Who Was In The Picture?

My friend and I did not have a digital camera, so I bought a disposable one to take pictures on. My friend and I took many pictures, but never one together. "Dad, will you take our picture please?" I asked my father and he said yes. He took about two or three pictures of us.

A couple days later we got the photos back. We laughed at all of the silly ones that we took and we loved them all until we reached the last one. It was the first one that my dad took of us together. There was a white mist covering about half of the picture or so. It was all spread out like smoke. "Dad, were you smoking or did you just get done smoking before you took this picture?" I asked him. "No I hadn't had a smoke in a couple of hours!" He told me. This shocked us. We tried to figure it out for days. The next time she came over was a couple weeks later. She wanted to see the picture again, so I showed her. Her mouth dropped open. "Whats wrong?" I asked her. "This was the wrong photo!" she told me. "No, that was the one with the mist in it..." I trailed off.

The mist was gone. But, how could it have gone like that? I remember the mist in the picture. My friend saw it. My dad saw it. I saw it. Who was in the picture? Granny? Grandpa? Another spirit? Whoever it was must have been camera shy!

I do agree it is very weird and I know people who have had pictures like that. I can't possibly think of any reason why it could be fake - because it was taken with a disposable camera.

I have a question, did the camera have flash on it? I know it doesn't make any difference but...?

I will hopefully be posting at least 4, 5, or 6 stories very soon.

I can't wait for you all to read them.

P.S one of the stories is about an experience just like yours!

wow... I don't know how to explain that anymore than I could explain the bedroom door in my house... LOL member that? Uhm, that's really weird, and I know if it were something like a smudge or anything like that, you would have been able to tell... Very confusing to me ❤

I have a picture of my grandparents just like that in my house but the ghostly figures never left. On the lower left its a white misty figure it looks sort of like a dog, and on the lower middle its a black shadowy figure of a child, but I hardly pay it any mind because the picture is really old and the two figures, which are most likely spirits might be disturbed if I mess around with it. My mom told me to leave it be so I left it alone because she said that its rare to catch spirits on camera or tape and you should respect the spirits because you have something such as these types of things as proof spirits exist, so I let it be. My mom also said exploiding the picture sometimes makes the figures on the picture vanish. I thought it was a load of bologna, but from what your story says may means my mom is right in a way.

I do think it was something supernatural. I have had an experience like that myself. I had gone to this great beach and it was broad daylight. I was clicking pictures of the sea with my cellphone and the 3rd or something picture I had taken had some kind of pale grey mist in it. I looked closer and got goosepimples and started sweating profusely. For what I saw then was something that I remembered for a week. As I looked closer there was this face which was smiling. I mean laughing showing some grey teeth. I screamed and dropped my cellphone. My mother hurriedly came over and gave me some water and asked me what happened. I showed her the picture and she looked at me confusedly. There was nothing but bright blue sea there! I cannot forget that face, though it has somewhat faded now. Maybe the spirit didn't want itself to be seen? 😕 😲

I find it so strange how things like this can happen! I haven't had anything like that happen, but it seems that a lot of my ghost photos seem to wander off sooner or later! 😉

Well this is a first for me too with an image disappearing from a photo. Unless it was somekind of chemical reaction within the photo and I don't know enough about photography to say, its really an odd thing to have happen. I don't know what to make of it but I'm sure there is someone out there who may know why. If it happened to you it has probably happened to someone else too.

This is crazy... A picture is a picture... Frozen image... Cannot move... Nothing can be taken from it or put into it without digital means. I am not sure that I believe this. I am a believer in the supernatural by the way. ❤Jazz

That is very odd. I have never heard of something being in a picture and then disappearing from it later. That doesn't sound like a paranormal event to me. Maybe there is a physical explaination.

Nice story! That's so weird! It was probably a spirit (which was camera shy hahaha)! I have a photo from Niagara with a huge white orb in the corner! Creepy... ❤

hahaha! That spirit's really shy! Haha... 😆

Maybe the spirit is someone you know but you have forgotten and is trying to let you guess who he/she is... 😐

Anyways, nice story and take care 😁

I can't tell you how weird that is, but my aunt has had an experience just like this. She had a disposable camera, and she was visiting a fort down here in florida at night on a ghost tour, and she took a bunch of pictures. When she got back, and developed the pictures, she noticed there was a figure of an old soldier kind of floating by my cousin in a picture she'd taken, she freaked out and showed everyone who had gone that night with her... She placed the picture in a drawer and went to find it again and it was gone... Just gone. She never found it. Maybe spirits don't want there to be proof?
