I just moved into an apartment two weeks ago, finally out of the hood into a nice quiet gated complex. Our move in was smooth did not sense anything in our new place and then things started to happen. My son's door was the first sign, though he blamed it on the wind because the window was open, but when I opened his door I felt a cold chill and it was not chilly outside. I kept opening the door then I would walk back to the family room and then the door would close again until finally I threw my sons shorts at the bottom of the door so it wouldn't close.
This past Saturday I was looking for a cord for my computer as I wanted to use the internet. I looked in a couple of closets and then just decided to wait for my son to come back with his laptop. I did chores around the house, eventually went and sat on my back patio with a book and when I came back inside to change the laundry a black cord was sitting on the kitchen table. The cord was not the one that went with my computer but when I tried it, it fit my computer. I thanked the ghost I think that was my first mistake.
My dog though is taking the brunt of this, he must see the ghost and runs and hides from it. On early Monday morning, my dog got on the bed about 4 am, a few minutes later I woke to what seemed like a faint gunshot and then a few minutes after that I heard footsteps down the hallway, the dog low growled and low barked, but we both heard the steps. I went back to sleep and so did the dog.
On Monday morning I woke up and my bikini top was neatly laid out on the floor next to my closet doors which are mirrors. It was inside out, like if you were in the mirror and put it out it would face the right way on a person's body. That scared the crap out of me as I had thrown it on the floor the night before in a crumpled pile so it was arranged by the ghost sometime during the night.
Yesterday I read online on how to get rid of the ghost, so I asked it to leave last night, to go into the light that people were waiting for him or her. I asked more than once. I went to each room and asked the ghost sincerely to leave, that it was not invited into the house and it needed to go. Last night "Monday" there was no activity.
This morning Tuesday, the ghost moved my flip flop. It must see that I take the dog out in the morning with my flip flops on and it moved my shoe, except I wore my slippers out this morning, so I guess the joke was on the ghost. I took a shower and told the ghost after the shoe incident that I was going to get some holy water to cast it out. I noticed the curtains move in the shower and the fan wasn't on. When I got out of the shower, there were three scratch marks on the mirror through the mist of the shower. When I tried to wipe it with the towel, the scratches remained, it's like there were embedded in the mirror, eventually they faded away before I left for work this morning. But before I left I heard voices in my son's room and it sounded like two males talking, when I opened his door, there was of course nothing there and my son was sleeping.
I tried something last night; I put my tennis shoes by my bed in two different directions next to each other as some other person on line said that it will spook the ghost. I think it worked, but I am unsure, because when the ghost moved one of my flip flops this morning, it was in the kitchen and then thrown in my room. I put the flips flops in my room this morning the same way I had put my tennis shoes last night but when I went in my room this morning to turn off the light, one of the flip flops was turned back to the same direction of the other, so I think the shoe theory is not doing anything about the ghost and it's just playing with me.
I guess I will try sage and see if it cleanses the house. I don't want to piss the ghost off as I did this morning after I threatened it with holy water. I just signed a two lease on this place; I can live with the ghost if the occurrences are kept pretty moderate or simply ignore it. Unfortunately my story doesn't end here... This story will continue until I can find some way to reduce the occurrences, if it would just leave my dog alone, that would make me most happy.
My family has a physic ability and I have seen ghosts all of my life, but they usually are either trying to find their way and leave as quickly as they came. This one, this poses a problem, because I don't think they or it wants to leave. I wonder if the last tenant had the same problem. As long as this doesn't turn into paranormal activity like the movie, I will be a happy camper. If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to anything. It doesn't scare me and I don't want to create negative activity, but I would like it to stop scaring my dog. Personally it can move all the things it wants to, but as long as it doesn't become threatening, then I will have to do something drastic.
