Hello, this sounds strange, but could it have been the moon?

Manafon - Yes I do attract the odd wandering spirit and I actually don't mind that at all. You say it's a compliment? Thanks for that! I've never seen it in that sense but throughout my life since childhood "things" have come and gone. I'm sure you can relate to that.
I wasn't frightened by anything that happened on that morning, even the bin falling out behind me. It was all just so unexpected and strange.
Regards, Melda

Melda--I forgot to mention your cupboard door flying open and your garbage can (or rubbish bin) falling out. Maybe, after the visiting spirits (or whatever) were frustrated in not being able to fully manifest, they turned to something else to leave you in no doubt they were there!
Seems that you just attract the odd wandering spirit now and again. It might be a bit creepy but it IS a compliment 😉

Manafon - Thanks for your response.
The courtyard is approximately 8 square metres, I'm not sure because I haven't actually measured it. Then behind that we have a laundry and storage room.
Yes, truly fascinating. I have to accept that this event was paranormal but I don't understand the intent. I can't think of anything which could have been intended for me personally. In fact I believe I simply walked into something which had no bearing on me at all, I simply arrived when I wasn't expected!
As far as my bin in the cupboard is concerned, oh yes, a ghostie did that!

Hi Melda--You did indeed have a mystifying experience! The only thing that comes to my mind regarding the strange light has to do with apparitions. As you know, its often reported that apparitions emit light that can vary in intensity. I wonder if somehow you had a spirit (or two or three) outside your kitchen that were transmitting light but, for whatever reason, didn't materialize.
Many a psychical researcher has noted that apparitions are always "imperfect" in their appearance. Maybe only their torso appears, or they want to speak but can't, or have no color whatsoever. Who knows, maybe you had a few ghosts who got ahead of themselves and emitted light but forgot to appear. Fascinating stuff Melda.
