DravenX: While I don't quite understand all the terminology you've used, as I am not familiar with the field, I gather that you're saying the picture is "fixed" - LOL

I am happy that so many people we able to brush this away quickly - it's upsetting that the realtor would have done this to the pictures. Messed up!

Thanks again!:)

Ok I'm an avid ghost hunter and debunker since I was 16.I'm also a 3d graphics artist and animator. Been doing gfx art and 3d cgi models for over 10 years now. This looks like a ordinary 3d model of a snake type thing. 1st sign: the lighting is all wrong on the snake. 2nd Sign:Is what 3d artists call the Z axis, the "snake" is right in front of the camera, it has no depth to it.
This can be done very quickly and easily with any 3d app that are available out there today. 😉

hiya_hayz: You're absolutely right - I just might be one of those people!

Who knows what the deal is with the photo? I am just happy there were several suggestions - exactly what I was looking for 😊

I'm not going to go and accuse you or your friend of messing with this photo. I will however say that I truly think that the realtor could have messed with it. There are quit a few people out there who will buy a house because it is haunted.

chingvang559: I can promise you this is not a lie - like I said, there is a possibility that the realtor or whomever handles their photographs could have altered it, but I cannot come up with any kind of reason they would bother.

Moongrim: The pictures were sent to her from the realtor, so I don't know if there were any left out. I doubt it since they didn't bother to skip over this one. After seeing comments on here, I am most definitely leaning toward it being a very strange, coincidental fluke! Thank you for your comment.

And again, everyone, thank you for your input.

Rough guess? It looks like a thread on the lens. However, it is odd in that the complete object is available in the shot, and that it's centered both horizontally and vertically. Additionally- I find it odd that the complete string is picture perfect in it's focus quality. IF this were an object levitating in front of the camera as if it were 2-3 feet in width, then the camera would make parts of it out of focus. As you say, the camera focused on it. If this occurred more than once, we could state that a pattern was emerging. An additional question that I'd have is concerning the other photos on the camera. Any other photos have something similar? If not there is a good chance that the section of the memory chip where this one was stored may have an imperfection on it. As a truly unique occurence, it may be nothing more than a fluke.

This is a Lie. Being a Photographer myself, I've never seen a background blurred so perfectly while the subject (strings) remains in perfect focus. All of this in one shot? I say no way.

And the lens was a Wide angle lens, you can tell by the distorted sides. Wide angle lens don't have that perfect of a bokeh

At first I too thought it was altered. I have to agree with granny about the throw pillow idea.

Hey all!

In no way was any offense taken! My friend and I have been perplexed by this photo for a little over a year now. I just wanted to post and see if you all could throw up some ideas, and you delivered!

There were strange things that happened in that house - which is why we thought it could possibly be paranormal. So, I thank you all so much for the input. I suppose it could have been Photo Shop-ped... I have no clue how to use that program though! I wish there was a way to pick it apart!

Thanks again, all! You are so great! 😁

This snake image is so clear and almost 3D like. It really does look like it was done with computer graphics. If the image was not seen on the digital camera when the photo was taken, then it could have been a hair or something on the printer when this photo was printed out. I'm sorry, it's just so hard to label this as paranormal. I like that show you are speaking of, but I don't have the Bio channel I sometimes catch the re-runs on A&E. It's good to know I can watch them on Youtube though. Thanks 😊

Gonna have to agree with Granny here.
At first glance this looks photoshopped (no offense intended) but it's most likely a thread. Still an interesting pic though, and thanks for taking the time to share. 😊

winx: I mean no offense also, but this actually looks like a thread from the throw pillows... The colors seem to match, and if you look carefully, what seems to be reflecting light is only because the "thread" is two toned... One color on top, one on the bottom... The reflection doesn't follow the light source... I actually followed the thread with my cursor from begining to end, and in the process discovered the two different colors change direction through the twists...

Sorry 😢 ❤

I really do not mean to be mean or anything like it, just saying in advance! I'm just considering possibilities 😊
My brother works with computers, he does animations and works with Photoshop and all that. I asked him to take a look at the photo and he explained to me how it can be done in PS. I'm not saying you altered with it, and I can't see a reason why the realtor would do it, but I guess it's possible. It sure looks strange though.
Just a thought!
Take care 😊

Hi winx717, the picture looks like a human hair on the lens of the camera when taken the photo. What is strange though is for me ghosts are here all our history and many are captured on camera by surprise for many years. The difference is that the old ghost pictures are so much more believable because technology was not so advanced in those years. They did altered photos in the old days but it is not like now with the technology we have. It is strange though that the person who took the picture didn't say anything about it. Digital cameras is very sensitive, the smallest particle on the lens can make a big difference on the photo. I for instance took a photo for my cousin and the photo had a lightening stripe in it. It looked like a real paranormal photo but I'm a person who investigates first. I found that there was a flip file that caused the reflection on the photo. This is just my thoughts though. Trix. 😉
