Wow FRAWIN, Huh.
I was looking up the harbingers of death (for another reason, but I think that would have applied here also) as I vaguely remember hearing a story of marching ancestors who came to take their "own" home (and possibly people who just happen to see them innocently). I think that was in the Islands, though, not sure.
Sounds as if your inner voice had a pretty good handle on the situation, and your Mama was the pot holder you needed to get a grip. 😊 Bad analogy, I know, but I would hate to think about the last questions you posed here, as I think it possible had you stayed on the porch, you would not be here to write the tale.
I am shaking my head here. What a wealth of knowledge and occurrences you, your Mama and your homeland must be. Wow.

Welcome back with one more of your amazing stories Frawin. It's always a challenge for me when I click onto them so I have finally decided to do my reading at daytime when it comes to you 😊,it's less scary that way. According to my religion, monks are closely associated with the underworld. They're believed to appear when claiming a life and, even more,it's believed that Evil may, at times, appear as a monk but he'll be accompanied by his "troops" in such case(maybe that explains why you saw 5 of them). Your mother's interference has probably saved you as it is equally believed that whatever appears in the form of a monk, comes to claim a soul before its time.

Hi Frawin! That is what I call a Great story. While I was reading it I just couldn't get my eyes of it. That had to be the most scariest feeling you ever felt. I would be dead if I felt something like that! I wish I had the answers to you questions. But I dont. I to wonder why there were monks there. Maybe there is or was a church with munks there. There is a group of priests from the cathlic religon who are named after saint Francis. I don't know how to call them in english. They wear brown robes with a white rope around there waists. I m not sure this might help but knowing more about them might help you. Anyways thanks for sharring my friend and hope to hear from you soon and take care.
