Rich,

Based on your writings here I perceive you to be very spiritual and open. With that being said; if you really want this entity gone then "set your intentions, mean them with everything that is within you and command it to leave".
I will set my intentions with you in an agreed upon time. There may be many more here like minded who will do the same. There is power in numbers my friend.
This is my offering, yours for the asking.

Blessed Be

Notjustme: Wow! I can't believe I haven't heard of that book. It's on order. I CAN'T WAIT to read it. Thanks, buddy!

Samtille: For now, I just want to come to terms with it. I went through hell with this thing. Not anymore! I've had enough. I can't get rid of it (yet), and the only thing I can do right now is make friends with it. No more going to bed scared, looking over my shoulder and waiting for it to come. It needs to eventually go, but for now this is all I can do.

Pjod: I was in a hurry when I wrote that as you can tell by all my typos. It is confusing and not written very well. I can move things around the house only in an out of body state. I can move the ghost however in the normal, physical state. I'll have to check out that book too. My mom committed suicide several years ago, and I often wonder what she is going through.

I'm wondering about your post below. The power to have objects moved across the room, is this something that occurs in the physical sense, or something that happens during OOBE?
I did find the article about walk ins interesting. Reminds me of a great book I recently read, called "Breaking Limbo" available at Amazon. The print version or download. It's a fictional story, but follows the lives of 11 young adults who have committed suicide, and the struggles they endure in the afterlife.
Interesting account Rich, I wish you the best.

Rich you sound like an highly intelligent chap, what you have stated and describes proves you have spent a lot. Of time with this spirit. In turn I do also feel this spirit is also too highly intelligent. I wanted to ask if you want to get rid of this spirit? Or do you want to help it Passover as you have suggested. I always thought anything as so. Powerful as this would be demonic, as someone else stated. I'm really interested in what you want to do, as it's obviously benefiting you healthwise. I understand your. Illness I have worked with many people of various illnesses and because of the aid the spirit is. Giving you, is this addictive can you live without it? I knows it's effecting your sleep, I only asked due to concern for you x

hey Rich73! I also believe in most of your beliefs except for the suicide part. I used to believe that up until recently. I've read that the only reason why suicide victims repeat what they have gone through is only due to their own guilt. Once they have forgiven themselves, they can too cross to the light. (just my belief) As being said, in my opinion it makes sense. God loves us all the same. Like you and I both believe, Earth is a school planet and we must live the life that we planned before coming back. So some of us knew we would have a terrible fate or a great easy one this time, but no matter what God loves us the same.
Just curious, have you read Delores Cannon's book? It's called "Convoluted Universe". If not, I think you would really enjoy it.
As for your encounter, it sounds like you know what you are doing, so all I can do is wish you the best of luck, and lots of love to you my friend 😊 - notjustme

Wow, what a lot of great people and ideas here. I wish these comments were threaded so I could reply to each of you individually. I'll try to cover them all here.

I've owned my house for almost 10 years. This ghost has been with me only nine months. The previous owners were very happy that I bought the house from them as it had been on the market for a long time. They are, as far as I know, still alive.

I have tried communicating with it in both English and Spanish (Spanish is widely spoken here). I have tried laying out grains of rice and asking it to spell its name. If you remember from the OP, I was going to use strokes on the cheek for yes and no. The problem I'm having with this is that I'll get brushed on the cheek at random times throughout the day. I could be across town from my house, and if I even think about the ghost I'll get an itchy sensation on either cheek. It's as if some wool was lightly pulled across my cheek or as if I ran into a spider web.

Have my medications changed? Yes, I was taking powerful narcotics in January to February of this year. I was in the hospital in January unable to move from the intense pain. I was weened off those and put on regular ibuprophen. I was taking 3,000 mg a day just to get out of bed. Now, I'm not taking anything at all except vitamins. One thing though, and that's if I have a nightcap, the ghost pretty much leaves me alone. Either that, or I just have no awareness of it. Of course, I shouldn't and don't do that every day.

I'm familiar with walk-ins, but I believe they are only for exceptional cases and not at all common. This is according to my spiritual beliefs. I believe that you choose your body and the circumstances of your life before incarnating. You choose your parents, educational opportunities, and life difficulties all in advance. This becomes your mission in life, or your "life contract". This contract must be fulfilled before you can advance to the next spiritual level. You do not get to simply walk away from a body just because things start getting tough and messy. You have to stay with it until the very end. All deaths are known before incarnation except suicides. Despite the apparent chaos, everything here on Earth is happening in perfect harmony. Suicides screw everything up. The person that commits suicide must go through the same trials all over again in their next life so that the life contract is fulfilled. A walk-in, in my opinion, is just about the same thing as a suicide, at least from a spiritual perspective. This belief of mine is based heavily on the writings of Dr. Michael Newton who is a hypnotherapist that does past-life regression therapy. He also did a lot of exploration in his patients' lives in-between lives (in other words, the afterlife), and has over the years built up a good model of how the afterlife is structured and how reincarnation works. Anyhow, I hope this sort of explains why a walk-in won't be happening with me. (I scored a 50%, by the way)

Is the ghost a part of me that is returning? That idea did cross my mind. We are constantly radiating thoughts, fears, desires, and so on out into the universe. Who's to say that these thoughts don't congeal somewhere out there and take on a life of their own? Then, they eventually desire to get back to their creator maybe? I don't feel that the ghost is a part of me however. That's just something I know deep down inside.

Am I suicidal or despondent? Nope, not at all. I have a lot of things to do before I pass, and I intend to do them all. Theres's something else that should put the walk-in theory to rest. Yes Granny, I did leave something out of my original story. I was not trying to mislead anyone. It's just that it would have made my story far-fetched and unbelievable. I felt it wasn't really pertinent at the time, but since a walk-in is suspected, I'm going to put all cards on the table now. Ok, here it is. I have had hundreds of OOBEs and one NDE. I have traveled to the heavens and to the hells and places in-between. Let's just say that I've seen some stuff. I've had OOBEs in the presence of this ghost, and no, it did not take over my body when I was out of it. The ghost, once it's inside me, raises my energy levels so that OBEEs are much, much easier for me than they used to be. Since the ghost showed up, I have telekinetic powers when out of body that I've never had before. All I have to do is think of an object, and it will fly across the room right into my hand. I can't, however, put things back the same way and they usually just drop out of my hands and onto the floor. I had so much fun with this, and you can imagine my house was quite a mess. I know there's some in this world that will say this is witchcraft and sorcery and the work of the devil and that this ghost is with the legion of darkness and sent here to tempt me to Satan's side. I'm going to say no to that, and that I'm just an ordinary guy and I did not seek these things out. Did I pick the telekinetic ability up from the ghost or is it just coincidence? I don't know. After all, when I first started having OOBEs it took awhile for my sense of sight to develop; I was blind at first. Then, it took awhile for my sense of touch to come about. My sense of smell was next. Anyway, I found that I could move the ghost with my mind. I would move it where I wanted, and it would then move back to where it wanted. I did this several times and was enjoying my new-found ability to keep it away from me. The ghost did not like this one bit. It attacked me and went straight to my head. It was like a tornado going through my mind. It knocked me out of body and pinned me against the wall. I wasn't at all scared - just surprised how it could do that to me and at the ferocity of the attack. This was in early spring. Nothing like this has happened since. I believe it was its way of letting me know that I was out of bounds. Can you now see why I left this part out of the OP? This further complicates an already complicated story. By the way, I cannot see the ghost when out of body which makes sense because I'm in the astral and it's still in the physical plane. I am a rank amateur at OBEEs. People I look up to like Robert Monroe and Bruce Moen are pro's. They wrote the book on OBEEs (read them if you get a chance!). Through OOBEs they have the ability to take a ghost by the hand and lead it straight to the afterlife. Their books explain this process. I'm nowhere near that skill level, but I think me developing this ability is the key to helping the ghost move on. The ghost is currently raising my energy level to make this easier, and in the future, once I develop my abilities more, I can in turn take it home.

Recently I was thinking real hard about what the ghost was and what I was supposed to do with it. A strong thought came to my head that I was supposed to be its protector. I'm supposed to look after it in some way. To me, it's like a parent-child relationship with me as the parent. The ghost could very well be an old person that has passed away. Do I care about it? Yes, a little. You can't have that level of intimacy with something and not care about it. Am I dependent on it? No, I would say not. It is a nuissance, and I will be glad to be free of it. I really don't like the fact that it's here in the house watching everything I do. It is aggressive, like I said in my OP. The other day when I was trying to sleep, it pushed my legs pretty hard. I was fully awake by then and was surprised at how strong it was. I'd say it put about 10 pounds or so of force on me. It didn't like the position I was sleeping in and wanted me to roll over. This is the kind of stuff I can do without. I really hope this doesn't get worse over time. I'm trying hard not to anger it because I'm worried it could do a lot of damage to the house or even to me. I think this sums up my relationship with the ghost. I'm cautious but at the same time trying to make the most of this awkward situation. This is my first experience ever with an earth-bound spirit. If I got into a bad situation during an OOBE, I could black myself out and instantly return to my body. With this ghost, things are different. I have to deal with it on a day-to-day basis. It had me so stressed out that at one point I would have nightmares that I was fighting it with the resulting sleep paralysis. I would be unable to move or scream and would be pinned under a crushing weight. I honestly believe all that was self-induced. I would wake up yelling and I could sense the surprise in the ghost lying peacefully right next to me.

Well, I certainly rambled on with this post. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read it and for helping me out.

Rich73 I'm glad you commented what you did. It is an interesting theory to think you picked it up while at a hospital. This definitely is one of the more interesting and unique experiences I've read.

I have two theories:
1. You're right about the hospital, and possibly a spirit of someone who suffered is trying to help your pain? Maybe they had the same ailment? Maybe they're atoning for something they did by helping you in your suffering?

2. It is a passed family member who cares about you and does not want to see you suffering. Since it seems to have only good intentions, but is firm, it sounds like it could be a stubborn family member to me.

Without a doubt, it comes to you while you're going to bed because that is the time the body is most relaxed and open to experiences like this, astral travelling, "psychic" dreams and other such things. Even if you're expecting it now, after the years of you living, just force of habit your body will be used to relaxation once it hits the bed.

I look forward to any updates on this, and wish you the best. I am very sorry to hear about your illness.

I think it's a lost spirit, or the old owner of your house, who thinks you are his family member, but couldn't recognize you much. Try to ask it some simple questions, not like who are you, but more like "What's your name?" If this helps, then you can start with the complicated questions. I hope this helps... 😊

Rich73: This indeed is quite strange and something new to me. I agree with a lot of what has already been mentioned here, some other things come to my mind here and I just want to throw it out there as a maybe.
You mentioned that you have a type of muscular dystrophy, was there any medications, ailments etc that you have changed to before this started happening? I know it doesn't explain a lot of the things experienced but it was something that came to my mind.
The other thing is, you mentioned that you have achieved that mental clarity (which you experience when this being goes inside your body) through meditation, my question is do you and have you ever had outer body experiences? It does have a few qualities that resemble the outer body experience process, the only difference is that you are conscious of it and it doesn't feel as though it is your own body, add to the fact you have seen it also. 😕
I do not get the feeling that whatever this is is negative, I actually think that is something that seems to be in someway maybe trying to comfort you and help you through your pain etc, perhaps some kind of guardian?. What are some of the images that come to you when it is syncronised with your body? Look forward to hearing from you, thank you for sharing with us.

Sounds to me like this spirit is trying it's best to sooth your pain it doesn't sound bad it probably started off just laying by you so you could get use too it after all you would have been scared senseless if it just hopped straight into you it's taken its time for you to get use to its presence and I for one know all too well having a illness can make you the most loneliest person I'm glad you aren't in pain as much as you once was and I hope it carry on peace be with you

I tend to agree with the user claiming the spirit might be your returning soul. If no devine intervention comes to your rescue when you call for it, that might suggest your unique part that identifies you before God is missing. Consequently God respond to calls from this spirit requesting its body back rather than you trying to get rid of it. There's a verse in Psalm 23 that reads "He restore my soul", and if this spirit it's really your soul, it won't do anything to harm its body, only disobey your wishes. Spiritually as you sound the re-integration shouldn't be that difficult under supervision from a real Shaman.

I rule out the possibility of the spirit being a poltergeist, because if it was, it would have hurt you or damaged a lot of your furniture by now since your attension to it made it get to a stage of moving objects around the house. Since the spirit has already gained a lot of energy from you, and hostile or not, don't let anyone get closer to it except your trusted spiritual experts. I don't think the spirit may end up blackmailing you for healing your body because you never summonedit.

Rich73,Thanks soo much for responding to all of us. We are very protective on this website. We are all really just trying to figure this out with you amd help. And now that I have read your response and read all of the others comments, I have to agree with Fergie. Maybe it it helping you to feel comfort, and somehow it feels comfort within you as well. As long as its truly not doing any physical, or mental harm, well go aheaf. But please still continue to stay cautious. 😊

granny,

There are several points of view on walk-ins. I can post other sites or you can just type into google "walk-ins".
Some claim to have walked into an "unhealthy" body and or mind for the experience, while others provided healing for the body and or mind by "co-existing" with the host.
(Rich says his health has been improving since this melding occurred)

And I don't think you have a crack pot theory. I think the puzzle pieces are coming together. I also think if we take Rich's account to be an honest account, then all possibilities should be explored. That is not to say I am making an accusation against him by any means.

This is a wonderful theory to explore.:)

Okay, sorry to triple post, but that's just the way my mind works sometimes so bear with me 😆.

Thanks to Seeker1, a couple of others who've read this account, and my own willy-nilly brain I think I have this figured out. One of the things I've noticed in our discussion is the point that some of us feel we're not getting the entire story. Some key has been missing. I'm going to ask you something, so please don't be offended and know that you do not have to answer if you feel uncomfortable. Okay?

Have you had suicidal thoughts, or have you actually attempted suicide? Let me explain my crack-pot theory.

You're pretty adamant about not giving this being an invitation and at least at first, wanted it to go away. However, it became more annoying in the process. Now, according to the article provided by Seeker1, the only way to receive a "walk-in" is by mutual agreement. The article goes on to state that if one is considering suicide that they should ask their guides for an exchange. In my opinion, you have given the invitation by suicidal thought or tendencies, if it is indeed the case with you. The reason it has been unsuccessful in its many attempts is because you are unsure if you really want to leave this plane.

I dunno. 😳

Seeker1: That was a great link, thank you! The only thing I see that makes this account any different is the article states the exchange is done mutually, and with a healthy body. It does, however, mention the delicate subject I eluded to in my previous post.

Rich73: Thank you for your reply. I can see by your post that you don't feel this to be a negative experience at all. Why would you? 😊 I'm leaning now toward the same things that Fergie said in her post, and if it helps you to get through the day then who are we to tell you not to? My only concern is the dependency factor. Let me ask you, if at some time this being decides, for whatever reason, to leave how would you react? You'd have to go back to the "way it was" and could you do that? Mentally, I mean? Have you thought about that scenario? I think you know what I'm referring to.

I appreciate your honesty, and please do keep us posted.😊

It may not be the correct choice to let it take control of you everyday. Ghosts at times can get really cranky and we might not know what ll happen to us if it continues for long. I would recommend you to get some cleansing done or take some expert advice. Try having the Bible next to your bed and that might reduce the negativity in it. Hope you feel better and yourself soon.

Fergie and Notjustme,

I had not heard of such a thing until a few years back. If true, it sure does explain a lot of the stories we hear about amnesiacs who haven't suffered physical injury, but just awaken only to find they don't know who they are, etc...
I figure if there are ghosts then there are other realms of possibilities. 😆

Rich73, This is one of the weirdest, if not scariest (for me) narratives I have ever come across.

You go to lengths explaining what good it does for you. In my humble opinion, if you see it as a symbiotic relationship, why not carry on with it. I just know that I will catch a lot of flack from other readers for this, but that is how I feel.

You say your affliction is a death sentence anyway, so why not go on feeling better, if that is the way this spirit makes you feel.

I wish you well. Thank you for sharing Rich73.

I want to thank everyone although I'm quite alarmed at the number of comments that suggest this experience of mine is negative. I found this site several months ago while doing an internet search to try to figure this thing out. I got to reading a lot of posts and replies, and I have to say that I really like the people here and decided to join and share my story.

It's been a few weeks since I submitted my story, and since then I have lost my fear of the ghost. When it's in me I am very, very content - content like a small child being held by its mother. I believe it feels the same. Sometimes when I wake I find that I'm holding a little hand, but when I squeeze there's nothing there. It never fails to put me in a good mood. We now have an uneasy friendship you could say. I say uneasy because it has been forced on me. I still don't trust it.

There was a number of you that suggested that this was a succubus (I'm male). This thing has been with me for nine months now. There is absolutely nothing sexual going on here. If it was going to "put the moves on me", it would have done so by now.

It was also suggested that this was, or could be leading to, some kind of possession. I don't feel that that is the case. If the ghost had bad intentions, it could easily mess with my mind and prey on my fears. It's just not doing that. This ghost cannot stay with me if I move too much. If I shift my weight or otherwise move in my sleep, it will no longer be inside me. We are merely occupying the same space but in a way that has some type of synergistic effect.

I want to stress that I don't invite it in. I have to sleep sometime, and it will not waste an opportunity to go to sleep with me - even if I'm just taking a five or ten minute power nap. Like I mentioned in my post, it's movement is very clumsy, and it will take some time to "sync" itself to me. All I have to do is roll over, and it will have to start all over again. In the beginning, I used this strategy to keep it out of me.

Whether it's intending to or not, it is healing me. The effect is not only when I'm sleeping, but when I'm awake. This disease I have is basically a death sentence. You almost always die from it, and there is no cure. Since the ghost started sleeping with me, I can now climb a flight of stairs without becoming completely exhausted. I no longer take pain medication. I haven't felt this good in a long, long time. If the ghost ever leaves me for good, will I relapse? That I don't know.

I have tried cleansing the house, burning sage, praying to Archangel Michael himself, commanding it to leave with the upmost authority, and various other rituals and remedies I have read about. I'm spiritual but not at all religious, so I don't believe having a priest blessing the house will get rid of it. I think I just have to accept it and live with it until it decides to leave on its own. As long as things don't escalate from here, I'm not going to worry too much about it anymore. Besides, I have to admit this whole thing is really interesting. Not many people can say that they sleep with a ghost every day.

I think I picked it up when I was in the hospital early this year. My own gut feeling is that it is simply hiding inside me. I think it may feel threatened my other entities around it or has insecurities about its situation. What better place to hide than a living human body. I'm saying this because it goes through a lot of effort to size itself perfectly with my body. My body has to be perfectly still to hide inside me which may explain why it only interacts with me when I'm sleeping. We are however providing each other with some bit of comfort. I don't see this as necessarily a bad thing, although I do believe that it is unnatural for humans and spirits to interact in such a manner.

I'm still trying to figure this all out. If things change or if I learn something new about it, I'll be sure to keep you all updated.

[at] Rich73, This is incredibly terrifying! I'm not exactly sure what this could be, but nothing good can come from something entering into your body and taking over your bodily functions. Even if you have most of your control still. Whatever this is, its only trying to get you to lower your guard and allow it to possess you. And you have done just that. Now this is the part that scared me. When you said, you tried to ignore it and you could feel it infront of you, blocking the air flow from the fan. I truly hope you take notjustme's advice, on the cleansing. Hopefully that will help your situation. Good luck, and great story.

Could this be your 'soul' (or whatever you would like to call it) returning to you? Can you remember such a time as if your soul was leaving you?

Hi Rich73, I don't believe you are dealing with an incubus/succubus type of thing, however I agree with what others have said - this entity getting into you...it's not a good thing. It may be letting you keep control and lulling you into a false sense of security by making you feel good, however down the road there is no guarantee it will stay so benign and willing to let you have control. I think if it had good/peaceful intentions, it would have left when you originally told it to... But it kept it up against your wishes... Perhaps showing its true nature. Highly recommend a cleansing of both yourself & the house. Rookdygin's Cleansing Method is an excellent one. I have also heard salt is purifying (sprinkling around your bed, cleaning w. Salt water, adding salt to baths etc). Also as others have mentioned go with your own belief system. I wish you luck, and please be careful, however you are stronger than you realize when you take back your control!

Ari, welcome back friend! Ha, I can't throw any stones...I'm also back from being away for quite a while! It's good to "see" a familiar face! 😊

...and I've been away for a looooong time 😢

My apologies to all my friends. Been busy with exams and similar inconsequential matters.

Anyone want to slam me for that? 😉

Well duhhh... I should have guessed with a user name like Rich the op would be a he, and yes, in that case a succubus. Honestly though, I never understood why a spirit/demon would have use for sex. 🤔

You step away from this site for just a few days and look what happens. 😊 I don't have enough knowledge to know what it is. But thanks for the post. What a strange expierience.

Yep. And I think in this instance the term should be succubus. I believe the poster is a "he". 😆 😆 I guess well wait for the author to respond. 😊

Ok, unless there's been a new definition assigned: an incubus is a spirit or demon that attacks a woman, usually while she lies in bed, seeking sexual intercourse. Unless the writer is withholding information, this doesn't sound sexual in nature.
I think Granny is on the right track with a spirit wanting to feel 'human' again. Not such a far out theory really. After all, isn't the basis of possession to take over a human body? Perhaps to use it for some nefarious deed.
What ever this thing is, sharing your body can't bode well for long. Find help in ridding yourself of it PDQ!

notjustme: LOL Well, that's one reason. But I just don't feel in my gut that it is an incubus. My thoughts are running with a just your average every day ghostie who wants to have the feeling of being human again. I know that seems far out there, but it's just the vibe I got. Whatever or whoever it is won't be satisfied for very long with just a few hours a day, and neither will the O/P since during the time of possession his pain is absent. They could become dependent on each other after a while and I don't think that's such a good thing.

NOw I know why zzsgranny didn't suggest this being as an incubus, because it moves things! Am I right? Haha, I just thought of that myself. Hmmm... They usually don't move things around. Either way it's bad! (in my opinion) 😳 -notjustme

zzzgranny and notjustme are right. Personaly I think its an incubus and that doesn't sound good. You have to remember it is not a spirit but a demon. I thnik you will need help with this sooner or later. The sooner the better.

Granny is right, I don't think that it's ever wise to let something into you. You are more powerful than it is, you just may not know it. Next time you feel it approach, breath in and imagine white light emanating from within you and your aura expanding. Confront it with your energy and order (don't ask) it to leave. It may resist, especially since you've let it gain some influence over you, but eventually it will be forced to leave. Repeat this process every time you feel it come near. It's reaction to this confrontation will reveal it's true nature. Be aware and put your fear aside.

Rich73 - I agree with zzsgranny about doing it to your own belief system. Pray to whatever gives you strength. 😠

Rich73- First off, thank you for sharing this terrifying account. It does sound like an incubus to me. Anyway, it is not a good thing you have here. I say this because I can't imagine anything good would do that to you. I suggest you start praying before bed and when you wake up. If it is an incubus they are demons that are very manipulative. Do not let it fool you. It will only drain your soul until you have nothing left. Next time you feel this thing coming on, try praying to God. Demand it to leave in the name of Jesus and tell it it is not welcomed here.

I hope you get rid of it. Try Rookdygin's method if praying doesn't work. God bless -Notjustme

Rich73: Uhm, just my opinion, but I don't think it's a good idea to allow a spirit to possess you, and yes that's exactly what it's doing. I don't get the feeling that its agenda is as innocent as you believe. I hesitate to call this being a "demon", or evil for that matter, but it does have an ulterior motive.

I suggest you find someone to help you detach this entity according to your personal belief system. Please keep us posted.
