My daughter has no recollections of the visitation but has seen a few things since.I'll let her tell those stories herself. I agree, guyinsane, that my father was comforting her with the familial song. Thanks to everyone for the condolences. It seems though that he is still around as my mother recently alerted me to some strange goings on over at her home.

A very sweet story, your dad must have missed you a lot, that is why he made that phone call.

This was an amazing story. Thanks for sharing it. I am so sorry about your Dad and other family members who passed away from such a horrible illness. I have suffered the loss of loved ones from it too. I am glad you had the chance to hear from your Dad one last time and to have it validated by your nickname. I'm also very happy your brother beat it and is doing well. 😊

Based on what you said, it seems like the old man is keeping an eye on his grand daughter.

I've also lost my father and he loved children, unfortunately he never got to see his grand daughter, he passed 4 years before she was born. Until recently I commented to my wife that it was so sad he never got a chance to see her.

510mot,
Very cool account. My condolences on your losses, I lost my Dad to cancer in November of 2009. He came to me in a dream, but I did not get a phone call... That would have been great! I cannot say for sure whether it was a real call or a dream, but I do trust your instincts on this one. To be honest, I would not spend too much time wracking your brain about whether the call was real or imagined... Either way, it was still your dad reaching out to you... That part I am sure about.

Lou

510mot - wow, what an incredible story. I have more to say but I'm at work and I wouldn't do this justice and my lunchtime is over. I'll be back tonight after I get home.

Thank you, Aiafaith1. This event had profound impact on how I view life. I started paying a lot more attention to the peculiarities in my life, and it is partially what led me to YGS in the first place.
