Hi;

As a demonologist, I've heard these symptoms so very often! Dark shadows, night time whisperings, poundings, growlings, etc. Are classic demonic infestation. I'm sorry this occurred and I hope you and mom are ok.

My counsel is fairly stock: Catholic Holy water, especially on the bed an at night, and use of the phrase "Jesus and Mary help me". If Catholic, I'd counsel frequent Mass and Confession.

I'm getting swamped prior to Easter (demons least favorite time of year), but will respond, if you'd feel comfortable in emailing me at Dukes2352atAOL.com. Good luck and God blesss you.

Aya, I've always said without the bad, we couldn't appreciate the good. I'm sorry you experienced so much bad, but happy that you appreciate the good things, and took the lessons of that house to heart.
Thank you for sharing the story of that house. Looking forward to the rest. ❤

Hi DeviousAngel, thank you for reading, and yes this account is very negative but I like to think it sort of has a happy ending at least. (Lol, with me moving out and growing up in a healthier non-haunted environment) I agree about the condensation thing, there are so many things I will forever be wondering about! We did do a little bit of research about the surrounding area. It's very interesting and full of history. Our house is along George Washington's Sullivan's Trail; there were also massacres, and supposedly witches back in the day. However, we never found out anything about previous tenants of the house. If I remember correctly, the neighbor told us it used to be rented out but people never stayed too long. When we moved in, the house had been vacant for years. The grass in the lawn had grown so high, it was taller than me!

Cosmogal, thank you also for reading this. The next submission will be the last regarding this house, so I'm trying to include some important events and explain how I also believe that the entity influenced us. I guess the best way I can explain it, is that when we first moved in we were bright, happy people that got along. But over time we became very hateful, self-loathing, mean, and depressed people that didn't trust each other. Don't worry, the next submission will not include everything concerning that. I am a very easy-going, optimistic person that tries to see the positive in everything, so I will also explain some of my thoughts on the situations and why I think these actually helped me learn what not to fear. This was a very dark part of my life, but it's been over for a long time now and I learned and grew from it. 😊 Unfortunately, the biggest negative thing that ever occurred in this house was that a family was torn apart. If that's what it aimed to do, then it did it. To this day, I feel I will never again be able to trust my mom's judgement. But I moved out of there and grew up in a home that was much better for me. A lot of good things happened after I chose to move out! In a strange way, I am thankful. If some of those things had never happened, I wouldn't be where I am today or maybe even with the husband that I'm with. 😉 ❤

Hey aya, oh wow I'm so sorry to hear that things started to become so sinister for you and your mom. I am with Lilady4, and Darkness on this one. The negativity of the spirits/entities influcenced the changes in you both. I'm almost afraid to read what happened next. 😢 I just hope you and your mom are doing better.

Hi aya, and thanks for sharing this one. I must say that you're a very well-worded writer. I enjoyed reading this story though it wasn't the most pleasant experience, of course.

It sounds like you had a very active poltergeist there. All of the things that you, your mom and your stepdad experienced sound very real and believable to me. I have also experienced that feeling of overwhelming dread in places before, so I know exactly what you're talking about.

As far as the glasses are concerned, it's not too out of the ordinary that you'd hear them slide or move, because condensation can do that. However, judging by all the other activity in the house, I would not have been surprised in the least if it were spirit-related.

Did you guys ever do any research on the property, or find out who/what was there before?

Just thought I'd share one of those ghost/urban legends I mentioned in my last post here.

Sorry my memory's a little off, so I can't remember her name or the exact time period (though I'm guessing early colonial), there was supposedly a witch living along the banks of the Delaware river. I (think) the legend goes that she was drowned in the river, though if anyone researches this you can correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, the legend goes that there is an orb that shows itself coming out of the woods around the time the sun sets, and then it snakingly disappears down into the depths of the river. One day there were two men hanging out there that witnessed this glowing orb appearing out of the woods. One of the men was so hypnotized by it that he followed it into the river, only never to come back up or be seen again. The legend goes that if you see the orb, it hypnotizes you.

...creepy! 😨

Hey everyone, thank you for your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

Taz, yes it was very comforting to know I wasn't crazy! (LOL) It also made me feel not so alone anymore, like there was someone I could talk to if need be. Unfortunately, my mom later told me to never talk about it anymore as she believed it 'caused' things to happen, or something like that if I remember right.

Lynrinth, I made the same EXACT point to my mom that God doesn't give more than you can handle. I felt extremely frightened by what was going on, however through these experiences I learned how to overcome fear of an unusual kind. I have many unanswered questions... But when I am supposed to understand everything, then I will. But for right now, I'm very content NOT knowing everything. I don't feel these are the experiences that will shape my life. 😊

Lilady, I agree that they fed off of the negative energy that they helped to create in the first place. In the next account of this story, I will try to convey that as best I can. I am trying for the next one to be my last submission regarding this house, so I will try to fit every little bit of significant information in.

Dudester (love the name btw), you touch on a really good point here. I used to have little fantasies of ghost hunting teams coming in and investigating the place. Unfortunately, my mom would never allow it. They were still very taboo to her as she was still trying to cope with our house being haunted. Thanks for calling this the most haunted house, but I'm sure there are plenty of houses out there equally as creepy! It made the top of my list, though, since I lived there! 😉

Chassidy, thank you for your comment. This house WAS very confusing, as there was nothing residual about it. It was a new experience almost every time.

And last but not least! Darkness, thank you for your kind words. All this activity began happening as soon as we moved in, and I think I was either 7 or 8 years old when we did. I've never forgotten this house. My mom actually was the one that figured out our house was built along George Washington's Sullivan's Trail. The surrounding area has a very negative and violent history. It wasn't just our house that felt creepy. The whole freaking area did! I used to pick up local history books that talked about Native American and settler massacres, Sullivan's Trail, and even witchcraft was reported to have existed back then in those time periods. There are numerous surrounding locations with famous reputations for being haunted. There are also local ghost/urban legends abounding in the area. So, it's a very creepy part of Pennsylvania, period.

Hi aya22: Firstly sorry you and your family had to go through all that, it certainly seemed like a rough and frightning time. Did all this activity happen as soon as you first moved into this home or had you lived there since you were born? I have the impression and Lilady4 touched on this also that whatever was within your home was creating a negative environment and feeding off your fear, did you ever find out house and land history etc? You know that old chestnut!😊 Looking forward to your next submission.

Thanks for sharing.

That's scary! I'm glad my house wasn't like that, I don't even know what I would have done. I'm looking forward to your next installment.

You would think with constant paranormal activity, with this soundling like the most haunted house in America-BAR NONE-you would've called a local news station and see if they could get you out of that nightmare.

Personal. Mmm...well, I hope you got the hell out eventually. Testing your faith, yeah you could see it that way, or as a haunted house. God doesn't give more than you can handle. But then again, that's why He gave us good common sense. Maybe to see IF we can make the right choice. Or you can keep living in a scary house. Good luck.
