Great story here JustCurious. I am in agreement with the other posters here. That it probably was just a friend or relative or even just a passing spirit.

and I do know what your saying about bedrooms and bathrooms being off limits, but I guess with spirits/ghosts they need to be told which rooms are off limits before they start leaving those rooms off limits.

Miracles - I have not thought of the journal idea, thanks for mentioning it. I will definatly do that. Probably got a notebook and a pen laying around somewhere that I can use.

JustCurious - well, that blew my first theory out of the water. I actually thought maybe it was someone who thought you were sick and they had come to check on you. I've actually had that happen. But since this is your normal routine, that must not be it.
My second theory is it might be someone who stopped in for a few minutes. Could have been family or friend, as has been suggested. Then again 😆, it might just have been someone passing through who found you interesting enough to stop and sit for awhile. I know, not funny, huh? Bad sense of humor sometimes. But seriously, bedrooms and bathrooms really should be off limits, you know?
Here's my normal spiel. Keep a journal with dates and times of these occurrences, if you haven't already.

Miracles - sorry for the delayed reply. Its been a while since I had a chance to get on here but yes, its normally my routine to lay there for a bit before getting up and moving. Figure it helps me to be more awake and ready by the time I get up to start the day.

Hey JC, I think that it is either a passed relative like Lou and Taz have suggested. I understand what you mean about knowing that something is there because I have had the same thing happen to me as a child. Many times I would feel someone sit at the end of my bed, and not do anything else but sit there until I moved or tried to get up. If you are not getting any negative feelings from it then you just have a spirit who is looking for a little company. 😊 Thanks for sharing your story, and I can't wait to read more ❤

JuCu,
I think this story is far from over. Although many people have had one time experiences, this one seems more personal. Most likely a relative, but difficult to say for sure.
I am originally from upstate, where are you in NY?

This story is the reason I decided to join this site after reading many stories which held my interest. I have awakened several times to the sensation of my cat laying on the back of my legs in a familiar way... We made the decision, regretfully, to put her to sleep when she was refusing help while starving herself when we adopted a kitten to keep her company. She had always been unusual in her shyness and withdrawal... I have had guilt about the kitten because she refused to eat or drink following the adoption, which the vet found unusual. He gave her 3 sessions of iv fluids to hydrate her, but she continued to fail. After she was euthanized, again, which I regret, I have felt her on my legs as I sleep, only to awaken and realize it was impossible. I believe your story.

Congrats on your 1st story, Just Curious. The only thing I can say is that perhaps it was a spirit, but it could be lucid dreaming as well. Were you fully rested? On the spiritual end, is there any history of hauntings in your home? What is the history of the bed?

JustCurious - couple of questions, okay? Is this your normal routine when you wake up in the mornings? Do you normally lay there for awhile before getting out of bed, or do you usually get up within a few minutes? I do have a reason for asking 😉

ah alright Taz, well I'll be keeping an eye out for your story. If I do hit up this haunted hospital and have an experience I'll probably submit the story sometime next week.

Taz890 - yeah its about time my story got posted. And to go with what you were sayin yeah the feelin went on for the time I was laying in bed. It was about the time I started to get up when it felt like the feeling disappeared. And I can't recall how long I was laying there but I was fully awake by the time I was getting up and the feeling was still there until I got up.
Thank you for your comment and sure thing. I have a few more experiences that I can type up to share on here. Just trying to collect what happened and get the stories straight so it doesn't get confusing.

jc about time 😊
Now you say that this feeling went on for some time as you laid in bed so you were not just awake but fully awake by time you decided to get up, and still felt the presence until you got up, you had a visitor sit on your bed. No other way of putting it, it could have been a passed family member popping by to check up on you or just a passing spirit taking a peek.
Now you have finaly posted a story I am looking forward to some more from you 😁
