This totally reminds me of the Sixth Sense, it's weird because I just watched it last night. I hope your son is alright. I also believe that these spirits are trying to tell him something, and they're finding him - I don't think they're really desginated to the location itself. But I am no expert. I wish you luck, and I wish your son all the luck in the world in overcoming his fear. If he is able to put his powers behind him, or if he's not - he will be fine as long as you find him the help he needs. I don't think there's anything wrong with him at all, I think he is just far too sensitive and he's learning how to use it.

Your son sounds really well-adjusted for all that's going on. I know I, for one, wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm intrigued by the fact that the ghosts come to your son, rather than staying in an area that was familiar to them during life. Whatever your son has, it must be pretty powerful.

Well I wouldn't be suprised that your son hasn't lost the ability to see ghosts. He's still young and hasn't seen the change of seven years. This being said means hes conscience isn't yet trained to know the difference from what's real and fake. So his mind is still open to suggestion. The real question is why are they revealing themselves to your son allowing him to see them. Eventually your son will learn that they can't hurt him and that he shouldnt be afraid. So when your son gets older he will be able to block out that sense once he believes they arent real. Ghost come in many colors do to the type of energy theyre putting off. The colors don't necissarly determine whether a ghost is good or bad. The see threw blue ones are known as mist spirits, the ones that look like us are full body appirations. The gold ones that he use to see in the beggining are light appirations. Theyre are also ghost that just wanna have fun and play so they like messin around with your son. The bald guy is an example of a malicious ghost, and I'm very sad he is tormenting your son. Considering your situation I highly suggest getting the house blessed. I have had many experiences with ghost and they terrify me. When I feel the presence of one near me I call out in Jesus name and command the spirit to leave. It has always worked and maybe you and your son should try it.

Your child seems to have the characteristics of an "Indigo Child". They are very gifted and sensitive children. I don't believe in ghosts being the spirits of dead people, but I do believe in Jinns, which are other beings (other than humans) that were created by God. These beings can come in any form, animal (like the mentioned cat), or human and can choose to be visible or invisible. Jinns can be good and they can be bad, just like humans. Examples are fairies, goblins, genies, leprechauns, gremlins, etc. If these beings are truly Jinns, that would explain why there are so many of them that your child sees in your home as well as outside your home in public places. Your child is very sensitive and is able to see them all over the place. They may seem attracted to him because not so many people pay attention to them. Anyway, my suggestion is that you lean on your faith and as a family, you stay strong and not let your child suffer at the hands of these beings. If I were in your situation, I would personally confront these beings, just as I was would any human who was bullying my young child. Forgot to mention. Sometimes entities wants to get a past occurance to be known, a history not accomplished. In other words, to unfold an untold story. It is with our help many have been solved. But one has to differentiate one from another.

Pierce= I have experience strange things in my lifetime, as a child and adult. Your son is very sensitive, has you seen. These ghost are what you think they are, demons. When the entity purpose is to scare and mock the child, it's just to get him scare. They know the child's inocence. That is why they appear to him. Children are easy target. The child does not know how to stop these forces. Since you, the adult, will know how and where to go, they know it will be an end to thier pranks. Remember, they have limitations. It is with these entities limitations you have to work with. Remember, they are here on earth for a purpose, that is to get us confuse, out of hope, and be misguided from the truth. Not all is a mystery, once one knows the truth of these prank entities. They can do all sort of things to one and family. Many times I had to be forced to move, when it got out of hand. Read my stories, maybe you can find some answers and understanding. Read similar stories for answers too.

I know this is a little late and I just wanted to get my say in about what Crystal said.

There is a very unlikely chance that he will be deemed a freak by society and by his peers. Nobody really does that anymore. If at the young age he is at and he has been telling people that he can see ghosts, they will most likely be comfortable with him throughout their lives because they KNOW him.

Also, I doubt he has some sort of problem. It seems to me they're trying to tell him something and warning him or helping him some how. If there is ANY problem, it's mostly he's confused and trying to figure out all these messages at once.

your son may be a mediator, a liason between the living and the dead. He has a gift and the ghosts need his help they aren't there to hurt him. They want help from him. Hope your son is not as frightened as he gets older. He will sadly see ghosts forever as long as he is a mediator. The colors represent what kind of energy the ghost is putting off. Black is BAD.

Pierce, I ask you to read my post again, I mention why he is seeing them in the colors. I am not sure of your religion, but I would bless the house as I mention too. As for having them leave him alone, I don't feel he is experienced enough to turn it off yet. It being his psychic powers. Eventually he will learn how to tune out that trait. You yourself, while doing the blessing need to step up and show the spirits who are in control. Tell them forcefully, not violently, that they have no right bothering your son and have to go. A lot of people say ask them to stop, but that don't work so well, as you have learned. You need to tell them they have to go into the light. They have to cross the plane and go back to where they came from.
I know you have heard of TAPS. Its a show on the Sci-fi channel. They go in and professionaly find what spiritual activity is occuring. I know you don't want to have your son in such spotlight, but I feel that they are more than capable of handleing your situation. Plus, when a child is envolved, they go there immediatly. If you don't want him on T.V. There are many other local ghosthunters you could find. Keep reassuring him that you will protect him and never keep put in harms way.

When he says he can see one, take a photo where he says it is and hopefully it will show on film. I have heard of a boy with this problem. A man came along and asked the boy what they looked like and he drew the 2 ghosts. I think 1 of them was dentified.

pierce from where I sit it looks like you have all bases covered and under control. Colors might correspond with chakras. I would teach not to go by color, but go by gut whether dead or alive. As for Sylvia Browne, my jury is still out on her. Keep these cast of characters posted.

I think I may need to clear something up for Crystal and Victoria - The radio station has mediums, ghost hunters, so to speak that come in and do their thing, measuring air temps, take pictures and things, and then they will go through cleanse the house and try to rid the house of the "ghosts". The children will not be at the house during this time, they are going to my sisters for the night. It is out of desperation that we have gone to this extreme. Anything to help.
(I will definately do the white sage. I have seen that done on tv before, just didn't realize what it was they were burning.)
Noone will know about this, I would never allow my children to be thrown out like that , to the wolves. We are private people and I am very protective of my children. People that worked at the radio station had this company come in and 'rid them of the ghosts'. My son will not be known to anyone, no one will talk to him about this, it is just my house that will be known or seen by the mediums and ghost hunters only, not the radio station.
As for the brain injury, tumor, he is completely healthy, sees a doctor on a normal basis, things are fine, he just sees people. He plays hockey but has never had a concussion, or anything.
As for the bald guy, my husband thinks it is his grandfather and we are in search of family photos.
The strangest thing about this is that he can describe the people and how they are different; color, fading, gray, see through, not see through. He is 7, he doesn't watch horror movies, doesn't read books about this, so his knowledge comes from his own mind. That is why I have a hard time not believing him.
I do read about Sylvia Browne. I guess we were so used to him having this ability and doing this that we didn't realize he was 'different' or that our stories would be that abnormal. I was just curious about the colors and hoped someone could help.

first I would like to say that your son is a medium. Secondly the colors he is seeing are most likely Auras. All living things have them, so its no surprise that the dead do too. The different colors are representations of the energy they are made up of. There are positive and negative energys.
Tell him he has a gift and that eventually he will be able to use this gift to help those who are not in a position to help themselves. Remind him that these ghosts can't hurt him. If you want to keep him in your bedroom, that is completely understandable, but there are some things you can use in his room, and throughout your entire house to help keep the spirits at bay.
First you need to go and buy some dried white sage. It comes in a bundle and is very inexpensive. It can be purchased at many local grocery stores. Everynight before you put your son to bed burn the sage in his room. Carry the sage around his whole room, making sure not to miss a single crack or crevice. You have to make sure the smoke fills up the entire room. If there is a closet in his room, use it in there too. The reason this works is spirits, good or bad, cannot be in the presence of the sage. Keep in mind that its an aquired smell to get used to. I use it so much I love the smell, but it is kind of overpowering the first time you use it. Another thing you can do is after you sage up the room real good, take some oil, never used befor, and draw a cross over the doors and windows in his room. While drawing the cross you need to plead the blood of jesus to protect the room and allow no evil to enter. I myself am wiccan, but have used this before and it has worked. These are only temporary fixes. If the spirits start to get violent then I would call in a investigative group to come in and they could help you out. I hope this helps. I agree with Crystal to keep your son under wraps and not expose him to the media. Answers do need to be sought but it's best not to throw him directly into the spotlight. Oh and by all means please do not use a Ouija Board... Things are messy enough already and you don't want to make them worse.

I don't want to discount tht your child saw anything, but why is it that your first thought is not to see if your child needs psychological help? Perhaps he really is seeing people, but isn't it possible he has some type of neurological disorder?

Also, a lot of children make this stuff up as a kind of "cry for attention" when they are being molested or hurt by someone and are afraid to tell.

I think that involving the radiostation is wrong. It's going to make the kid a "freak" in the community and it's not going to do anything good for him, especially amongst his peers. School is hard enough for some kids.

Look, I believe in ghosts and that children see them, but I think your first step should be to check and see if he's 100% healthy first before finding out too late that he has a brain tumor, or a disorder of some sort. It's not as though he says he sees one person or can accurately discribe your mother that died before his birth. This is something that is severely affecting his life.

I'm sorry if this is offense to someone. Like I said I believe in ghosts myself and have posted events that happened to me. But do you really want to find out later that something happened to him and they feel terrible that you didn't get him help?

Please, for his sake at least take him to a counslor to see if he needs anything first. Churches and schools have them available for free.

I really hope he is seeing ghosts, but as afraid as he seems, please, for his sake seek help first.

Shane, covered mirrors are perhaps my own old wives tale, garland of garlic, silly superstition or as you say a present day urban legend. Raymond Moody uses mirrors to create psychomantiums (Greek), while others scry the future with them. Asians employ mirrors for Feng Shui. Some mystics use mirrors to ward off evil spirits, and position mirrors in such a way the evil spirit or ghost will see itself and then disappear. Who has not taken a mirror and allowed another mirror to reflect back into it an image that appears to be infinite.

Why does it not seem plausible or downright impossible for mirrors to be gateways for ghosts, beings or spirits? After all you have found it plausible to believe in ghosts. Why can't covering mirrors help close those gateways even temporarily. Why can't doing this work in conjunction with other rituals like burning white sage? The mind is a powerful and unknown thing. Who truly knows what will work and how much one believes will make it work? It is but a matter of the mother trying it for her son. If after a fair amount of time, if it proves not to be slowing down the intruding dead spirits or beings, then I would by all means encourage the mother to use all other, more accepted, tried and true methods.

Our family home had all the mirrors removed. They were replaced with carefully chosen mirrors placed in strategic areas of rooms. To each his or her own.

JW you are an enigma wrapped in a riddle my friend. I think I have you figured out and you go and change on me. You are a comic one day and serious as Plato the next. But I do have a question for you. What is it with the covering or removal of mirrors? I have been studying paranormal activity for years and other than a few urban legends I have never heard of anyone being harmed because of a mirror. I have heard some say it is a portal to the next realm, but I find that hard to believe and with good reason. Just curious is all.

Depending on your belief you may want to take photos you already have that are of immediate deceased ancestors or family. Use only those photos that appeal to your son and have a positive presence as they also did in life. Any and all deceased ancestors can be called into help protect any family member at any age. These photos can be put close to your son and sleeping area. You may also use well loved objects from deceased loved ones and add your own objects. Consider showing him photos of beings your beliefs support such as
Angels, Buddha, Jesus Christ, Jinns, etc., etc. And etc. Find photos and objects that your son connects with and feels safe with. Ask him what would help make him feel safe and then try using it or doing it for him. The more your son imagines these beings as protecting him the more they will be drawn to him from the other realm to materialize and protect him. He already has guides, but more help called in is never turned down when requested. You may ask protection for your son and your family now and at any and all times.

I would like to suggest covering all mirrors or removing them from his room. Shut any doors with mirrors facing into his room or rooms. Put light where you can get away with it. Darker beings do not like light.

Of course try cleansing and having the home blessed.

Help to show your son that he can tell these people that they are not welcome and he wants them to leave.

Keep your fear to yourself and try to hold a steady even keel about the matter as if you are talking to, with and about live people.

Whoa, I love this one. I can't say for certain what the colors may mean as I am not a medium. But from my understanding mediums often see or pick up on the spirits or entities in different ways. Blue may mean that, that is the way your son perceives good, gray well that is kind of a neutral color, while I know they say black is often associated with evil that is not always the case. As some times the spirit is not able to draw enough energy to be able to full form itself, all you get is sort of a shadow of the person. Remember that spirits are often the way they were in life. If the spirit is mean and nasty well they were probably that way in life. Same with kind, loving, and good hearted people. I often wondered what the world around us would look like if we could see all the spirits that inhabit this plane of existense. You have given me a tiny glimps into that world with your story and I thank you greatly. Now to help you with your son's sleep problem try this. Burn some white sage all around his room starting at his door with your back to the room and moving to the left, ensuring you get every corner until you reach the entrance again then close the circle envisioning the negative being thrown from the room. Do this before he goes to sleep and then some lavander, rose, or jasmine incenses. This will push out the negative energies and allow the positive ones to stay, not to mention freshen up the room from the white sage as it is a strong smell and takes some getting use to. Also you can have your entire home smudged by a Native American Medicine man/woman and this will force out the negative energies from your home and allow the positive to remain or flow freely. Now this may take a time or two especially if you are dealing with a powerful spirit. Which it doesn't sound like. Good luck to you and your family. Paggie said something I forgot to mention, but if it helps, you realize that after seeing so many ghosts, for so long, that he hasn't been hurt in any way physically? That could help keep his cool and stay as rational as possible when it happens if you remind him when something new unfolds. I realize that it's pretty darn scary, but after all this time, you can say it's like watching a horror movie, freaky, yes, but, ultimately, it isn't life threatening like, for example, street violence or a disease.

I don't know if I believe in the paranormal, but I do believe your son is experiencing something special.

This may seem silly to some, but have you ever heard of Silvia Browne? She's (apparantly) a medium like your son and has been on Montel Williams' show many times. Maybe she could be of help?

Wow, pierce, this is pretty intense, and as you mentioned, this is very close to the movie 6th sense (which we can all agree that the gory aspect was just a hollywoodization of ghostly phenomenons for the thrill factor). That bald guy putting his face on the spider man web... VERY SCARY! I think your son has the courage of a marine and you should be very proud of him.
