Oh I hope you didn't think I meant that in a bad way. I love your long stories. I just never thought I would enjoy a longer story. I figured it would disappoint me and be a total waste of time, but your stories are very enjoyable. I always love reading your stories. Especially your long ones. There's nothing wrong with a good descriptive story. Please keep sharing and God bless!

Rebel 😳 😆, I'm sorry my stories are long. I tend to be very descriptive but I do that because I want to make sure my readers can see the whole picture.

I now know she had some time to play with those toys altough I'm positive it wasn't enough. Her health was deteriorating fast so I'm sure the last days of her life must have been with her drifting in and out of sleep due to the medication. I'm sure she was longing to play in the open air and what still remains a painful memory is that little hand pushing aside the curtain to see my window. She knew I was there but I don't know if she knew I wasn't allowed to visit!

Well, I hope she rests in peace now ❤

Rhodes--Now I understand more why you are so insightful and such a compassionate moderator. This could and should be written up as a children's book story. Seems it could help many children deal with sickness and dying within this wonderful framework of open generosity and the adult world. You tell a great tale.

haha...yeah I can understand. I wouldn't expect that of you. I'm only a MILD critic 😜 haha. There are just only so many explanations. I haven't been able to explain the plates that were turned around in my den above the tv (keeping in mind these plates aren't reachable without a ladder), but it hasn't happened again, so there MUST be some logical explanation... For right now at least. If it happened again, I think even my dad would start to believe there is something weird goin on. I believe Christa had something to do with your experience. I always enjoy your stories, and that's saying a lot because I try to avoid the long ones lol. Thanks again for sharing!

With the wonderful reputation that you have on this site, you are not expected to say anything because there is no doubt when it comes to your stories.

Now that is out of the way, it is hard when we are young and don't fully understand why certain people can't do certain things. I'm sure when Chrisa came home and saw all of the wonderful toys that you left for her, she was thrilled. You should be delighted to know that you probably put a smile on a sick childs face.

I don't think there could be any logical explanation for what happened, at least when it fell the last time but it's one of those things you're expected to say just for the benefit of the doubt.

That was a very touching story. How you could say the evidence is too weak, I have no clue. Having fallen 2 or 3 times would have been coincidence enough for myself. But it fell the fourth time a meter and a half away as you say. AND it "jumped" over a wooden cube. I can't see that as mere coincidence. Thank you for another wonderful story. That is truly amazing and very special.

I know that her family loved her-there was a grandma and mom that stayed with her all day long but I have to guess that their reason for keeping her away from other children was because they somehow felt they were protecting her?! I know kids can be really cruel sometimes. Then again I have to wonder whether she's been sick all her life cause that might mean she never got to play with anyone and GOD, I don't want to think of something as cruel as that!

On the other hand, her drawing and the message under it shows she was social or at least, trying to be so I'd like to believe there was a time in her short life when she had the chance to make friends.

Well I have to say that is one touching story... Its to bad she was so ill because it seems she didn't have many friends and needed some sort of support line that could of helped her through the tough days... Who knows what happened in that house but wow it was crazy reading and letting your mind wander to all the different scenarios that could have gone... Thank you for sharing such a touching story... Its the kind that make you feel at home in a way and comfortable with the things around you... Great story, of coarse I don't know what stories of yours arent great haha.

Oh Wow, this is such a sad touching story. I truly enjoyed reading it. I remember I always used to read my fairy tales with the tape recorder also in the 80's. However how sad that the poor little girl was battling cancer. I'm glad you got to keep her drawing and put it on your wall.

Yet another GREAT story rhodes! Very interesting and intriguing. I really don't have any questions about it. Seems pretty clean cut:) Keep them coming and God Bless 😊

Chrisa had been going in and out the hospital for a long time. Yes, she came back to find the toys and had them with her for a few weeks before she died. I got my toys back in spring when the family moved out meaning almost a month and a half maybe two after her death.

Hi Kisho, thanks for commenting. She had already died a couple of months prior to the incident with the monkey. I don't know, I never thought of your interpretation. I just thought she wanted me to see her drawing I guess. But who knows?

I feel really sad when I hear stories about small children dying at a very young age! I wanted to ask you something, though. You said when you kept the toys on Chrisa's bed, she was not at home, she was in the hospital, right? So, did she come home after she was discharged from the hospital or did she die (😢) in the hospital itself? I am asking you this because if she didn't come home, how did she keep the drawing in the pencil case? This part confused me a little! Thanks!

Hmm, was she gone at the time of the monkey falling into bed with you? The first impression I had after reading the story was that she was there, sortof "in" the monkey with the picture she drew you, and was essentially wanting to sleep beside you.

Maybe I will some day carrycat, who knows?

Thank you Chris! I don't know if she actually ever played with anyone. She was mostly the girl who nobody ever talked about as if she was carrying some kind of curse on her. I was also frightened when her name was mentioned by a neighbor because every time someone understood that a child was listening they would attempt to cut the conversation short. Up until then, I thought that only old people died so when she passed on, I was very confused. I kept asking why but none of the brief answers I was getting sounded convincing enough. You see my family didn't want to go into any disturbing details in an attempt to protect my "innocence".

I was mostly upset that I wasn't allowed to go near her- something I still regret up until today.

This was a very Toching story Tammy. It is so sad why children leave this world so early. It sometimes make me think that we are very lucky that our families haven't gone through this. I don't think there is anything worse for a parent to buury there child. Its supposed to be the other way around. I believe that Chrisa felt the love and carring you wanted to show her. But sadly you couldnt. But after her death she wanted to let you know that she is your friend. I believe she wanted to let you know that friends are forever. Chris in her heart felt your kindness and wanted to let you know that you are someone special. That is why she drew you. It is such a good feeling to have a friend. It is a bond that allows us to understand the meaning of love. And Chris couldn't have chosen a better person to share that love with. I hope to hear from you soon my dear Tammy and take care

I would like to believe it was her spirit throwing the toy on me simply because I need to believe that her short life on earth meant something-it had a meaning and some sort of continuation.

I hope she is somewhere out there playing and smiling.

Good story-sad about what happened to Chrisa, I think being forced to stay in doors with limited contact to other children must have made it even more difficult for her.
