A few years ago my dad told me the story of how my great grandmother saw ghosts. It was only a week ago that I found put the stories were true. I'm wondering if this might explain why I have seen & heard things.
These events occurred in my dad's childhood home. My great grandmother was a very religious Irish woman. When her husband passed away she was often depressed. One day while she was doing the dishes, she heard the back door open, then close. She froze. Heavy footsteps walked into the kitchen. They walked right behind her then into the living room. She did not go to see what it was. She believed it was the ghost of her husband. She felt comforted knowing that he was visiting her.
About a year later my great grandmother was taking care of HER sick mother. In the same house. While she was in her room reading she heard three heavy knocks on the front door. When she answered it she saw a black hooded figure. Once again she froze. It walked right past her, & into her mother's room. She did not feel threatened by it. However her mother died that night.
When her mother died, my great grandmother saw two white orbs hovering by the wall. When she went to touch them they disappeared.
We don't know what my great grandmother really saw but this is what she told us she saw. Is it possible that's she had a connection to the afterlife? Is it possible that I inherited it? Please comment.
