Hi Lady-glow,
All the nice words I am reading make me feel like I am getting Hugs from all of you. Then I think how much I needed this as encouragement and am very grateful.
It does feel good to sit and talk to others near and far. It has been years and we are still here as we share something in common.

I really missed all of you, including you Lady-glow. Hugs going back to you.

Jan, I'm so happy to see that you're back home now, and doing well with your recovery ❤ you had a lot of us here on edge, having to patiently await to hear any news on your update. I know you still have a ways to go in your recovery, but as always, you have all of our prayers going out for you to be back on your feet again 😊 it's so nice to see you on here again, as I've really missed talking to you on this site. Thank you for letting us know how you're doing, and a big thanks to your amazing son for keeping us updated on you!

Hi, Jan. Welcome back. And don't worry if sitting at the computer is hard for you.

If I was not currently caring for my mom, who recently fell and broke her arm though that is now mostly over, I'd probably be in your kitchen cooking and baking for you. Though I understand you have help around your house now.

So please just relax and recover.

And what a good licence plate to see.

Have a speedy recovery... Don't worry if we have to suffer a little waiting to read your next submission.

Sending your way a big, humongous hug.

Hi Jan - Stopped by YGS to see what's been going on and was so happy to read that you are home and active again on the site! Like everyone else here I can hardly wait to hear your story from your hospital stay.

The positive vibes I sent before your procedure continue unabated. Welcome back.

Hi Dee,

I can feel the warmth, thank you.
It was fun today, my husband had to stop for a few grocery things. He pulled up and parked, with a nice Volvo in the front of us, wearing the plate spelling HUGS. I sat looking at that plate while I waited. HUGS, HUGS, I sat and smiled, wishing to see the Volvo owner, so I could thank her. Then I started to imagine what would happen if she was stopped for speeding, bet they would let her go. Can you imagine if her husband needs the car?

Life is good!

Hello Msforgetmenot,

I haven't conversed with you previously. When I read what you were going through, I couldn't help but leave a comment and wish you well.

You must look after yourself like Courious Dee says. Take it easy until the time is right to do the things you want to do. Plenty of time after your better.

It's really great to see you back online. Welcome home to YGS. 😘 ❤ 😘

Bless you all, I am astounded! What a wonderful Welcome home gift. I never expected this. You have played a great part in helping me to be home days sooner then they said. Kind thoughts and prayers, thank you ever so much.

I promise you all a good story from this hospital stay, but sitting is hard so you have to wait a few days. There is much pain, so be patient.

Brian thank you as well, great story, Grampa was with me too! I wish I had seen all the people that you saw. Lucky!

Thank you all very much.

Jan

Hi Biblio,

I have gone to college but much of my training was hands on. I am in the Construction Union, meaning I am hired by various companies for special bids, within this Union. We built a complex school. Built into a hill in a five structure plan. Doing the same this year for a different city. Previously it was big box stores.

Hi, Brian.

It's good to know that: 1) your mother is coming home soon; 2) we resolved the unclear communication; 3) you are as happy about the new clarity of conversation as I am; and 4) you are a construction engineer. I believe I am correct in stating that anyone who can claim to be "just a Construction Engineer" is --to some degree-- responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of our society. Buildings, roads, plumbing, and electrical grids that don't fail are rather important to the rest of us. Yours may seem like thankless job, sometimes, as it's a bit like the CIA; no-one notices you when you get it right, but *everyone* has got an opinion when there's a problem.

While you're correct that I do not know Jan as well as other posters on YGS do, I have great respect for her comments, her stories, and her abilities. After the misunderstanding I alluded to in an earlier message, I tried not to post in conversations in which she was taking an active role for fear of my upsetting her again. (Avoiding emotion-based conflict is my personal issue with my very emotional and over-controlling mother; I did not want to open up new arguments, nor did I want either of us to stop participating in the conversations.) The image I had of her was her sitting up in bed, talking with people on either side of her, one deceased and one living, and drawing comfort/strength/support from both of them in equal measure. Personally, I rather hope her father has made his presence known to her through her surgery & recovery. I hope he sticks around to watch over her through the chemo, too. My cousin in London's going through it at the moment; it's a dreadful process, but it is one that offers the hope of healthy life afterward.

If you don't mind doing me a favor, give Jan a long-overdue hug from me.

Thanks, Brian, and keep us updated!

Best,
Biblio.

I can't believe I missed this! And such a beautiful encounter.

Thanks, Brian, for the recent update on your mother's hospital stay. I hope her bloods are satisfactory to the doctors and that her body temperature remains stable. That was the reason for my mother's extended hospital stay.

A lovely experience receiving validation that your deceased loved ones are with you during this time - draw strength from their presence and love.

Thanks for sharing and keeping us updated on your mother. Much appreciated.

Stay well and positive.

Regards
Apo

Hello Brian,

That's the best news that your mum will be released on Monday/Tuesday.

She will feel weak, and tired and will need you more than ever but I don't need to tell you that, you already know.

You're doing great. She's very lucky to have a wonderful caring son like you.

😘 ❤ 😘

Well Biblio,

That was settled nicely! I have just gotten off the phone with my Mom, she will be released on Monday or Tuesday if her bloodwork reads to their satisfaction.
One thing has come to mind concerning her happiness. She is facing several more rounds of chemotherapy when healed. As she has side affects that are long lasting, I know she is not looking forward to it. Could this have shown in your mind's vision?
I am just a Construction Engineer, you are far beyond my thinking, yet this was interesting, was it not?

Take care,
Brian

Ah-ha! Now I see, Brian.

Thank you for the clarification. Often the mental images/impressions I receive about the present are metaphorical in nature; I did *not* make that clear in my first message. That image would seem really weird, I grant you. By "happier" I wasn't suggesting that your mother is unhappy; perhaps "relaxed," "calmer," "comforted," "contented," or "un-stressed" about her dealing with the paranormal would have been a more-accurate word choice.

Ladydarke, an often-quiet member of YGS, once described to me her understanding of psychic abilities and their relative strengths; the pattern seems to be that people with strong awareness or gifts have endured a major traumatic event at an age when coping with the pain/sorrow/shock was not possible. When I see the future or the past, I'm *aware* of the immersive experience. When I see the present, it may be immersive, but it is more likely to be a metaphorical representation as my brain reels in the information faster than I can process it. For example, I was not going to check YGS this morning, but as I was putting the marmalade back into the refrigerator, I had a tan-colored screen shot in my mind. YGS is the only site I visit that has a restful combination of tan, coffee, and dark brown screens. By the time I'd put away some laundry, gotten my laptop, logged on, and gone to YGS, your message had been published "11 minutes ago," approximately the same amount of time it'd taken for me to get to YGS. I did NOT know that you'd written a reply, merely that there was *something* for me to read. It was a more 'metaphorical' message, as was the image of Jan. I'll have to write up my mental processes to submit to YGS, as there is a spiritual component to the internal chaos I'm trying to describe.

Yes, looking over what I've written does seem very "flakey" to me, but that's a limitation of language's capacity to express ephemeral thoughts. [Sapir-Whorf hypothesis be damned!]

I hope that was more clear than the earlier message I posted.

Thanks, again, Brian.

Best,
Biblio.

Biblio,

I am not upset with you, trust me, I do not get upset easily. I just felt you do not know my Mom very well. Picturing her, turning to the left and talking to the living then turning to the right and talking to the dead, is not something I have ever observed. That would be very strange!
She, by nature is a very happy person, our home was filled with happiness and laughter, when I was growing up. My Dad is also a person that laughs easily, with a great sense of humor. They are a perfect match.
So I did wonder how you felt that she might be happier now, it is not her nature to be anything else.
The paranormal has always interested her and she is capable, in hearing and seeing things I can't. My Grandfather was talented this way also. I listened as they talked, when I was a kid. She has very seldom spoken about it with me. The experiences that she has written about on this sight, were for the most part not ever told to me, not in such detail anyway. She has always written in her notebook, of various experiences, even when we were on vacation. I believe her notes are the key to what she has written on this web site.
I am glad she found this group that she shares much in common with. The kindness on these pages has impressed me, a wonderful group of people.

Gracious, Brian!

I apologize if you thought I was mocking your mother who has just undergone a high-risk surgical procedure. You wrote: "Please do not make like my Mother is weird, she is not. She is remarkable."

I'm not sure what I wrote that suggested your mother is weird. I've re-read my description of what I saw, followed by the paragraph to explain my personal context in order to put your mind at ease. Somewhere in these paragraphs is something that upset you, but I honestly don't see it.

I once inadvertently upset Jan when I got annoyed with Tweed over a complete misunderstanding of her quoting a cartoon. Through the subsequent discussion, I learned that typed communication is difficult between people who respond to situations emotionally and people who respond analytically.

I'll just stop now, as I don't want to make matters worse.

Biblio,

My Mother is very gifted, our family is use to it. Please remember that I wrote how my Mother's heart stopped three different times during surgery. So it was quite likely she may have had conversations with those from the other side. She has not talked about any of this.
Val is here and when my Mom gets home, Val will tend to her every need. My Mom is very much a happy person, always thinking of others. Our town is compiled with her many friends. Dishes of food and wonderful desserts, too many to eat. She makes her friends easily and keeps them for life.
Please do not make like my Mother is weird, she is not. She is remarkable.

Brian: Being one of the Mods of this site, I feel it necessary to inform you of one of the most important (albeit unwritten) rules of our site when submitting an account such as this and that is to issue a "tissue warning" as a preface ❤.

Such a heartwarming experience. Luckily, my tissues are close by haha. Please let your Mom know that we continue to hold her in our hearts.

Thank you for posting.

Hello Brian,
This is a heart warming, so beautiful story.

It is so nice to know and feel that our ancestors are still with us especially through tough times. It's just sad that I didn't experience the love of my grandpa, he died before I was born (both mom and dad's side).
We pray for the fast recovery of your Mom. God always hear and always beside us.

Hello, Brian.

Since I heard of your mother's condition, I have felt that she is (metaphysically speaking) going to be closer to "the other side" for a while. I have no idea if it will be permanent, a brief phase, or random moments, but these experiences are *not* going to change your mother fundamentally. What they will do, however, is nudge her life into a slightly different direction (a happier one? More positive? This is unclear). This is aside from the recuperation efforts, etc., that are part of surgery & recovery. I can see her-- in my mind's eye-- having conversations with extended family both the living and the dead alternately just as she would normally chat with the living.

I know that people can make up any B.S. They feel like and pass it off as vague "predictions" that are obvious to everyone (e.g.: "You'll meet a stranger!" --No kidding; there are 7 billion of them on this planet). I'm not giving you any sort of prophetic statement about her health or well-being, merely repeating the image I saw back when Tweed e-mailed me about Jan's health. She' s going to draw strength/reassurance from spending time straddling the two "realms" or whatever they are, but I don't have a time-frame about this because I don't really have a sense of "time" per se.

I'm glad she's recuperating.

Best,
Biblio.

Hi Brian,

Congratulations on your mom's successful surgery! Glad and relieved to hear she will be home early next week. Your story brought tears to my eyes, as I went through a similar experience this May when my dad had a major heart surgery. I could feel your emotions as you sat in that garden. God bless you and your little family!

Hi Folks,

I have a few minutes, this early A M. To drop you all a line. If Jan (my Mom) continues to improve she will be coming home as early as next week.
She wanted to have her lap top but was advised against it because of theft. Here phone was on her tray and then it wasn't, so she will have to be home before she can write.
She is as weak as a kitten, and has lost more weight than she could afford. But her smile is not stop.
The garden has had many visits by us, but was completely normal each time I have been there. I seldom to never have anything paranormal happen to me. So the visit from so many passed relatives absolutely thrilled me. I had no time to take in detail, unfortunately. I will never forget it.
Thank you for the kindness, the well wishes and so much more. I am off to work.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful experience with us here, as I'm sure like me, the others here love hearing how your mother is doing. It broke my heart to see how sure she was that she wasn't going to make it through this surgery, and I hoped that she just misunderstood the visits she had from past loved ones, as I hoped it was because they were showing her their support. Hearing your experience, really helps confirm what I hoped. It sounds like it was a very heart warming, emotional experience you had, in a time of need. I'm glad you were able to have some peace given to you, in such a hard time, and I hope that your mother continues to keep doing better, as we all miss seeing her on here. Many prayers still going out to you and your family right now ❤
