A Feeling Something Is Watching Me

Hello my name is Mel, and what I'm about to tell you has been happening for over half a year. I live in a small town. And a few years ago my parents recently moved to this small town. I sleep in a VERY small room. It actually was a home-office. I've been sleeping in there for around 4 years. I used to be able to sleep soundly with my night-light off.

Some time after my 13th birthday I started getting this feeling that something was watching me. I have always believed in ghosts. But now it feels odd. Like something is watching me... 1 foot away from my bed. Just starring down. This only happens in my room. Usually at night. When I'm getting ready to sleep. I can no longer sleep with out some type of light. So now I sleep with my TV on.

I also feel as if something is watching me when I'm home alone. Again, only in my room. Sometimes it's so bad that I cant even enter my room when I'm home alone. I often feel this way in my room, almost anytime whenever I enter my room. Which scares me.

Another thing that scares me is that sometimes my dog will play with me, then seconds later, run out the house barking like a crazy maniac dog-thing. And for no reason, hell just turn and bark and run out our doggy door. Also, sometimes at night it sounds as if something might be in our attic. But I'm not sure, it might just be rats. Also, if its night time, I cant leave my room once I'm inside it. Because once I open my door I see the window that shows outside (sadly we don't have blinds for it). Every time I open my door at night (rarely), I keep picturing some guy with a shotgun staring at me. It scares me so much, even though I know its just in my mind. No matter how hard I try, I only picture that guy. That also scares me, because around this town there's often people shooting guns.

To this very day, I still get the feeling something is watching me. Sometimes it feels like its going to hurt me. Or its telling me to get out. And sometimes it feels as if its just watching, smiling (which still creeps me out), and waiting in the corner of my room. I feel as if one day I may see the ghost. As if I'll just turn around and it'll be there. Starring at me. And of course, I would scream and run out. The only way I'm getting through this feeling is because I have 2 dogs to protect me.

Any idea if I'm just paranoid? Or maybe I really am being watched... But by what? Could it possibly be a demon? Or just a family member that died long ago? Or just some ghost? A person did just recently die in this town. Could it be him?

Please help me. I am very scared at this point. I can hardly look into a mirror because I'm afraid I might see a ghost of some sort. I haven't done anything that could make a ghost want to haunt me. No ouija boards. No ghost books. I never tried talking to the dead. Is it just me being paranoid?

i don't know what it is... But you know I've been getting the same feeling since I turned 16. I mean I don't see a image of a guy or anything. I would just say ignore it too... And try concentrating on something else.

That happened to me once. In my mind I was thinking about my husband's cousin mom died laying in the casket. I don't know why all of the sudden I was thinking and picturing about her. I had an eerie feeling that she or someone was behind me. That morning, I was getting ready to go to work and I knew I was going to see something in the mirror like a black figure or a black object. Guess what? It was so stupid of me I screamed so loud in the bathroom as I saw a small image of my stupid black hair. I ducked down quickly and slowly peeked up and it was me. 😆

It may sound like I made up a fake story but it was true. I'm thinking sometimes we think too much and later scaring ourselves.

hello, I do think that's only your imagination. You know, when I was around 13 I had the same feeling as you. Sometimes I felt someone was always standing behind my back while I was doing my reading or homework. Once a while, I even held a pipe swearing at the air. But until I was in high school, all of sudden, I found all my feeling of that is so ridiculous, I mean, if someone or something wants to hurt you why the heck they would spend such a long time to peep you. And now I feel totally free from that kind weird feeling. So hope you get rid of it soon and living happily everyday 😁

Reading this has kind of opened my eyes, because there have been times in my life when for months I will feel like someone is standing over me, glaring at me while I sleep. When I got a little older, I just sort of "took charge". I feel like I "own" my personal space now. But there is this one place right on the edge of our property where I still feel like something watches. When I sit outside at night, I don't like to even be in view of it. I pushed it out of my space, but I can't "own" beyond the property line, for some reason. I've kind of passed it off as my imagination, even if it scares me. It's comforting to hear other people say they've had the same thing happen.

I ALSO FEEL THE SAME!
Ive seen the ghost before in the form of a shadow man. Actually, I'm assuming that's what it is because I have seen the shadowman before and I think he might be following me.
To meganelle:
I HAVE THE SAME FEELING I wrote an email to someone just now about my ghost problems and I feel as if it didn't want me to write that or this and like I'm being watched right now... I'm scared too...

Mel, Your story has brong me to tears because the same exact thing has been happening to me! The only thing that's not happening to me in your story is seeing a guy with a gun. My dog has done the same weird things, I'm feeling the way you are, only in my room but sometimes other places. Like right now I feel like it dosent want me to write this... I'm really scared.

Oh man can I relate to you in so many ways. Well when you are in a place, being your room. You are familiar with it, you feel safe, you feel protected. Once something that you don't know about, intrudes and resides there. You will definitely notice it, because it's disrupting your ecosystem "parse". At any rate, it's only natural to feel like there's another presence or something is watching you. The best thing to do is to not be afraid, because one... You don't know what you're afraid of. And two, you haven't seen the presence that makes you afraid. But out of topic, do you have any electronic devices near or around you? Maybe even a large energy source in the walls maybe even under your flooring? And the part where you felt you couldn't leave your room, with the fear of someone being in front of you. That is quite intriguing. The best thing to do is to keep your door open, put a curtain over that dreaded window and light a lamp there.

hey mel:]
Interesting story... Have you tried talking to your parents? Maybe they can do something about it and move you to a different room...? I don't think youre just imagining it because it seems that you feel very strongly about this... This is a bit extreme but if you really want you can get a priest to bless your house if you feel you do really need it. About your dog, animals have strong senses which probably means something. I don't mean to scare you but maybe there is something there. Maybe you can go sleep with someone else in your house...? Also you can get a protective prayer and tape it to your wall and whenever you feel strange try saying it a few times. Maybe there really isn't aanything going on but be safe! I hope all this advice helps. I really hope your okay ❤ ❤ god bless:]

thats kind of freaky. E careful... But please be careful, like you mentioned, sometimes it feels like its evil, or smiling, this might just be something evil trying to get you to talk to him, or trust him enough so that he could (god forbid) do something harmful.Sometimes, I get very wierd Deja Vu's,like when some event is happening or the first time, it'll feel like its already happened, or some normal thing will b going on like my sister & her friend will be sitting together and talking, but I'll always feel like it's Already Happened Before (soz about the caps, but if I could put it in italics I wud!) Everything! The conversation, their sitting positions,their...everything! I usually have to walk past that room 2-3,sometimes 4 times, to shake off that feeling. Anywayz, please I would advice you to be careful, if you decide to approach it, approach it WITH a priest or someone,ok?

GhostGal, When I was your age I would often feel as if someone, or something, was watching me. It was mostly in the house I grew up in from the age of 5. It really is terrifying and it feels horrible. My mom has always been very religious, but all 5 of us kids, and our friends, could have drawn evil things to us simply because of what we were and weren't doing. We weren't playing with the ouija or doing witchcraft or anything like that. We were just doing bad things and not living right. We also weren't praying unless something bad enough was going on which compelled us to do so. At times, just walking by a window after dark was an ordeal. My mom always had the blood of Jesus prayed over her house, but sometimes one of us would bring something in with us. She would then go through the house with the bible and put extra virgin olive oil on the doors, door frames and window frames. While carrying the bible through the house she was rebuking Satan in the name of Jesus and telling him that God and Satan cannot reside in the same place, and her house belongs to God. She said that her house is God's house and he must leave right now in the name of Jesus. Because of the clash in lifestyles between her and us it was always a struggle between good and evil. We could usually feel something outside of her house looking in at us, just awaiting the chance to be let back in. At the house I live in now, once in a while I do feel very frightened about the back window in the master bathroom, but I face my fear and it eventually goes away. This happens about once or twice per year. I think that you will be alright. What you should worry about are the real people in the world who can hurt you. I've always told my children that the boogeyman is real. He waits around a corner, behind a bush, or perhaps even outside of the window. He will grab you, torture you, kill you, and maybe even dismember you, and he's not alone. There are lots of boogeymen. They are everywhere. So, get your priorities straight and know what's important and where you're going. If you feel that there's something not right in your life do something about it. Don't expect Daddy to put up some blinds and make everything better. This is your fear and you have to face it and deal with it in your own way. I believe that you are stronger than you give yourself credit for being. I have faith in you. Have faith in yourself. It would be nice if you would have faith in God also, and call on the name of Jesus anytime you need him. Take care of yourself and stay strong.

Try talking to him or her. Ask them if they have a problem with you staying in your house. Sometimes ghost just want to be acknowledged. Very rarely do ghost hurt you.

TheUnknown,

The weird part is, I'm the only one that can sense it. We have an old broken-down house, one worng move and it'll come down on you. It's about 2 neighbor hoods away. I think that might be where he lived. I'm not sure. I'm just thinking 'out-side the box' lol. But he doesn't seem to scare me. In fact, it's kind of cool. I'm alway's up for a horror movie, maybe this'll turn into one;) (trying to keep from being scared, so acts all cool, lol) but usually when I'm home alone ill be by the big sliding glass door, and a shodowy figure will pass by. I can't make out if it's just somethin like clothes on our clothes line or not. O_o only happens when I'm home alone tho...

Cool,a future seeker, like me, but my sights of the future are blurr, so I can't tell what they meant. But your stories nice. The part about you seeing a spirit holding a gun may be telling you that someone is going to be scared by this spirit.

Please Mel,don't look back, you might end up with something scary...

Velvet,

I don't know why, I have always have had sharp senses. I could always tell if something bad was going to happen.
example 1: WHen I was around 6 years old, my friend Evan was riding his bike, he was going to go off a small ramp. I told him not to, he just kept saying "bug off, twirp..." (ok, he wasn't my friend, but my brothers) he was going up the ramp when it broke on him, he sprained his ankle.
example 2: about 3 years ago I was riding in the car with my dad. I told him to slow down. He asked why. Next thing you know the car next to us trys pulling into our lane. My dad had to quickly hit the breaks. I wanted him to slow down for the car to get into our lane.
example 3: this happened about 1-2 monthes ago. We were behind a car that was going a little fast. I told my mom to pass it 2 or 3 times. She finally does. Next thing you know the car that was infront of us, his tire pops. His tire pieces went flying everywhere.

it may not seem that weird, but there's been a lot more stuff like that then just that. Its weird to me. I can kind of sense when somethins going to happen. Is it just luck? Cause its confusing me a lil

Sapphire,

Wow, that's a little weird. It might just be bad wiring 😕 but have I ever had experinces like that? Well... Often ill hear our door that leads to the garage slam about 2 or 3 times. SOmetimes its my brother. But 1 time it happened and my brother was in his room. So I was going to check if anyone was in there, like my dad. But it felt weird. I didn't even want to touch the doornob. I felt like something wa sin there. But, sadly, to scared to check. Its usually only slamming the door. I think atleast... I often lost my cross necklases, tho I'm not sure if that was just me being stupid or if somkething stole it. Don't know 😕

Thanks for sharing.
Funny how by no sound or visible sighting, we still could sense them. I get this feeling at my Mothers house. Its very old and I would always experience something when I was younger. Luckily they left me alone after our family went their own seperate ways. (very wierd)

Hey Mel

A similar experience has been happening to me. My flat is part of an old converted townhouse in london and I have felt for a while now that someone/something is watching me and its only ever noticeable when I'm on my own. Its hard to tell whether its good or bad but I'm guessing as it hasnt (yet) harmed me it can only be good. I would suggest to you the same, if whoever/whatever is watching you was an evil entity it would have manifested itself to you by now to try and scare you. At least that's what I'm telling myself about my experience otherwise I would never sleep at night. Do you experience anything else strange? My radio and tv regularly switch themselves on but only when I'm not in the room. I thought it was dodgy wiring but my radio back home used to do it when I was younger. Strange. Anyway - I'd be interested to hear if you've had any other strange goings-on? Sapphire

MOTHERPANN,

I know. But whenever I get a corss necklace, it vanishes. I retrace my steps, but its never there. And no way could it fall off my stand, cause it wasn't on the edge or anything. And whenever I ask my mom if she took it. She always says "No... I thought it was on your stand?" That happens everytime I get 1...

I have a cross necklace and one time I noticed that my chain was unhooked and the cross missing and I freaked because it was from my grandmother and it had 17 diamonds in it. I retraced my steps and when I went into my son's room I found it. (I had gone in there to wake him for school) Strange thing tho his room was a real mess, he was a teenager, and he was known to play music that, at that time, I felt demonic, black sabbith, ozzy, etc and so I always felt his room was not the friendliest place to be, well anyway my cross was on the floor, BUT it was like all the junk and clothes and stuff parted to stay away from the cross, because it was in a little bare spot and the stuff was all around it was not touching it like the cross had repelled all the evil. So crosses CAN be helpful at repelling evil, especially if you get it blessed or anointed with Holy water.

Angel2008,

Actually, I think it's just telling me it's there. Cause it hasn't done anything frightning yet. It may just not want to be forgotten, I'm not completly sure. Hey, it could just be my imagination, don't know yet.

Moonshine,

I had a cross necklas once. I wore it for 1 day, I took it off to go to sleep, when I woke up, it was gone. So... I kind of gave up on cross necklaces, I keep losing them.

Princess123,

I try not to talk about it, but when I was younger I often felt like something was near me. I never felt scared or anything. I learned to ignore the feeling by the time I hit the age 8, when we moved. I only felt like I was being watched when I was in our rental house. It was a sort of old house, 55 years old when we moved in. So we didn't know much about the backround. It was only intill I turned 13 did I again start get the feeling.

anikenlee,

Thanks, I really think that might hope. I'm not really chirstian or Biddist, actually, I live on faith. I try to think about every religion equally. But I will try that cross. Cause it seems easy enough. The buddist way would take awhile... You know, having to buy everything.
