I'm not sure why moongrim got the negative karma for trying to explain to the girl how to get rid of an incubus...I've cancelled that out by giving a good karma point. This seems to be of a concern enough for her to seek out information, any information given shouldn't be given a negative karma. Sorry. It's not right and it's petty.

I could be wrong, and there might even be an element of Sleep Paralysis--a phenomenon that no one fully understands-- that involves the presence of an actual Spirit, but what you describe sounds very much like several occurrences of Sleep Paralysis.

Yes, I understand that you were awake when this happened, but your inability to move right after waking, and the sudden disappearance of this Being that coincides with you suddenly regaining the ability to move or speak sounds very much like what others who experience Sleep Paralysis have described.

Cubeb was thought by the people of Europe to be repulsive to demons, just as it was by the people of China. Ludovico Maria Sinistrari, a Catholic priest who wrote about methods of exorcism in the late 17th century, includes cubeb as an ingredient in an incense to ward off incubus.
