This is a good story but I'm having some trouble with the maggots, the extreme amount of them, and then the same thing happening to someone in the same area. Wouldn't this have been all the talk in the news, or at the very least the Enquirer? And you actually have clergy that performs exorcisms in this 'small farming community'? From what I understand an exorcism is a pretty tall order and only very rarely and in extreme cases brought up before the big wigs for permission, and then specially trained priests are brought in to perform the actual ceremony. Maybe demons are such a problem that anybody with a collar can go ahead and perform an exorcism these days. I enjoyed reading it though.

Wow that was a great story. I don't know why but it smoe how wanted to attack Cathlics. I'm a cathlic and I understand why you didn't take the holy statues of your walls. I'm a little surprised why it attacked the both of you. Maybe it was connected with your roomate who knows? Did you try finding out who this was? I don't know why but a demon could fit this picture. You did not say whether you still have your room mate. In as much as this started at the same time as her arrival, I would be asking her to leave. Better that she have hurt feelings than you have a ruined and destructive life.

Seriously my very dear Jennifer, you've scared the life out of me! That must have been a very frightening experience and I really admire your courage when dealing with it.

I strongly believe that the blessing the priest performed that day, has kept whatever was in your house away or, at least, outside your door.

I don't know if you're still living there but maybe you need to bless the outdoor surroundings of your house as well, just to be on the safe side.

It's interesting that this ghost (or whatever) was targeting catholics for its weird physical manifestation. Maybe it wasn't an attack as much as pleading for help to people with the same shared beliefs?
