I don't understand how I "continue" to confuse you, quite obviously I may have been at the end of the traffic, I am sorry I didn't mention that. But I "continue" to confuse you? What else have I said that is "confusing" 😳

I was so distressed after reading this post I had to walk away from my computer. I was speechless and horrified, but couldn't stop thinking about it, so I'm back. It worries me that such a story might influence others into doing the same thing. Let's not automatically interpret a human being in distress as an evil spirit and leave them to a fate unknown.
When somebody is injured or in distress, most of us "feel" their emotions or we empathise with them. For one human being to abandon another who is injured and in distress because when we roll down the window we pick up on their distress? Oh my God!
"You can't help me... No one can help me", she said. Then, the feeling got even stronger, becoming almost an odor in the air. I rolled up the window, and Zori sped up, topping the rise."
To me, it sounds as though she was about to EXPLAIN her situation and distress to you. It's situations like these that cause some people to lose their faith in humanity! I'm sure the lady in your story did.
There are many people out there who need help... And I'm not talking necessarily about financial help! Let's do whatever we can to help them, each in our own way.
I for one, hope this story is a fake!
Sorry

Good Lord! Javelina, thank you! What else could one say to a post like this? You said it ALL quite eloquently!

You continue to confuse me. Usually when we are "stuck in traffic (galway is ALWAYS packed on Saturday", there are cars in front and behind us. Nor is there the room to speed up as your mum "sped up to behind the car in front of us"

This makes me think of a "lost" soul. Perhaps someone who committed suicide or stayed tied to the Earth from a fear of being judged, it is a shame our culture perpetuates that notion. I can imagine such a spirit emitting a palpable sense of dread & hopelessness. I hope it was not a living person who was that depressed & hopeless. Alandhopewell, could you have seen her if she had simply sat down on the road? Was there a ditch for her to have fallen into? Or do you feel certain that there really wasn't anywhere for a living person to have gone from that point? I am also curious how you understand this event. Surely you don't believe such a sad entity was demonic? If it were trying to trick you somehow "nobody can help me" would not be the tack to take.

That is very weird. I experience something like that once. I was in Galway at a round about and we were stuck in traffic (galway is ALWAYS packed on Saturday) It was night. I was sitting there just looking around and an odd looking figure thing (I can't really explain how he looked) walked up to our car. My sister who was in the front seat screamed as she raised her head to see him standing there looking in at us, my mum saw that the traffic had moved up and she sped up to behind the car in front of us, I looked back and... He was nowhere to be seen. There were no cars behind us so he couldn't have gotten into one (perhaps to hitch a ride). It would have taken him at leat 5minutes to get out of site form all directions and I looked back after a matter of seconds... So... I have no idea what happened.
I didn't mean to take over your story, I simply wanted to realate to your story 😳 Sorry if I seemed to take it over, sorry 😳
I hope you can think of it as an experience never to forget and not one to be afraid of.
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS

I don't know, I would like to think I would err on the side of caution and get out of the vehicle to physically check on her. Driving away from someone who shows obvious pain in the way they are walking or carrying themselves seems too easy. You took an interest in her well being for what? 30 seconds? What if that feeling came from another person? Perhaps a person that had caused this woman to be in the pain she was in? Her answer would make sense if she was afraid of that person and knew it was a matter of time before he caught up to her and maybe tried to finish what he had started. You not noticing her absence until you were topping the rise and crossing the tracks just shows a huge lack of humanity on your part. Why weren't you watching her every move? No matter the feeling, or even because of it, you should have kept your eyes on her progress. But you didn't. That says to me that you saw nothing, at that time, that would suggest this was any type of paranormal occurrence at all. And that being the case, you would then have to admit that you abandoned that woman in her hour of need. You whimped out man. And now you are trying to sell this as a paranormal experience?
That's cold.
You have written a lot of experiences for this site. And even now insist that all spirits are demons. I sure hope it isn't a regular habit of yours to say things were somehow paranormal incidents just as an excuse for not aiding someone in obvious pain, as you said she was.
Jav 😕

I agree with Rookdygin about the possibility of this occurence not being paranormal. However,I think that if she was not a ghost and was hurt, she would not have turned down the ride. If she wasn't hurt, she was definitely a drama queen."You can't help me... No one can help me."isn't something said lightly otherwise.

I do not mean to 'dismiss' the O/P's Experience but 'creepy' feelings and her face being in shadow aside... This woman may have sat (or fallen) down, if she was really injured and trying to get to the hospital.
This may have been a rail crossing Haunt... But with the given details she could have just easily (and more likely) been a real person as well.
Respectfully,
Rook

Wow! But she responded to you. So she was aware of her surroundings. And she still carries the burden that causes her not to be able to move on. Which makes it doubly sad.

That would shake me up a bit. It seems to happen a lot, these sightings that disappear. Haunting or momentary time slip?
