Is My Mom Trying To Tell Us Something?

My mother died on Mothers' day 2012, she was home in NC when it happened. My cousin called me while they were getting ready for her funeral. She said she found a book behind her couch she's never seen before?! It's called "Heaven Is For Real." It's a true story of a little boy that died and came back and told what he saw.

Later I went with my boyfriend to see his mom on Mothers' day. His mother is not a believer and said someone gave her a book when her daughter died, she said she'd like for me to have it. I almost fainted, it was the SAME BOOK my cousin found behind her couch?! 😳 I couldn't wait to call my cousin back home in NC to tell her what happened. She said..."do ya think aunt Margie is trying to tell us something?!" That was my mom's name. It blew our minds! 🙃🙏

Messages From Beyond

Yesterday I had a doctor appointment with a doctor I'd never seen before. I wasn't sure where I was going. As I kept driving I realized I was in my mother's old neighborhood.

I hadn't been in that part of town since she died on Mothers' day, 7 years ago. All kinds of memories came flooding in, stirring up mixed emotions of sadness and happiness as I passed the street she used to live on.

On the way home from the doctor's office I turned on the radio, The Eagles were on, playing one of my mom's favorite songs. I just had to laugh, she had an old Eagles tape and would play it every time we got in her car. One day I told her if she didn't play something else I was going to throw it out of the window!

As I was coming up on the street she use to live on, I heard part of the lyrics to her favorite song..."this voice keeps whispering in my ear, telling me I may never see you again!" "But I get a peaceful easy feeling, and I know you won't let me down!" 😳🎵

I got chills as I passed her street and heard that song. I wondered if it were her playing it to send me a message. I wish we'd have gotten along better when she was alive. 🖤

The little synchronicities in our lives that occur every so often give many of us hope and faith that there is more after death. In this case, I do believe your mother - or at least your guardian angel - was indeed giving you messages from beyond the veil.

Tiffanykelda, thank you for taking the time to read my story. ❤ It truly is a wonderful feeling when someone else can relate to what we are sharing! I'm so sorry you lost your mother, but I believe we will all be together again in a much better place. So now you can let your ex know you've met someone else with a similar experience!

Cheribum,
I am so sorry about the loss of your mum but I definitely believe that she is sending you signs. I just love that she is letting you know. My mum passed 18 months ago and I believe she sends me signs through music.

Both me and my mum loved an artist called Ben Howard. He had a song called keep your head up and we would sing it all the time. Recently after a hurtful breakup, when I was missing my mum the most, I was in the Netherlands (I live in the uk) studying as part of a scholarship. I had bad imposter syndrome and was really debating my worth, my future. If I was capable of doing this research project, if I was smart enough. I wanted to change who I was, wanted to change my look even. I missed her so much and felt so alone and the future scary. I walked into the hotel to check in and the song came on as I entered. Five minutes before I had asked her for a sign that I wasn't going to fail, that I just needed to know she was there. Thing is Ben Howard is quite alternative and the whole time I was in the rural area of the Netherlands I didn't really hear alternative British music. That was the one and only time that I did. Although we both shared many special songs together (we both went to festivals and gigs a lot) this song fitted my situation perfectly. It has a line 'keep your head up, keep your heart strong, my darling, keep your mind set, keep your hair long' I felt my heart swell, just like she had given me a hug. It's the feeling, the certainty that accompanies those moments as I have had a few of them. I could feel her presence. Sorry for rambling! Thank you for sharing your experience, reinforces my belief that people send you signs as my Ex said I was looking for things that weren't there. ❤

Thank you Daz, it's so awesome to get signs from people we've known through music. I can see you understand. I bet you were awestruck to see your dad that night at the window, I know I would have been. Yes, I've heard it said too that we are in the prime of our life on the "other side."

Yes Lealeigh! 😁 She drove me nuts with their music. No, my cousin and I grew up on "the bible belt" of NC and have always been believers. Later my cousin found out her daughter had the book and didn't know where she had left it?! My cousins were close to my mom, we all grew up together. All my family is back there and it was good my mom was there when she passed away. She was with all of our family, I'm the only one left in Oregon. I agree, I think we know more when we die. ❤ Thank you Maria

I haven't read the book, however I'm very familiar with that particular story (heaven is real) as of many others I have listen to over the years and yes our dear departed loved ones do enjoy giving us signs through the music at certain places and moments in time.

I do remember on one occasion back yonder being in my car with the radio off and asking for a sign through the first song that came onto air and sure enough... The Living years came over for play and at that time unbeknown to me... The verse where he sang: ''I think I caught his spirit later that sane year''actually came into fruition.

On one evening at home preparing for an early night I saw my father standing outside my window I couldn't believe it, he walked toward me pretty much all the way to the face of the window, no doubt it was him albeit looking much younger and no doubt the song earlier on, was his own way of preparing me.

Thank you for sharing it,

Regards Daz

Cherubim,

It makes me smile to imagine how your mother ran that Eagles tape into the ground. My mother likes the Eagles and if I never hear "Hotel California" again, it will be too soon.

I wonder who is behind the book giving. You said that your boyfriend's mother is a non believer; is your cousin a non believer too? Was your cousin very close to your mother?

I think that, even though you and your mother didn't get along, she is very likely reconciled on her end. I think that, when we die, we can see other perspectives.
