before and believe it is highly possible. I have just never saw anything like that before, they are very confusing one minute he is in my face chocking me and threatening me, the next he is back in the shadows just watching another he is throwing things around, slamming doors, banging on walls etc. Why he goes from one extreme to another I will never understand. It is possible for our thoughts to take form (at least in my opinion). There are different ways this can happen...

First: Many people get together and focus their thoughts... Experiments by Paranormal Researcher Joshua P. Warren carried out an experiment like this in his 'LAB'...a core group individuals came up with the story of a spirit that 'haunted' the lab... They gave it a background and started blaming things on this spirit. As new people came in they were told about this 'spirit' and the things it did... After about 6 months things actually began happening in the lab, things that the 'staff' were not doing and could not explain... A 'figure' also started to be seen around the lab. Some of the 'scary games' kids play growing up also fall into this category or the last one I am going to mention.

Second: More of a crisis apparition situation. This can happen when an individual is under extreme stress or experiences overwhelming emotions... There is a chance that the stress or emotions may actually take shape and form an intelligent entity. Something like this, 'unless reinforced', usually fades quickly but it can happen. The chances are better if the individual this is happening around has some sort of psychic abilities... Know to them or not.

Third: A neutral spirit or entity is attracted to the high level of stress or emotion... Likes what it feels and once energized by the 'energy levels' it may take action towards the 'target' of the 'host's' stress or emotion (s) (in this case anger). Kids 'scary games' (like Bloody Mary) may attract spirits like this... They sense the fear, anticipation, terror... Which ever emotion is strongest... It then picks up on what the group is 'expecting' and then 'shows' itself in that form... Enjoying the rush of energy provided by those 'playing' the 'game'.

This of course is unproven theory... But theory I can accept.

Rook, Thank you for the further explanation on the angry spirit, I feel a little bit better knowing it wasn't deliberately sent and its good to know that there is a protective spirit on the property. I must admit the YGS astral investigators gave me a bit of a chuckle. Now to get rid of him before he throws more of a tantrum so to speak than he has today. He has to go

Silent, I'm fine, baffled, but not freaking out or anything. Like I said it's happened before just not with anyone I've never 'met' in person, never happened to anyone online before. I was more concerned at invading your private space unintentionally. But right now I'm laughing at Rook's comment!

I also have the feeling this 'hat wearing being' isn't attacking you directly. The more I think about it the more it appears like it was quite a 'simple' individual. I don't mean 'simple' as in stupid. But more singular in his thought process. He didn't seem to know what was going on any more than I did. That's the impression I got anyway. I'll mull it over some more later.

Tweed it seems you entered as I was 'heading out' so saw my departure. The Lounge/Living Room area you described was pretty much what I saw.

Silent I am not sure if this spirit was sent with intent, let me explain... I have been reviewing my 'feelings' and impressions concerning this spirit and I think a better way to describe it is that this 'spirit...entity' is a 'thought form'...in this case an individuals emotions built up... The person may have latent abilities... Which took on the shape of this 'angry figure'...The other option is that this is a wandering 'angry spirit' and simply becasue you opened your door it felt it had permission to enter.

Which ever is the case... I do not think this was a deliberate, directed attack... This thing was not summoned and 'sent' to you. Now, the cat spirit... This spirit is attached to the 'apartment complex'...more likely the land its built on. Its protective in nature.

Tweed, Thank you for coming back and telling us what you saw as it definitely clarifies that the two of you were most certainly in my apartment last night. Excuse me while I say Oh merda! Unexpected lounge party at my place. What you saw above you the stringy leaves was my Ivoy planet and the arch with toys was a baby bouncer in my living room. Ummm wow! All the confirmation I needed and trust me its fine things happen I'm simply sorry you had to see him yourself mind =blown The light in the back was me...couldn't sleep and was doing research about the current situation, and the door he was standing in front of was where Lilly usually sleeps... Not so comforting that he was keeping post at my daughter's door.

Rook, I never considered that you were seeing where he could have originated from on the outside and my apartment on the inside. The man was sent?!?! Well that's just infuriating in its self I'm not sure who would have sent him or why but its going to be taken care of as quickly as possible and I will be make sure that it goes all the way to the property line I must admit this has got to be one of the oddest/ freakest events that has ever taken place in my life. It seems I have a lot to handle tommrow, but hopefully it will take care of everything once and for all. Hugs for the both of you... If we were in the same place at the same time, I was standing outside the hallway, in a corner of a lounge type room. Not at the other end of a hall. Hope that makes sense.

You may be right about what I was seeing... I feel it was a mixed impression... Heck the INSIDE I have described my be yours and the 'outside' may be 'where' this 'angry' spirit originated.

It's not an exact 'science' and sense it was spontaneous rather than 'targeted' its really hard to say what I was 'seeing'. So do not feel bad...

Going to wait for Tweed to fill in any details she is holding onto... That may help narrow down what and 'where' we were seeing.

Silentwings, ok little freaked out myself about this NOW but I wasn't when it happened, weird right?
So it really seems I was there. This is really weird for me because I've never done this with someone online before.

I wasn't there for very long, I didn't see the outside of your place. I 'arrived' in the living/lounge area, slightly right of the front door, closer to the wall in the living area, near the corner. I could see up a hallway which was in front of me a few meters away. There was a window to the left of me and (I think) a patio or outdoor landing of some sort further up.

First thing I saw was a tall man with a solid build walking briskly from the hallway toward the window area, to what I think was a patio/door area and walk out/walk through it and leave. (This may or may not have been Rook, not sure)
Maybe 30 seconds later another tall man with a slender build was standing in the hallway. This man was outside a door. The door was (I think) the first on the right up the hall. He was wearing some kind of hat and had shoulder length hair, not overly wavy but it had a bit of volume to it. He stood there and looked at me, he seemed more curious than anything. He didn't move much but when he did it was quick and 'bird like'. He cocked his head to the side. I didn't notice his fingers, but he was a bit back lit so it was hard to see detail. Moments after this a cat like creature scurried up the hall into a room at the end of the hall. This room's light was on and the door was open. The animal was either low to the ground or had stumpy legs. Hard to say, but I'd guess it was low to the ground, in a crouching position as it ran up the hall. It had the build/shape of a panther but was smaller, around the size of a Serval but not the same shape as a Serval, this cat had a longer tail.

I had my shield up, as I always do before I go to sleep. This may be relevant as I didn't 'feel' any vibes coming off anyone and I hadn't 'opened' myself in a safe way to receive anything. So I can't speak to everyone's intentions so well. But if I took a guess based on my perception I'd say the long haired man was very concerned at who I was, and why I was there. I also go the impression he'd come to take a peak at, not me, but whoever ran out the window/door whatever was there. I think he intended to watch this man leave, and instead saw me. I don't think he saw me as a threat, but had a feeling he didn't like the other man.
Again, I can't speak to either's intentions so I really don't know.

Further weirdness, I had a 'dream' that I 'woke up' in this lounge room under a window with a pot plant on the windowsill, the plant had long stringy leaves. It was stark daylight. I looked around at the floor and saw a baby thing. I don't know what these are called but it was a small archway with toys dangling from it. I very quickly woke up in my own bed. I have no idea if I slept in your living room last night or what. I'd like to think that daylight thing was a dream. But who knows.

I've been burning the midnight oil lately and pushing myself when I really should be sleeping. I didn't really shield myself as thoroughly as I usually do last night and I guess this is how this happened. That, and I was thinking about your story yesterday. I will be shielding myself PROPERLY so this doesn't happen again. Sorry!

I'd place the time of seeing the night hall activity at around 2am to 5am CA time, I live here part of the year. Can't be more specific about the time than that, but that's when I was 'asleep'.

Rook, The more you described what you saw dosent sound like my apartment as it dosent look like an old civil war home, but a common apartment complex unless you were seeing what possibly use to be here, when you open the door you are automatically facing the hall but it simply leads to the master bedroom... Grr... Now I feel misleading though most definitely not intentionally so I apologize.😕

Thank you for the reply. It's not 'exact' but seems to be close. As far as what I 'saw' goes all I can say is this... The fact this was an 'unscheduled trip' I was not as focused as I would have been under 'controlled' circumstances.

What I saw on the outside was an old civil war era home... Not a Manor house but a large house none the less. The 'front yard' was barren... Just dust... With a dead tree on the right hand side of the yard. I have a feeling what I am remembering is a cross between the actual physical world and the astral.

Tweed, this is directed at you...

The 'Hat' wearing shadow I saw was 'sent'...the knocking on the door was the means used to have the door opened = invitation to enter. (This is an example of why I 'shield' all the way to my property line and not just the outside walls of my home)

The Cat spirit (manifests as) is attached to the HOME... A protective spirit and it has only become 'active' because of the presence of this 'angry' spirit.

I 'felt' like I had been seen... From the far end of the hallway (opposite end from the living room)...was there anything 'odd' about the 'shadow' you saw?

I really did get the impression that any shields, smudging has only 'locked' this unintended invite into the home. When you 'open' and 'cleans' your home include any 'inside' areas that may lead to the door of your Apartment. Once 'open and cleansed' shield from the center of your apartment ALL the way out to the entryway of the 'large house'. (I do not remember for sure but your front door opens into a hallway of the original home?)

Tweed, I can assure you that it is me I decided to come back because currently this is the only place I have to get answers concerning this situation. Plus I felt like a jerk for leaving after this was posted and people were asking questions.

Rook and Tweed, Firstly let me say that you two have almost EXACTLY described my apartment, except that I don't know what was on the land before the apartment complex was built. The building I stay in is two story with one level being a floor of apartments and the top another set. When you walk in the first thing you see is my living room with a glass door leading to our porch to the left my kitchen/dining room its pretty much attached. Go down the hallway and to your left is the first bedroom where Lilly sleeps across from her room is a bathroom. Directly down the hall is the door to the master bedroom (my room) with a bathroom attached to it and the washer/dryer room in between the two bathrooms. There is no garage attached to my apartment but there is a large parking lot in front. The man I saw in the shadow form was not wearing a hat when I see him but his hands are close to how you described very long fingers but not to an extreme exstent. If you were in my apartment that is fine, it has happened to me before ending up places that I never knew before. Though I am trying to get a better hand on it. Please feel free to post whatever you feel is necessary I am both amazed and slightly freaked but more amazed. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I look forward to seeing what else the two of you have to say.

I 'saw' something very similar to this last night too. BUT I never do this without permission either, indeed I didn't intend to wind up there, or anywhere else. This has happened before on occasion, but NEVER from anything on this site. Oddly enough I KNEW where/what this place was; my internal dialogue ran thusly: 'that chick's place from teh interwebs what's having the ghost drama'

Anyway, I don't know if you want me to say much else. But I think I may have seen you, but that would depend on where you were and where I was. I won't say any more without your go ahead first. I also saw some things that were not mentioned in your post. Again, I will await your go ahead to post that.

Its very rare that I get 'drawn' into something without asking permission. It seems this may be the case here. I hope I am not intruding and that I caused you no issues.

I am posting this here due to... Well what I 'saw' seems to 'fit' this 'on going' experience. Please let me know if it's yours or if anyone recognizes anything, please let me know.

The 'Apartment'...It's part of a civil war era home that was converted into apartments. It's large... 3 apartments (2 upstairs 1 down) as part of the main house and one over the 'carriage' house (garage).

Ok...last night... Things I 'saw'

Hallway: Animal Spirit... As previously described a cat... But not a regular house cat... Large cat... On the big side for a Bobcat. Felt very protective. This spirit sat directly in front of the 'master' bed room. It faced the wall directly across from the bedroom door (bathroom door just to the right) Felt very protective.

Wall the animal spirit is facing: Inside the wall I 'saw' a 'shadow man'...the presence of the cat spirit was keeping him from exiting the wall. He wore a hat... Longish hair... Very heavy feeling coming from him... Hate and anger... One really odd thing about him is his hands... The fingers are EXTREMELY long... Like wrap around things 2-3 times long. Not so nice...

Hallway (entrance...living room?): Wherever I was I am pretty sure I was 'seen'...Shadow man...5'8 to 6 feet tall... Leaving out one 'special' detail that way if anyone 'experienced' anything can fill it in.

Well that's the facts... Reasonably sure this was not a dream... But stranger things have happened.

Thank you for the reply. I made the comparison because my mentor in regression therapy has had clients with serious spirit attachments, and even from my own experiences with other people, we've all seen one common phenomenon in all such cases: the spirit attached to the host during childhood either appears in dreams or manifests on this plane during a certain age to tell the hosts that they're leaving. For quite a few years, they don't make appearances, but it's like a trick. They don't actually leave. Some of them have their own extreme way of 'caring' for the hosts, which can later turn malevolent and make their energy unrecognizable.
Of course I can't make assumptions in your case. You know better. Consider sharing your experience with someone who has known you for a while. People who know you well can usually assist better. I wish you safety and peace of mind. Do keep us updated if anything else happens.

SilverBreeze,The front door faces east its not a house really more of an apartment, the back bathroom would be a west angle I believe. As for the comparison between the story A dark visitor with a warning I don't feel that it's the same spirit, like people spirits have their own feel or aura about them though its more of a feeling in their presence than a color around them. While it can be manipulated to make them seem to be good or bad I highly doubt its the same one because he has been gone for a long time and I don't honestly see him coming back.

I am a new user here. Could you give some more details on the layout of your house, like which cardinal direction the main door faces, the placement of the back bathroom (if you can mail me a rough architectural diagram of the house, that would be really good), tall trees around the house, if any? Also, how old is the house, and do you its history?

Also, I'm guessing you're around the age of 25-28, judging by your other posts. It's important to note that spirits of this sort and the degree of their attachment are usually related to the age group of the victims.

Plus, have you noticed this very important detail? You have written this in your post 'A Dark Visitor with a Warning' that "I turned and looked behind me to find a man with a pale face, black shoulder length hair and what appeared as coal with a flicker of embers for eyes." And you've written here that the bad spirit has long wavy hair and eyes of solid black. See the similarity? (I've met people with spirit attachments like this, I also have a friend who has suffered through this, with the spirits being obsessed about the hosts since childhood. What may appear as a benevolent 'guide' at first can change to a venomous entity once the host/victim meets someone/gets engaged/gets pregnant.)

Rook,Yes the as you said "bad guy" dosent seem to be around as much when the 2nd one is there so it does seem to be a protective spirit which is slightly comforting. I am doing some research as well to see what this could be. I really appreciate you taking the time to look into this as well, hopefully I can put this to an end soon.

Off the top of my head, no I do not 'know' what it may be... I will say there is something in the way you describe the second one... More so now that you have added a few details... That makes me think that it is more of a protective spirit... You stated it yourself...

All of these areas are where you have felt the 'bad guy' (to put it in simple terms) and sense you noticed this second 'spirit' you have not felt the other as much... Am I correct in stating that?

As far as feeling off... The suddeness of this... Attachments of this sort tend to 'gain strength' over time rather than... In the door, in your face... These 'types' enjoy the building 'anger, fear, stress' build up within the household... It gives them MORE of the enviroment that they thrive in for a longer period of time.

There are exceptions of course...

Now after re-reading things there are two possible 'modes' of entry... Either 'it' got in because of this...

"I haven't done anything to open myself up, nor has anything new been brought into my home the only thing that was different was my brother and my sister-in-law were staying with us but I don't see how that could gain him access."

Something 'attached to them' that somehow got past any shields you had up OR... The knock at the door, which you opened... An open door CAN be interprited (sp?) as an invitation... Which indicates that this 'thing' may have been sent... Either intentionally or unintentionally I have no idea... But the 'idea' of the knock leading to the 'open door' suggests that.

So obviously I am treating this as if it happening... Let me do some research... See if I can find something like what you are describing.

Rook, That is one of the main things that infuriates me I don't understand how he got in. I haven't done anything to open myself up, nor has anything new been brought into my home the only thing that was different was my brother and my sister-in-law were staying with us but I don't see how that could gain him access. My question for you is do you know what sort of spirit this could be? Well my first question would be this...

HOW is something 'negative' pushing through all the 'normal' barriers, shields... What have you and still 'making trouble for you...

Best Guess (there are 2 actually)...anything you have done sense you opened the door, which 'it' took as an invatation to enter, has done nothing but 'seal it' in and prevent its departure... Increasing its 'anger'...The second 'spirit' you mention... Either a 'human shadow' or a 'large cat' growling from the doorway... How can you be sure it was growling AT you? Is there any chance it may have been growling at the other spirit?

Enough with the barriers... OPEN the house... Start from scratch... Ensure that all 'exits' (this means entrances as well) are all 'open' then REDO any Cleansing and Shileding methods you have used... AFTER you have taken your Family to the Park and let any negativity burn away during a Family fun day... Once you feel 'clear' then return home and REDO the cleansing and shielding... Once your home feels clear... Then 're-seal' with the barriers of your choice.

Now I mentioned a second 'guess' and that guess places me out on the fence in the back 40. I have enjoyed your 'experiences' but something about the 0-60 of this just isn't 'sitting right' with me... I may be wrong, kind of hope I am... But one thing is for sure I have always been honest and I will not stop being that...

Hey everyone, sorry for poofing at the time I thought it was best seeing how crazy things are with this situation and little sleep trying to balance time with Lilly and work on top of all this craziness. Seeing that I have no other form of help concerning it here I am.

Tweed,I can promise it wasn't because I felt ignored, I know that it takes a process for each experience to be published and to be put on the forum. I too have considered that the knock at the door could have been his way of getting in, though I can't be sure it makes sense. As for it being something attached to my book, maybe seeing it was purchased at a thrift shop and there is no way of telling whom it belonged to before hand though it could be based on the nature of the book 12 years a slave by Solomon Northup but can't be sure. It is possible that this spirit or whatever he is was giving me the sense of being chocked by causing a bad panic attack seeing that there is little to no brusing, it is the first time I have ever been attacked physically by something not human.

Rook,Any questions you have are welcome, I will do my best to answer them. I can tell all of you that things are getting worse very quickly, as I am now not dealing with just one but two spirits in my home. The second has not shown itself except in the form of a shadow that changes from one shape to another. The first time I saw it, it appeared as a human shadow the 2nd time a large cat sitting in front of my bedroom door growling at me. I have continued cleansing god salting my apartment but with little effect I have started letting Lilly sleep in the room with me and I have sheilded her and myself to the best of my ability and yet he still manages to get into my dreams. It's all gotten out of control so fast. Any questions or advice are welcome.

val - you are correct. The date on the story is the date it was submitted. It didn't come up in queue until yesterday. And as you, and most of our members, are aware it does sometimes take time for stories to make their way to the top. And to elaborate, we can't pick and choose what story is next. We absolutely have no way of knowing who has submitted a story until we click on the title and see the author's name.

I could be wrong, but I believe the date on a story is when it was submitted, not necessarily published, and I think this one's only been up a couple of days. Not sure what's up with Silent, but she doesn't strike me as the type to get bent over whether or not any story of her's was getting many comments. There must be another reason she deleted her account.

onething I can advice is to pray and ask God to give you more courage for you and your family's safety, to be your shield and protector and when you encounter it again just say "in Jesus name". I always do that whenever I am afraid and it helps a lot for me

Blerhg I didn't mean to sound like I was diagnosing the knock on the door as it's way of being let in. That should have read:
"Actually [I wonder if] the detail... Blah blah blah."

Silentwings, firstly I left a comment on one of your other stories because I'd noticed you'd deleted your account. I didn't realise you had a new story posted. I hope you don't think people are ignoring your story. I've noticed YGS has bouts of busy activity and lulls of not much. I have a habit of reading the stories in the order they're posted, (backwards up the list) and I haven't had much time lately to spend on YGS. So I catch up when I can. I've only now read your new story. I hope you don't feel ignored.

Okay, now let's get to the story!
It might be just me pulling details and mismatching them with other details. But I wonder if the book you were reading has something to do with what's going on. Notice it went missing after you came back from a smoke. Also, you were reading when you first heard the knock at the door. Maybe there's something in this, maybe not. I think there's an attachment to a (get on this) spell book of mine. I'm still trying to figure this out presently but the presence is harmless in my case. Anything can have an attachment though. I really don't feel one way or the other that's what you're dealing with but wanted to mention the possibility anyway. Actually the detail about knocking on your door (presumably asking to be let in?) is somehow symbolic of and a precursor to this entity's hold over you.

I've never been strangled by a ghost in person. Only in a few dreams. But never while fully awake, so this is like completely out of my league and actually the first time I've ever heard of it happening so vividly. I'm wondering if this entity was able to manipulate you into a strong panic attack and that *this* was it's way of inducing physical sensations.

Well, after saging and salting everything and STILL having him return this is feeling like one of those really super horrible persistent haunts. BUT on the up side it seems to have escalated quickly. I feel this is a good sign because he'll probably wear himself out. (He made a reference to you feeding his energy levels, so he's not the smartest cookie in the jar, but he is persistent and this can't be ignored.)
I've had a similar experience which took a great deal of planning and external help to rid. I very much believe in the help of our guardians and this helped me to banish the thing for good. I advise you to call upon anyone you feel as a guardian figure, call them all if you have many. Continue to salt and sage, this will help your 'helper ghosts' to help you by maintaining a good energy in your home. Having positive paranormal presence around the home really did wonders for me. It's the paranormal equivalent of having security officers present. 😊
I hope you return to YGS and keep us updated. Don't forget to cleanse and shield yourself! You must protect yourself from 'psychic attack', having your moods manipulated like that, waking in a rage. That sounds like the entity's way of creating the energy it seems to want.
