The hand actually looks human the more I look at it. It seems like a slap to the chest kind of sorta thing. Like sometimes when you slap someone on the arm or chest in this case it ends up red and puffy. I don't know that's how I get when I play fight with my friends I have really sensitive skin.

The handprint almost looks like it could have been photoshopped onto his chest. If this is not the case, he could have used chemicals to burn it on or even used some kind of coloring material (marker, watercolor paint, etc.) to stain his chest in the shape of that "hand." Moongrim's suggestion of Muchausen Syndrome is perfectly plausible, even if he misunderstood the description of the boyfriend's dream as something that happened while he was awake.

ahwatukee: Please read the "Comments Guidelines" by following the link at the bottom of the page... Specifically this section:
"This site offers discussions on the topic of ghost experiences, with people coming from various cultures, so please avoid proselytizing or preaching, unless the author of a story specifically asks to receive feedback from that religious perspective. This site is not about religious beliefs, it is about actual personal paranormal experiences and exploring reality with an open and investigative mind so we can actually learn more about the paranormal, with the same empirical mind set that made science so successful in other fields. Religions have a lot of wisdom to offer in terms of personal spirituality, but they can also limit our knowledge of the world with old superstitions and unproven dogmas. It's fine to share what your religion has to offer as a possible explanation, but everyone has their own, they certainly don't come here to be converted, so please, don't push it on others as irrefutable fact."

I keep looking at this photo, and it looks like puffy scratches. He may not have been able to put his hand on his chest, due to the broken wrists. However, could he have scratched himself? Perhaps he had something on his fingernail, and when he scratched himself, it agitated his skin and caused the red and puffyness?
I know my boyfriend just has to smell poison Ivy / poison oak and he breaks out in puffy, oozy, burnlike sores! Its gross and creepy!

Moongrim, I believe the OP said it was all in a dream, the shooting the devil. 😜 I don't think he's running through the streets shooting anything.

A man who uses a gun on a 'devil' is someone to be very careful about. I'd say that the notion that he's experiencing waking dreams, is more spot on than any notion that he's experiencing an actual demon/devil.
If such is happening at all. A person firing a gun, is bound to attract attention, usually from the local constabulary. Mainly because guns have a way of 'accidentally' shooting innocent bystanders. I'd hate to be anywhere near anyone who shoots 'devils'.
Rough guess, I'd say your beau and you are having relationship problems, and he's manufacturing the evidence in an effort to keep you from leaving him. Munchausen Syndrome.

Something about the angle of those 'finger' marks is bothering me... Like there were joints out of place... That throws up a bit of a red flag for me. I do not doubt that he had a very believable dream, but I am on the fence about the photo.

ahwatukee, I appreciate the fact that you're shedding light on why people think "Demon". I appreciate the fact that you're extending your personal beliefs and your religious hypothesis behind this person's story. Many people are Christian and I'm sure some will apprieciate the Bible lesson you have provided. Just because other's don't agree with your opinion doesn't mean you can't post it.
Am I right, Jav?
I think you mention Ouiji boards and Tarot cards because your religious beliefs tell you that they're evil and wrong. You were raised with the idea that anything in that nature is the devils playground. This is not your fault. You aren't educated in Tarot, so you naturally go with what people have told you about it. People or readings that you may respect within your religion or church. I think many of us do that.
That being said, I don't think Tarot cards are the reason for the hand print on your man's chest, Rachael. It is a really creepy pattern, I must admit. I'm not sure how the devil could have grabbed him though, with that hand print, and dragged him anywhere. To me, that wound would have looked more like a large welt from the pinched skin that would have occured from the dragging. I do think that there could be an allergic reaction taking place here. Since its on his chest, he could have had difficulty breathing at some point, which could have been highly disturbing, and would naturally lead him to have horrid dreams. Did you ever touch him in that fashion (open hand on the chest). Perhaps you had an oil, chemical or lotion on your hands that he's highly allergic to? Just a guess at least.

My first thought on this story is that he may have some sleep disorder which causes him to harm himself in his sleep. I would suggest a trip to the doctor, schedule a sleep study, rule out a medical cause. I know you say his many-times-broken wrists won't bend that way (and like others, I wonder just how his wrists have been broken that many times) but it's surprising the ways the human body will move in a sleep state. Check it out before ruling it out.
Rook's suggestion of a psychosomatic cause makes a lot of sense. As does Javelina's suggestion of an allergic reaction. Always look into a natural cause before looking into a paranormal cause. Also take Indigo's suggestion into consideration. This guy could well have some people who bear him ill will.

[at] ahwatukee,
Seriously, I'd really like an answer to my question. Since you don't believe that human spirits exist at all, why are you even posting here? The name of the site gives it away. YOUR GHOST STORIES. So you can't be lost, you must know that these are experiences about ghosts. But you don't believe in ghosts. So...what's up?

ahwatukee ~ You seem to have a handle on how to duck and weave and not actually really accept a word someone else with a different belief system has to offer, but each to their own, I just don't find it very "christian" to completely discredit everyone else's insight and views because it does not align with your own beliefs to be honest.
If you want to believe every spiritual being out there is a trickster demon and that divining is 100% guaranteed to cause you to be attacked by a demonic force you go right ahead with that 😊

Its a good thing the mark was on his chest and not his bum. I would get him to go and see a priest, get blessed and pray like hell to be saved by god. On the other hand those marks could be from a bondage session that got out of hand, as Chrissy said "its a fine line between pleasure and pain".we've all heard the song.

Dragonstorm,
From your response you obviously don't believe in Christ, not the word of God or you would not be making the claims that you are and that because you wold know what I know. Furthermore, no one has taught me anything for I have been studying the word of God for 40 years and that is where I get my information from. I'm am saying that Tarot card reading is just one of those ways of opening that door and that because it has to do with gaining insight into the past or future by spiritual means, that is, divining. Anytime anyone is attempting to communticate with the spiritual realm, you are opening up yourself for possible spiritual attack. And just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean that it is not possible. It just means that it hasn't happened yet.
But in any case, my purpose for answering Rachaels post was not to debate over these things, but to give her some helpful infomation if she is actually having this kind of activity, because if she is, then it will only escalate. As far as posting to you on the other page, I had a problem with my screen and when it refreshed I did not realize that I was back on the main page. In any case, if you do not believe in what I am saying that is fine, but I am going to post what I know to be the truth. The very reason that this deception works so well is that people are believing in human spirits instead of what they really are, demonic beings.

ahwatukee ~ Let me quote this from your last reply here...
"First of all, are you or your boy friend involved with Ouija Boards, seances, tarot cards, channeling, ghost hunting or anything having to do with calling upon spirits? If so, then you could have opened a door which would allow a demon or demons to directly interact in your lives."
You suggest here that tarot reading involves calling upon a spirit in order to make this process happen, which is completely untrue.
Furthermore by your rationale that no human spirit is "allowed" to be on this plane suggests that you have only joined this site to discredit every story on here and preach your belief system to us all, over and over again, I suspect this by the fact you have even sent a reply to me saying the exact same thing on a thread I was never on.
I could be completely wrong about this but you appear to me to be a product of a naive belief system that is based on fear because of a complete and utter lack of understanding and a laziness to not open your mind and try to see things outside of a system you have clearly been well trained in.
But like I said I could very well be wrong about that.

Dragonstorm,
Well, there are Holy angels as well, but they do not engage in this type of activity that Rachel is describing, so yeah, if there is paranormal activity actually taking place, then demonic beings would be the only ones responsible and that because, as I said, God does not let human being spirits wander around after a person dies. And for those people who say they do, their information comes from the demonic beings themselves. Furthermore, to say that human spirits are wandering around the would mean that God is unorganized and doesn't know what is going on, but the word of God says otherwise, that is, that everything is open and bare before God and nothing is hidden from his sight. He knows exactly when each person is going to die and there are angels waiting to take their spirits to their repective places, (see Luke 16:19-31).
In regards to your question about channeling, I said that if a person is involed in activities such as channeling, acting as a medium or spiritist, holding seances, ghost hunting and the like, these are ways that open the door for these demonic beings to intrude upon peoples lives. It's like an inventation.
Because people believe in human ghosts they go about calling upon them, not realizing that what they are calling upon is not a human spirit and this is one of the ways that they open that door.

[at] ahwatukee ~ I don't really know where to begin with that reply you gave there, I respect you are "in/with God" this I have no query about, however are you seriously suggesting that to read tarot cards one needs to channel a spirit to do so and that all of these spirits are demonic ones?
And on top of that, that EVERY single spirit that is wandering this plane is actually a demonic entity deceiving the entire human race for the purpose of their own gain and amusement?
That's the basic jist of what you are trying to say right?
🤔

rachael-lucas,
This whole experience seems to be based on a dream your boyfriend had, a very horrible sounding dream, but a dream nonetheless.
The markings on his chest, quite honestly, look to be either an allergic reaction or a bad attempt at covering up a marijuana leaf tattoo. And I'm leaning toward the allergic reaction to something myself.
You mention that he's "broken his wrists so many times", I'm wondering how he did that. I mean specifically "so many times". How many times has he broken his wrists?
If I am wrong, that's fine, I'll go with Rooks explanation.

The word I was looking for was/is...
Psychosomatic: Mentally Induced...
I feel that this may be what your boyfriend experienced... His dream was so REAL to him that his mind caused those marks to appear on his body.
Just My Opinion...
Respectfully,
Rook

rachael-lucas,
I'm wondering if this isn't a case of 'mind over matter'. Let me explain...
This 'dream' effected your boyfriend so deeply that his mind 'caused' the marks to form on his body.
Think of it like this... You have a vivid dream about cooking... While your cooking you manage to spill hot water on your hand... You wake up, your hand is red and begins to blister as if you really had spilled hot water on it. The dream you had was so vivid and 'real' to you that your body reacted as if the water had really been spilled on your hand.
I know there is a term for this phenomenon, it's just escaping me...
Respectfully,
Rook

I'm sorry to come back again so soon, but this one bothers me. Can you please tell us also how he broke his wrists so many times? Geez I have soooo many questions in this one. You live in Oklahoma, do you attend any type of church, especially a native American type church? Have you come into contact with any cactus plants around your home? Can you tell us how long the welts and scratches stayed on his chest, and did they scar at all? These questions may sound weird, but I'm trying to cover all bases and not ruling out the paranormal at all.

This is very upsetting to me. I've had negative experiences like this before, but not quite to that extent. Whatever you have here, it seems to be very upset with your boyfriend. You may have a poltergeist in your home, and I might recommend calling in a priest to bless the house. I'm not a christian per se, but I've seen this approach be effective before.
In the meantime, speak your intentions to this thing. Let it know that it is not welcome! Sometimes that's all it takes. But if this persists and continues to be detrimental to his health, you may just want to leave the house for a while and stay with friends or relatives and see if it let's up. If you find out that it only happens at your house, then try the blessing, or just get out for good.
I hope this activity stops, but consider your safety above all else if it doesn't.

Your story says you are a teenager... May I ask, without sounding rude, how old is your boyfriend? The reason I ask, is I'd like to know if it's possible that he's upset a few other people... Ex wives, ex families, people he quite possibly could have "wronged" in some way? I'd like to know before expressing an opinion, because several things could be going on here.

I know it is very easy for me to say but try not to give it too much of your energy. You will get a lot of advice from this site which I am sure will help. Please keep us updated.
