Scary Doll

When I was Younger, around the age of 13/14 I would go hang around my best friend's (Sophie) house. Now we both loved the idea of ghosts and she told me how her house was actually built on a cemetery. She had told me previously there was a lot of weird happenings at her house, but one day as we sat in her room she told me how one of dolls would switch itself on.

Of course I demanded that she show me. Sophie removed the batteries and attempted to try and get it to move. Now this doll would move and play a tune at the same time but was battery operated. But the doll didn't move. After a while, we gave up and placed it at the far end of the bed by the pillow, while we sat on the floor the other end of the bed. We chatted for awhile when suddenly the doll moved and played its tune (still with the batteries removed), it moved so that its face was looking directly at us! Totally freaked, out we ran out of the room.

The other time, I came round her house, I refused to be left alone with the doll. Of course, she managed to lock me in her bedroom with it and of course it played its tune again. This time I was so scared that I grabbed it and Broke it (Ripped the wiring out).

Many other freaky things happened in that house but she has since moved.

I believe your story and that's a scary experience to go through, just know that things (such as a doll) cannot be possessed. Only people can become possessed. This is an intelligent hanging situation where the spirit was using the doll to make itself known to you... I would imagine because it was an easy thing to get your attention so unfortunately breaking the doll was useless because it would either find a new way to get attention or see that it scared you and stayed quiet.

i have a friend who swears her barbie doll walked on its own, she freaked out and ran upstairs (I lived in the apartment above hers) and woke me up at eight in the morning. I was too scared to go into her bedroom for a month. 😁

I would have beat my friend senseless if she did that to me! PURE EVIL! And that is just weird. I probably would have screamed, threw it into the wall, and stomped it. 😠

Wow, why did your friend lock you in the room? I wonder if one of the spirits was controlling the doll.

Hello,

That is such scary story, especially the part where you said you got locked in the room with it or something like that!

I hope I don't have a haunted doll like that!

With care,

Princess123 x ❤

Dear ErinT,

Well...I guess Sophie's house has a resident ghost. Probably one of those ghosts who like making pranks on the living in order to scare them in order to enjoy their life/afterlife and have a good laugh. As for your friend pushing you into her room, that was a mean thing but still funny. As for the doll, she should have gotten one of those Russian dolls with several dolls inside; those are not scary at all. Nice story and I give it a 5 star rating.

Thank you for posting your experience and sharing it with the yourghoststories community. God bless you and take care.

Sincerely,

Francois 😁

When I was little I never liked playing with dolls. Once me and my cousin locked ourselves in a room with and old doll. We started goofing of and telling ourselves the doll was real. I shoved the doll at my cousin and he started screaming so I put the doll back on the floor and then it blinked! 😲 We threw the doll in the garden the next day 😆

So,you did destroy the haunted doll,CONGRATULATIONS!I too hate girls with doll collection as what other male posters in this story commenting. I have a reputation of throwing the doll into a fire(haha, this is true if my neighbor burns dried leaves) and set the spirit free from its doll prison. 😊

wow. That's really freaky.
ghost stories always scare me but there's something even freakier about doll ones.

me and my sister had this doll, well it was my sisters but we'd play with it together.
it was really freaky. It used to always move around the house, like we'd put it somewhere and then went to get it it was somewhere else. And we both swore we didn't do it. I know I didnt. But she could of and was lying to me lol.
everynow and then id move it on purpose to scare her. Hehe

but once we found it moved and it had dirt all over its white pants. That was the last straw lol. We stopped playing with it and I havnt seen it since that day, I duno what happened to it haha. I havnt thought about that in like 10 years.

omg! Something similar happened to me
i was around 5 and I was about to go to sleep and I saw my doll that was up in the shelf start moving its hand. I was scared so I told my brother, he was 3.
we stared at the doll for a while
and then it looked at us and winked
i screamed for my mom to come into the room
she was in the bathroom lol
anyways we climbed into my mom's bed and stared at the doll
it moved its hand again, like a beckoning
and it laughed!
i was so scared I started crying and my mom came in and we told her
the thing is the doll could laugh, and it could say mama, if it had batteries in it. But this doll... DIDNT have batteries
i brought up this doll recently, I'm 17 now, and my mom said.
oh that doll my friend gave you when you were a baby?
anyways yeah I think the previous owner died and it was in there or something
sorry if this is confusing its just how I could remember it

I guess it's a haunted doll like some. They are mostly sold on e-bay people buy them. You will get loads of money. Now if it's a cemetery built where the house is then that is the reason. It could be a spirit/ghost. Nothing of mine moves or sings by it self I don't think so anyway. I did have a dream about a porcelain doll sue she wanted me to get her down from the loft I only got mine down and I don't know there names. I think my sister has sue I'm not sure. 😐

Iv'e had those kinds of doll things happen where I've lived, but with my sister's dolls(not mine)(and not that I had any). I heard from my brother that my sister barbies and other dolls used to sit on a shelf and in the morning they would be in different positions. Another time in my current home an electronic baby doll we no longer have used to just laugh(that was its function) at random time. No one could have activated it since it was alone in a closet.

I agree with rose. I have never had a scary doll experience though. I have a big box of barbie dolls I keep under my bed. I barely play with them. I know I'm a bit too old for them, but who cares? I get scared of them mostly at night. And here is something very intresting: Sometimes I feel my bed shake. It's not that scary because I'm very used to it. It happens a lot. I think the cause is from the barbie dolls. Pretty strange, huh? Oh, and I know this girl who had this scary doll experience:
Back in fifth grade, Kambria told our fifth class that she caught her barbies floating in mid-air. She was playing and left them on the floor. She had to go to the bathroom so she left the room. But she left the door open a little. When she came back, she saw an amazing thing through the crack of the door. Her barbies were floating! Nobody belives Kambria's story except me. How odd!

HAHA nice one rose but it could happen like dead silence dolls could be possesed by demons or former evil vantriliquist. I'd advise you to not buy any dolls that the store owner might say something wierd about like"I hope your a strong fighter" then that really takes the cake!
