One more question:

Do you know the history of the land where the house stands?

Perhaps the activity, or part of it, is caused by some violent event that happened before the house was built.

Hello almaburwell: this is a fascinating and very well written story.

Did you ever investigate the history of the place?
Did any of the adult neighbors tell you what happened there?
Did your children and/or husband notice anything about the boy suggesting the time in which he lived?

I'm inclined to think that there was more than one spirit given the fact that some of the events were rather violent and out of character for a little boy's.

I'm sorry but...

The blood was running out of the door into the floor. I checked the cabinet, there was nothing in there losing blood. I cleaned the mess and returned to make dinner..."

Really?!

Perhaps my imagination is running wild and I'm imagining a scene gorier than it really was but, seriously, did you just clean the blood and went back to prepare supper?
I would have run out of there to never come back!

Were you able to confirm if it was blood?
Was it the only time that happened?
Were you able to find out if the boy died in a violent way?

Like Melda, I would like to know if you did something to try to stop the activity and/or try to help the little boy to go to a better place.

Did you ever consider having the house blessed and/or cleansed, or even calling in a psychic to assist you?
