Okay guys sorry! Hobbyholly... I think it's funny that you say this is "hard to believe" since it actually did happen to me. I agree with you guys that it is wrong to take the tombstone. And I know it doesn't make it any better but it was not on top of a grave it was piled in a stack of other ones in the back of the cemetary. But as soon as he brought it up out of the basement, he got a returned check in the mail for $4,000. And last night he took it back to the same spot he got it from and the feeling in the house is much better. I'll let you know if anything else happens.

If it is the baby girl doing all this, she can stay in your house if she wants. Ghosts stay with people they like or houses or whatever. Be careful.

Taking someones gravestone, especially a babies gravestone is not cool, not cool in the slightest.

I can't imagine why anyone would think taking a gravestone is a good idea, I really don't get your family. A gravestone isn't an antique, its not a decoration, and its really bad taste to have that in your house.

I hope he's returned it.

Hi demetra0309. I thank god that he saved you & your family from such a bad fate. I advice you in future not to take anything from a cemetry or anything that is related to ghosts.
I think it is beyond creepy that the day you father had an accident, the same day the little girl died years ago. Just be careful in future not to do a thing like this.
May Lord Bless you & your family.

i am glad your family get rid of it!

Actually the girl looks like angry to you and your family for taking his gravestone and came back to the time (or date) of her death to get the gravestone or to push your family to return it...

Just comment

demetra0309,

Everyone else that has already commented has made it clear that what has happened is wrong in more ways than one.

I do believe that committing desecration of a grave, or possibly even just a headstone can lead to a visit to court, fines, fees, possibly jail time, etc.

However, posting this incident on the internet is about the same as advertising the crime.

Not long ago, I heard there was a group of teenagers desecrating several graves, knocking over headstones and other miscellaneous damage..., and the police are looking for the teenagers.

I hope this ends well. 😐

demetra0309: I hope everyone in your family has learned a valuable lesson...Never, never, and again never take anything from someone's grave... Even if it's not actually ON it... Just the thought that it came from a cemetery... Maybe the caretaker was going to repair it, and place it back where it belongs... Not only should your dad apologize to the baby, but to the caretaker also... These people take their jobs very seriously, and are more respectful than anyone!...Even if the cemetery is unattended, someone at some time took care of it and you don't want to p**s off the ghost of a cemetery caretaker... Please be careful and thank God or whoever you believe in that your dad's o.k.

Taking it back won't be enough he has to find exactly where it belongs and return it.It's probably other spirits that are pissed off with him best thing he can do is take it to the office at the cemetery and get them to find where it belongs, Buy a bunch of flowers and then apologize.

I agree with Sway. Your father needs to bring the tombstone back and apologize. Guess he realized it's NOT cool to have someone's tombstone as a decoration. Thank God your father is doing well and nobody in your family was seriously injured. Karma is a bit*h and in this case her name is Roseanne. Hope everything turns out ok. Take care.

I'm sorry your father got into an accident.

I find this story hard to believe, no offense.
First off I don't know how someone could just take a tombstone. Doesn't that way on ones conscience? Regardless if its just "leaning" against something. I'm all for antiquing but that is just too far. Second of all the dates on the tombstone corresponding with the accident date? Sounds like a plot to a teenage romp horror film

Taking someone's tombstone to use as a decoration is completely disrespectful to that person. The fact that the the tombstone belonged to a child somehow makes it seem even more so. I can't say for sure that your father taking it from the cemetary and his accident are related but I do think it is very bad karma to do something like that. Its stealing, plain and simple, regardless if the person is alive or not. If I were him, I'd put it back and apologize.

First off my mind is blown that you could even think it would ok to desecrate a grave like that, especially that of a young child. Your father needs to grow up himself and learn some respect. I suggest your father take that tombstone back to where he STOLE it from. I'm not sure if all the negative happenings are related but when you disrespect the dead in such a way - you have / had it coming. I don't wish harm on anyone but geeze. You will hear the same type response out off everyone else who comments.
