That's an interesting story. Very scary. Have you ever read that book, "Haunted Illinois" by Troy Taylor? It gives a lot of information about that cemetery, which is said to be the most haunted spot in the Chicago metro area.

I don't think it was a curse because stuff like that could happen without a good reson.

dude this totally freaked me out. I had an experience related with graveyards as well and what followed was quite similar to yours (the badluck that followed after). Creepy!

omigosh I so want to hear the recording even more than to see the picture! That is so creepy. Its like a story they tell to freak people out but your one is true! So creepy. The story was used to scare people like a joke. You can use it if you want. The story goes like this: There was a girl who likes supernatural stuff. She heard the story about how this school hall was haunted. So she went there at midnight (typically) with a video camera. She went up to the hall and knocked on the door. No answer. So she went in. Inside there was a piano, a piano seat and a glass of water on the piano. She went up to the seat and asked may I sit here? No answer. She sat and asked may I drink this water? No answer. She drank the water and asked may I play the piano? No answer. She played. Then she asked may I leave? No answer. She got up, grabbed the camera and left. The next morning she showed the video to her class. It showed her knocking the door. A strange voice said yes you may. She went in and asked if she could sit dit down. The voice said yes you may. She asked if she could drink the water. The voice said yes you may. She asked if she could play the piano. The voice said yes you may. She asked if she could leave the voice said "DON'T GO!"-
Notice the capital I used in the last 2 words. Say it loud but the rest of story quietly so the listener is struggling to hear the story so they would concentrate and get a fright. Please do not try on the weak hearted:)

I was there last night right at 3am with 4 of my buddies we were in there for about an hour we saw, felt or heard anything... I have been there more than just last night and nothing has ever happened...

I was there about a year ago and had nothing happen... You can imagine I was a bit disappointed. I only took a few pictures since we didn't really want to stay until dark (I'm a wuss, I know) but I got one picture that looked like there was mist on a tree, and a small yellow orb in the grass. However, it was a little blurry anyway so it could have been the way the light was at the time. I wanted to go back later but since reading this story and others like it I think I'll just keep my distance and leave it to braver souls. 😊

I basically have no experience with the paranormal and nothing like this has ever happened to me, but I really think you should let go of those pictures and recordings. It seems like they might... I don't know, maybe have something attached to them from when you visited Bachelors Grove? Maybe whatever was there knows you still have them? I'm not really sure, but that is always an option. That's what I would do, anyway.

Pardon the interruption, Aiden, please. Revsilversun, I do not know if this will be read by you as I see you have only one post here, but I was just wondering if you had the opportunity to revisit Bachelors Grove, and if you had, if you were able to free the negative energy. If it is causing people to have such bad luck, I can not imagine that someone with the correct knowledge would not try to help free these entities that you described. Just curious.

i have been a psychic for 35 years. I can tell by what happened after your experience in the cemetery that you did in fact pick up some of the negative energy that exists and feeds there. It is unfortunate that people don't protect themselves from entity attachments by drinking bay leaf tee and putting frankincense and myrrh on their hands and calling upon spirits of Light to join them before they go anyplace that has had such a terrible history as this place. The really sad thing is that the spirits here are being tortured by the negative energy there which feeds off the energy of the living visitors to this place. These living visitors bring fear with them which this strong negativity feeds on. I recently moved here from florida and one of the first things I felt was the dark energy of that cemetery. This entity that reigns there has told me "we don't want you here" and I told it "you will never defeat the loving Light and I am bringing it to destroy you and the hold you have over the innocent spirits that need peace once more..." needless to say it is a little angrier now- but not as angry as I am. Everyone please, learn how to protect yourself before you go into any place that has a reputation for being haunted-especially one with this gruesome past. perhaps if you destroyed the pictures and the recordings, the 'curse'would lift? Just a suggestion. I know that may be hard to do as you are interested in the paranormal, but it may well be worth it. You may be carrying part of whatever was at that cemetery around with you.

I've been doing a lot of reading on Bachelor's Grove and your story seems to fit right in with the rest. Although I don't think anyone else had the bad luck afterwards like you did. This place seems to have a very high rate of expriences for those who are brave enough to go in there.

Wow! You've had a lot of feedback on this story! Everybody wants your pics! Well, I guess your girlfriend gave you the perfect gift, even though it was way more than you bargained for. I'm sorry to hear about all of the bad luck you've had. That must be terrible. I certainly hope things are back on track for you now. I realize that this must have been really freaky for both of you but maybe if you went back and apologized for intruding you might be forgiven? I'm not sure I'd have the guts to do it but maybe that's the only thing to do. I've never heard of Bachelor's Grove but a lot of people here have so it must have quite a reputation. The mere fact that you havn't provided a link to all those pics you say you took suggests that this is a fake story.

Wow that is an amazing story... I have also gone to bachelors grove at least 4-5 times but with a lot of people I mean like 10 people maybe more... Obviously we didn't see anything or nothing happened... Idk if ill go there again with less people after this story though... That is so freaky! I am like the only one in my class that does believe in ghosts, I found a picture with a face on it but no one believed me. Most of them still think I am crazy!

hi, I went there on 4/7/07 me and my fiance and my best friend went there . Upon arrival there were three guest ahead of us going into the cemetary . On the way up the road we noticed tree stumps in the middle of the road and we thought they were there to prevent people from bike riding. It was about maybe 5 trees in the middle of the road so while we were walking I did feel as if someone was watching us to our right of us we heard a noise in the bushes like someone was walking through it. But we saw no one so when we got up to the cemetary we walked around my friend went down to the pond and she said that she felt like something was pushing on her chest so I refused to go down there. So when we were leaving the tree branches that was in the middle of the road were gone . I took pictures of the grave cite but didn't see anything out the norm

Ive been there as well, and had that weird feeling as described. I captured 1 photo in which a face appears. I will not return to Bachelor Grove, night or day. I do believe something is in there.

Dear Aiden, What a great ghost and haunted cemetery story to have shared with all of us here. Not so great things in your life and your girlfriend's life though following the visit. Sorry to hear of it, and "know" better days are ahead. Wishing you and yours the best life has to offer. sorry to hear about your bad luck...i've only captured one signifigant pic of a handprint on my dusty tv screen. other than that, pics I take or evps I get, disappear. the cemetery around where I live isn't reputed to be haunted, but one time I snuck out with my friends and we stopped by there. usually my friends respect my 'sensitivity' but these were my disbelieving friends and they told me to go in even though I didn't want to. I don't remember anything after that but they said that the second I set foot over the wall and into the cemetery, I started to scream bloody murder and then just fell to the ground and didn't move. I learned that day to not do anything my instincts told me not to do... good story by the way, and I undertand your vow to never return.

hey, we've been there many times, and we experienced some crazy !*%$#... we were chased out of there by some big black figure, in every picture there are eyes watching us as we walked through the cemetery and the woods, we have orbs with faces in them, red fog and a white mist... smoke from a ciggerette that had a face going straight through it...we have numerous pics where are friend was standing in front of our group of people and this white brand new hat was in the corner of every pic looking from side to side at people walking next to him and no one was wearing a hat. we heard screams and children crying animals whining like there being killed and pics of poltergeists.

Hey I really would love you to send me those pictures because I am studying ghosts and I've been trying to get my own ghost pictures, but I've never been able to get anything on camera like I wanted. My mom thinks I'm insane because I keep asking her to take me to a cemetary around here and she thinks that my going on ghost sites too much is causing me to go nuts and wanna catch a few ghosts myself. I went to a cemetery to take pictures and I asked permission to take pictures before I began. I was very careful not to step on the graves and if I did step on one by accident, I apologized.

When the film was developed I caught a picture of an apparition full outline. I did not experience any physical trauma or bad luck.

When someone goes into a cementary, or other resting place, you have to have absolute respect. Ask for permission to be there and if you are refused, LEAVE. There is nothing worst than annoying some spirits.
