JarMan: There is a good possibility the person's spirit may still be lingering around, is there any possible way to find out who's "fob" was used that night? One way to approach it could be by telling someone in charge that someone had come in to one of the offices that night and that they may like to be aware of it?
Either way it would be kind of freaky if the fob used that night was the person who killed themself.

Thanks for sharing.

I could always talk to my manager and see if she can talk to the security firm to see if they can look up the database, but with such a flimsy reason, they might be unwilling to take the time to check it out.

A specialist has to actually come in and access the security database at each individual building.

JarMan: That happens a lot in these unfortunate circumstances, there's no apparent sign to associates or co-workers that a psychological problem exists until that person completely loses it...Sad...

Well, it sounds to me as if this person may be there still... It will be interesting to hear about further occurances...I'm sure there's probably no way to know what's become of this person's fob, whether it was destroyed or wiped then given to another employee?...Now THAT would creep me out if I knew I had that persons fob 😨

Well I guess I wasn't entirely clear on the situation. I apologize for that. The person in question who died was actually a employee of the company. It wasn't his office though and no one is sure why he decided to do it since he never appeared to be that sort of individual to begin with.

JarMan: Nysa brought up a great point: was the hostage taker a former employee?...If so, it would explain a lot...

Good story here, JarMan. That would've been terrifying to be in a Hostage Situation like that. I do think that there probably would be some "imprints" or even Spirits still lurking after that traumatic event.

Any fob that is given to a employee is brought in to home office where they wipe it clean and program it with special codes to unlock certain doors. Each fob also has the employee's information on it and keeps track of who comes in and leaves.

Well, there maybe some energy lurking around there. Maybe the suicide guy. Hopefully, you won't have to deal with it much at all.

Does the security system record the use of the "fobs?" It would scare the cheese out of everyone if the hostage taker, which I suddenly realized I might mistakenly be assuming was an employee, was associated with the fob logged as unlocking the door that night. I will be curious to hear if this continues to happen on occasion.

JarMan - You're right, it could have been something explainable and maybe one night while you're cleaning you'll find out the reasonable explanation. If you do, I'm sure you'll come back and let us know.

But you and I and most of the people on this site know that the traumatic events of that day would have left enough energy by itself that could create the noises you heard and the door unlocking. But add to that the suicide? Yeah, you have the potential for one hell of a haunting. I just hope that's the most you have to deal with 😐
