I've had many paranormal experiences throughout my life. This is the first time that I was with someone to witness it with me. A friend of mine was in town and got a hotel room for the weekend. He never believed any of the paranormal experiences that I've shared with him before. He was a non believer, and always told me that he would "believe it when he sees it."
When he invited me to stay with him all weekend. I agreed and packed a small travel bag and pillow and met him at the room. When we first got there everything seemed normal. The room looked really old but it was decent. There was a small living room with a coffee table, tv, refrigerator and couch. Then there was a small hallway with a mirror and sink around the corner. Next to the sink there was a door to the bathroom where they had the toilet and shower. His bedroom was down the little hallway and I agreed to sleep on the couch.
As soon as we got there we put our things down and decided to go eat at a restraunt that was in the same complex across the parking lot. I specifically remember putting my bag on the couch and putting my pillow on the couch with it. I'm very particular about pillows and brought mine from home. It's actually my favorite pillow and I take really good care of it. I know that's a little weird but that's the way I am.
So we leave the room and lock it and go to eat. It's still early in the day. I would say around eleven o' clock in the afternoon. After we finished eating we went back to the room and I noticed that my pillow wasn't on the couch anymore. It was laying on the floor in front of the refrigerator. It didn't look like it had been thrown. It looked like it was carefully placed. It was perfectly placed in front and lined up with the refrigerator. I was a little confused and thought that it was strange, but I didn't tell him. I just kind of brushed it off. So we went out again and went shopping.
We called a mutual friend to come over and we talked and played cards. I remember all three of us went out to dinner and then went back to the room. The mutual friend hung out for a while and when he left we stayed up for a bit. When it got late, we got ready for bed. I specifically remember him unlocking the front door and I saw him hang the do not disturb sign on the knob. As he was doing it he said, "I'm going to hang the do not disturb sign up so we can sleep in late tomorrow morning". I agreed and we said good night. He went to his room to sleep and I fell asleep on the couch. I'll never forget what happened next.
I brought a bag of japanese hard candies with me that my grandma sent me from Japan. I was in a deep sleep in the living room and it was dark. I woke up because the full bag of hard candy somehow flew off the table and hit me on the head. It flew almost halfway across the room to hit me in the head. I woke up in the dark and I was really confused. I sat up in the dark and picked up the bag of candy and put it on the coffee table in front of me. I remember I was creeped out so I went across the room and turned the light on. Then I had the idea that maybe my friend was playing a prank on me. He is very immature and once drew all over my face when I was sleeping so I wouldn't be suprised if he pranked me.
I went up to his bedroom door and it was cracked open. It was dark in there and I heard him snoring so I dropped the prank idea out of my mind. Now I felt really creeped out and went back to the couch. The lights were on now and I turned the tv on for comfort. I still remember which show I was watching. I turned the tv on for comfort and to get my mind off of the situation. I would say about 15 or 20 minutes later he comes out of the room looking half asleep and asks me why I'm up.
I started explaining what happened when he noticed the do not disturb sign laying in the middle of the living room on the floor. He asked me if I took it off and I told him that I didn't. I'm very organized and would also never just toss it on the floor like that. He unlocked the front door and there was no sign hanging there anymore. He looked creeped out and I know that I was at this point. He offered to stay up with me for awhile because he said that I looked scared, but I believe he was too and just didn't want to admit it.
So we stay up and start to play cards and watch t.v and after a while he goes to the bathroom. The bathroom had a springloaded handle on it that was long and slender and positioned horizontally. I was sitting on the couch waiting for him to come back. I heard his muffled voice talking to me from inside the bathroom, but I couldn't hear what he was saying. I kept saying, "what, what I can't hear you." About a minute later he runs out of the bathroom looking scared as hell. I've known him for years and always thought he was a pretty tough guy. That was actually the first time that I ever seen him scared.
He immediately asked me why was I moving the handle up and down while he was in the bathroom. I told him that I didn't. I told him I heard him trying to tell me something but couldn't make out what he was saying since the door was closed. I told him the truth. Continued in Part two...
