OVER 20, 852 cases...Wow, does tha tmean 20, 853 or just some other random number? I am an engineer and know what a pain-staking process scientific study involves... How many hours would you expect were spent on each case? Some could likely be investigated in a day, some might take weeks... Lets say on average they took three days, and let's say on average you are ambitious enough to work six days a week. That means you are able to thoroughly investigate two cases per week. That means it would take you 10,426.5 weeks, or 200. 5 years to investigate these cases. For the sake of argument, let's pretend a case could be unbiasedly investigated by one investigator. You said you had a "team". If there are five of you, it would have still taken 40 years to do these investigations... But that cannot be the case because when Rook said he had been interested since he was seven, and he is only a young forty-five now... That he was more experienced than you? Explain.
If you are going to rely on science to define your life, learn math... Its pretty important.

Rook, I have witnessed paranormal activities in my life... When we were dealing with a case, the girl who was suffering from exorcism could lift objects without even touching them... She can shake the objects from her bed itself... She can turn off the lamp switch from her bed without touching... Have you seen anything like that...! I have been doing scientific research for 12 years thinking how was that possible to lift objects without touching them... I met UFO hunters team, physicists, Astronomers, Astrophysicists, and theologians, and many people from different backgrounds... I got feedback from few people from other disciplines... Those were the references from epics of India, where they knew the technology of lifting heavier objects without touching them and one more reference from levitation, anti-gravity rules etc and stuff like that... I am not a stroller to linger around here wasting my time... I am here to read and see and observe various paranormal stuff, I am not here to start a fight... Moreover you are not a match to me in fighting, you are bit elder... Well, we are all family who believe in common things... But our approaches are different... Sadly speaking that, one person near our place died few months back, because of the answer he received here... He was damn scared that it was ghost... But fact was, when people walk on the road and a car or any vehicle coming behind with lights could make a shadow... The shadow was being reflected into the room in upstairs through the window, so the pedestrian's shadows looked like ghosts... Well, we solved this problem when we read in the article "Ghosts appears in an hostel leaving a student dead" in local news paper. You guys scared him to death... But it was not ghosts, but a shadows of those who walk on road which was appearing like ghosts in his hostel room...

So, do not simply conclude and satisfy with your answers... I am telling this to all... You should know what you are talking...

Rook, Puppy and team - I have been reading the stuff on this account for some time now. I believe the message is getting skewed somewhere, so I am going to use a language that Dominic would understand. I'll translate for those who are interested.

I've seen some really good theories but nothing conclusive on this topic, so 'spill' what causes them to go missing?

Thank you for your reply. It's not really your methods I question... Anything and everything natural must be eliminated before the paranormal can be considered. But do you really believe that having YOUR PSYCHIATRIST and asking his (her) opinion is fair considering they have never met, nor talked to the O/P?

Is your 'NASA' research group truly an unbiased group?

Last but not least, Is it fair for you to pass judgement on this individual and their experience without having done a case study of your own?

Rook, you are more experienced than me, no doubt... You might be having some methodology to approach a case study... But, I mention you my way of dealing the paranormal stuff... And all of them I learnt through my experience...
Well listen to me...
1) When I was 8, people began dying in our place. Nobody knew the cause. Everybody believed in ghosts. Many paranormal research groups had arrived to solve it. The case got solved when a team of medical researchers have arrived. It was caused by VIRUS, not ghosts... Its always advisable to approach the problem to people from various sectors, like engineers, doctors, scientists, paranormal, etc... That is the main reason why I referred this story...

Once the northern light was considered as ghosts and spirits dancing... But the scientists proved that its a natural magnetic phenomenon...

Like that many many many... We can prove it... Even sometimes we fail to prove it scientifically, but there might be a scientific explanation which our present technology is unable to explain... Best example is BERMUDA TRIANGLE... Earlier people though that it was aliens who attack there and sink the planes and ships, some even believed that ghosts have done, and there are many movies regarding that... And there were many theories put forward... But currently, we know the reason behind the mystery...

My explanation is can your naked eyes identify the hot and cold burgers placed 10 feet away from you...! But, Infrared camera can identify... Can you hear sounds of ultra weaves...! But a bat can hear... My point is there could be something which could explain the phenomenon...

Maybe we need to invent new technology... I am scientific in my approach, but not adamant... If I were an adamant fellow, then I would be an atheist... But I am a strong believer and a Catholic...

I always give honest, unbiased, and straightforward answers which many do not like...

The reason why I am straightforward is because I am a practical scientist... I cannot give wrong values in my research to please somebody but on the other hand could even kill people... I will have to be like this, no matter you like it or not...

I feel I must apologize for certain individuals... They drop in for a visit. Make some comments designed to 'enrage' people and then they stir the 'pot'. We call them Trolls... Most easily identified by the fact that they will keep the argument going as long as possible while ignoring real questions about some of the statements they have made.

Perhaps my questions will be addressed in a separate post...let's wait and see what happens.

I did not send in my experience to have an argument in the comments. I am not criticizing you two I am mearly saying that I have found a solution thanks to rook and there is no need for anymore arguing. I may be a teenager but I have no interest in fights. I hope you two understand that.

Your first three reasons are interesting although the 'groups' or individual (s) mentioned in them 'in general' tend to not believe in Ghosts. (Hate to stereo type, but I think my observation holds merit).

I am very interested in this comment from you... (quoted so there is no misunderstanding)

You have been very, very adamant about being scientific and using research methodologies and I'm really curious how you developed this opinion if solid research and the scientific method are indeed your methodology. Could you please explain to the rest of the class just how you came about your hypothesis?

(I ask as someone who has been interested in ghosts and spirits from the time he was 7 years old, I've done loads of research and was at one time a practicing Wiccan (solo practitioner). I turn 45 in July so I have many years of interest and research and this is the first time I've ever heard this idea put forth...)

dominic - I'd respond to your comments one-by-one but that doesn't interest me. I will respond to the ones that do, though. Black sheep...hmmm...in this case I will take that as a compliment because if it means taking responsibility for something I've done, I guess I'm a black sheep.

I don't much care that you don't like that I've deleted your comments. I didn't delete them out out jealousy or incompetence. If that were the case, I'd have deleted all of our comments, which I didn't do. And I'm not interested in winning you over. Frankly, I'm not interested in you and I being on the same side in anything.

You said I "follow barbarian rules", yet this is exactly why I deleted one of your comments. You made a reference to violence/abuse against a woman. I don't give a flying flip whether or not she's a ghost, abuse is not tolerated and will not be shared with our other members as a method to "handling" ghosts. Or women who are living. Get my point?

Part of the language in the other comment I deleted was a bit too p0rn-site for the site. We have been trying to keep the reins tight and watch the wording.

We actually enjoy critics and those who employ the scientific method as once all the natural answers are all gone then what we are left with truly involves spirits and the Paranormal.

I did not get to read your deleted comment but I will say this, Miracles is not a loser, she is a MOD and that means she can either edit or delete comments that are offensive.

So are you going to just 'toss insults' or are you going to offer a possible explanation based on your use of scientific methods?

Fair warning, if the spirit / entity is not 'Evil / Malevolent' then the method I have shared with you may not do anything. There is also a chance that you may have to use it a couple of times before all the negativity is pushed out and things calm down. Please make sure you 'visualize' every space in your home... Basement, attic and any crawl spaces included.

I do not claim this to be a 'fix all' however it has been proven effective by other members here at YGS and has even been used by some folks at the sister site.

My mom has lots of incense candles and I can easily buy the rosemary. I'll make a CD with all my favorite songs so I have the positive music. I'll start this right away. I never said I didn't believe you, I just had some questions concerning certain points contained in your experience. Strange as it seems your 'streamlining' the details makes this sound 'less plausible' than it actually may be.

There are many of us here that suggest people keep a Journal, that way all the details of their experience can be recorded and investigated that way anything with a possible explanation is easier to 'rule out'. We like details in the submissions as they help shed light on different things, and after all natural causes have been ruled out what we are left with is truly the paranormal.

You want this spirit gone? While I'm still not 100% sure just what you may be experiencing please feel free to try this method, it can't hurt...

Recipe for a Home Cleansing/Shielding... (allow for two or 3 days to complete)

Day one: Open all curtains window and doors with screens installed, let fresh air and sunshine into the home. Have all closets, cabinets and other 'dark spaces' open so that as much natural light as possible can enter those spaces. After 2-3 hours take a broom and 'sweep' out each room (this is symbolic and you do not have to really sweep) focus your thoughts on sweeping (pushing) out all negative energies / entities /thoughts. Close home up after completing each room of your home... Please do not forget your garage if you have one. (Optional) Light incense (sandalwood or Dragons-blood works well for me) and let aroma fill the home, and/or play a tape that contains your favorite Church/Positive, Upbeat (songs that give you good thoughts) songs before you begin sweeping.

Day two (or three): Once again open all curtains, windows and doors. Take a White candle (Optional) to the center most point of the home, sit on the floor and place candle in front of you. Light the candle (visualize a white ball of light) and then focus on the flame... Visualize the flame (white light) filled with positive thoughts, energy. (Say a prayer at this time if you so desire... Ask for cleansing positive energy to fill the candles flame/white light). Hold this 'image' in your mind and then visualize the flame (light) slowly expanding outward, visualize it filling the room your in, every corner and 'dark space'. Continue to visualize it expanding...it's outer edges pushing away (burning away) any and all negative energies/entities out and away from each room in your home. Once you have visualized this flame (light) filling your entire home, picture it expanding to your property lines. Hold this image in your mind for a few moments then visualize 'anchoring' this flame (light) where you are sitting which is the center most point of your home. Once you have done this. Take a deep breath, relax a few moments and then blow out the candle. (If you didn't use a candle just let yourself relax a moment or two.) "

Now you can create a shield for yourself using the 'home shield' technique but instead of focusing on your home visualize the 'flame' simply surrounding you instead of your home... Best time to do this is after a nice shower using a rosemary scented soap (rosemary is good for purification and protection.)

I apologize due to the fact that I made a grammatical error right there. To tell the truth I had to ask around if anyone knew about where the residents were if they were still alive. It was a while before I found anyone who knew information about the people. He (the man I asked) said that he only knew about the accident and that he didn't know the family personally but he did know where the woman lived and that I could find out more information from her. Second, Abby said that it was around 3:00, meaning it could have been some minutes before or some minutes after. She didn't remember the exact time because it was so long ago. Next, I only found out WHERE I could find the information on the house. Also I have my doubts as far as Abby's story. Being an old woman, she may not remember everything. I only simplified the story here. It makes sense that you don't believe me, my parents didn't so I don't blame you. Right now all I want is this ghost out of my house. 😐 Puppy

I don't mind if people call a 'story' a STORY...that's fine... I prefer they list the reasons why they think it's 'made up' or if it's just certain points they question, then they should ask the O/P to please clarify. I have a couple of questions along these lines...

First, I have to agree with Argette when it comes to finding out the history of a home... Is there some paperwork that can be found...sure...but unless this is a really small town the fact that a family moved out due to a death in the family I do not think would make 'internet headlines'.

Second, How did you learn that the remaining Family member lived, how did you word it...? Oh yes...

"Since the remaining family member lived several blocks away..." Is this something that was listed in (on) the same information you found on the 'internet'? If so then I truly stand by with the BS Blankie for this 'STORY'

Third, I can well believe that an individuals parents would become concerned of one of there children's choices in friends. I can also believe that there were arguments concerning this fact, I can even believe that her Father may have been abusive about this as well (sad as that fact is)... I do however have to question the exactness of the time that 12 YEAR OLD came home the night in question... 3AM is the old Hollywood 'Witching Hour' Horror Movie standby time and it seems a bit convenient that the one night this 12 YEAR OLD commits suicide that this time is involved.

Lastly, You stated the house is over 50 years old. How long ago did this happen? As this will play into the fact that a 12 YEAR OLD being out late, while more common 'now a days' was not all that common say as little as 10-15 years ago and would have been noticed by local officials... Not to mention if my 12 year old (son or daughter) was out that late with-out permission I'm pretty sure I'd be out looking for them... As well as possibly reporting them as missing or as a runaway to the Police (maybe that's just me).

I do hope that the O/P comes back and addresses all of the questions so that all doubt can be put aside, but until then I shall remain 'on the fence' concerning this 'story'.

A house has to be pretty darned well known for its history to be found online. It would probably have to be on the national register. Plus, Adeline was not a typical name in the 50s.

I'm going to be completely honest with you, I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not you made this up or it's real. These things that you mention can happen, but I feel like the story is a little phony. I'm not trying to be rude but if this is real, then try and talk to her. It might be scary, but she obviously wants your help.

Again I thank you. It's a relief there is someone out there who understands about these things. That's very interesting about your grand-daughter. After some research I have found out that somehow children are somehow closer to the spirits, possibly due to the fact that they are more pure in spirit. I hope the prayer-method works. I don't like the idea of being haunted. 😢

Okay first of all I would like to thank everyone who believes me. I know that many people don't believe me because I'm a teenager but this is true! My parents made me go through therapy because of my "Imaginary Friend". To all those who don't believe me, I don't blame you for not believing me... Anyway, I said a little prayer for Adeline so now all that's left is to wait and see if it works.

I believe the reason that this story might be viewed as fake is because of how neatly everything falls into place, like it's straight out of a Hollywood horror movie. Most often, in life, we don't get perfect explanations about why things are happening or even find out who/what might be causing paranormal experiences. And a family member that, just coincidentally, lived a short distance away and who didn't slam the door in the poster's face at their intrusion into a painful past? It all seems... A little contrived. Just trying to explain for all of the "OMFG, what do you mean it seems fake?! How can you tell?!" posters out there...

If the story was fake will the author ask for help?😕a person can't be that silly. Maybe its true who knows, that didn't happen to any of us. And I don't get a clue that this is fake, what's the clue for those who tell it fake? 😐seriously.

This site is for real authentic ghost/paranormal stories. For some reason when teenagers submit stories on here they seem attention seeking and downright fake. Straight from a low budget scary movie. Of course not all the teenagers submit stories like these.

I felt bad for the ghost girl. Hope she's in a better place. But I wonder, is she still there at your house giving you signs that she's there?

How can you people claim this is fake? You weren't there so how would you know? This site is full of stories similar too this so why judge this one so harshly? If she was trying to communicate with you I think it would be very possible that she wanted, or wants, a friend.

Geez NightskyCatGirl, if you think its fake keep it to ourself. I have had plenty of things happen to me that people probably think is made up, if they didn't know me. Thats what is so weird and frustrating about experiencing the paranormal.
