By the ways guys, what are your view on the story? Do you believe it is a ghost? X

Dont get startled by these odd occurances. Fact is, it may very well be electrical issues and not paranormal. Also about the chair, it could of happened on its own or it could have been a spirit. Fact is, if you do have an odd feeling or encounter, don't just assume your house is haunted. Spirits are everywhere, even the houses that arent haunted have spirits in them, trust me. The most nicest, cosiest house with no history of paranormal activity has spirits in them. Why? Just as long as there are people present, so will there be spirits. I will need time to explain why but that is the truth.

Main thing to do is not to be scared. I know its easy to say but always remain cheerful. If you have a 'paranormal' encounter just laugh out loud! So the spirit knows you arent scared! Because the more scared you seem the more they will feed off it. Try to cleanse your house/room of any impure things (you know what I mean!:)) if you haveany second hand goods or items, store them away from your room.

Finally, get rid of the lamp and get a new one! Also, christmas is long gone so get rid of the tree too!

Have you had any other occurances? In your story you state that your mother witnessed the incident with the stools and that it made she and you nervous. Have you talked about this?

You are at the age where poltergeist activity can be prevalient. Usually, things will quiet down on their own and return to normal.

No, you don't sound stupid at all! I hate witnessing anything paranormal, but I used to all the time and sometimes still do. I prefer to just read, haha. Hopefully it was just a spirit passing through. 😊 ❤

Okay, just to throw it out there it could be a problem with the electronics. It could ease your minds to have an electrician check up on it. Now that I've thrown that out there, I'd like to say that I used to live in a very haunted house and I too had one of those touch-sensitive lamps in my bedroom. Sometimes my lamp would go through all the levels repeatedly and fast too for ten minutes or so and then just stop. It made me mad too because I liked the soft light it gave and it'd be the only light on in my room. The bounce of your cushion points more to your situation as being a haunting. Is this the extent of your experiences so far, how long have you lived there? Since you mentioned you have an interest in the paranormal, do you believe you could have in anyway attracted something to you?

Growing up my parents had a touch lamp. My sisters were terrified of this lamp and my mom was right there with them. My mom was throwing it away when I talked her into letting me have it. I was convinced it was my grandmother who just passed away. Well for weeks I studied this lamp talked to it and come to find out the air conditioning vent was pointed right at the lamp and every time the a/c or heater would come on the temp change made it activate. This lamp had 3 dim settings and it would go through all 3. Also if the plug is loose in the socket it would make it change settings.
Now as far as the stools you got me stumpped on that one. Wish I had something to tell you there.
