I had never felt anything paranormal in my home until recently. My brother and I had a similar experience about a week apart. It all started one evening in my bedroom.
I was sitting on my bed watching a movie, and fooling around with some scrapbooking materials. All of a sudden I heard a very loud, very discernable cough from behind me. There was no one downstairs (the wall where it seemed to come from backs up to the downstairs area), and everyone else was in bed. I was a little freaked, but I let it go.
Later that night, I was lying in bed, and just about to fall asleep, when I heard a loud noise. Right after the noise, I felt my bed start to shake. The shaking lasted about 10 seconds, and then stopped. I sat up in bed and looked around the room, and I swear that I saw a black mass in the corner above my bed. Now there are usually shadows in the corners in my room, but this one was different. It seemed thicker than a normal shadow, and it wasn't see-through.
A week later, my brother, who is 17, came to me and told me he woke up and felt his bed shaking the previous evening. I told him what had happened to me, and we were dumbfounded. I tried to make contact with whatever it was in my room with my tape recorder, and when I played it back I got all kinds of noises. Whether they are supernatural or not, I cannot tell, but it intrigues me to know if there is something in my home or not.
