I recently moved into a renovated apartment above a garage, 75 yards away from our landlord's house in Chepachet, RI.
I used ear plugs to get used to the new location for the first month. Now I decided to put them to rest, but strange things just began happening. Between 3 am and 4:15 am on June 18th at approx 3:50 am, I heard 3 loud bangs in the kitchen outside my bedroom in my open layout apartment. I wake up from the slightest peep, so this obviously startled me. I didn't want to move and couldn't fall back asleep for at least an hour after. I couldn't stop thinking of what that sound was and finally drew the conclusion it was a spoon hitting the back of a plastic dish I cleaned on the drying rack.
The next morning, to my amazement, I was partially correct. Instead of a spoon being next to the bowl, it was a large carving knife. Thus, the knife was hit against the back of the bowl, not a spoon.
June 19th, at 3:34 am, I wake up to hear footstep thumps walking toward the bed. It freaked me out but nothing was there. The footsteps stopped right at the edge of my side. I got up to use the bathroom minutes later and the pantry closet light was on. I was the last to bed and made sure all lights were off.
I live in a forested area with two neighbors. One is my landlord and the other her brother, who is about 300 yards away. Apparently their dead father used to work downstairs in the garage below my apartment. He lived in my apartment before it was renovated.
I am conducting research to see where and why he passed away. I am now under the assumption he might have passed away in my apartment or his garage below.
I will continue documenting my experiences. It is now June 20th at 12:31 am, and I am going to bed.
