I'm a little confused...here's my quandry. I've met a few on this site that have enlightened me with regards to Wicca and I do not have any problem with you following your heart or your beliefs.
You are empathetic...doesn't the depression you are experiencing affect your family? I understand your sense of humor, I have a small tribe of children and keeping things light as a parent is a must. But if you as an adult, can be overwhelmed by this entity, why would you allow it to stay in your home?
Your statements, "He's more than slightly negative. He's bitter about something. But that's to come out in its own time." Did you mean you would let US know in time, or did you mean that you are currently coexisting with this entity and are not investigating the circumstances regarding his negativity?
If it is the second...why? Why would you allow a negative entity near your kids and not address getting rid of it or establishing limits?
Your page states that you are a "self-described media-whore"...so, by your admission, you will do anything for attention from the media... That sort of ruins your credibility as an investigator and a parent, in my opinion.

This is why I like this site, we, posters, like to think outside of the box. I agree with robertar that this spirit is up to no good if it tells your child to lie to you. I would have taken care of that first. You said that you created a paranormal research team. Did you get an results on the research on your home. I'm interested in the outcome what you are experiencing? Have you tried telling the negative spirit to leave you a lone.

I don't practice Wiccan, so I wouldn't know but is there a way to bless your home in your faith?

Bad news if some thing is usurping your child's trust. Telling him to lie to you. I would have attacked that ASAP, some thing trying to get between me and my baby.

I don't understand why people seem content to let unknown spirts near their children, when they certainly wouldn't let unknown people with them.
