Anything is possible. I've heard stories of such things happening. However, if you heard it only once, it could have also been imagination. There is also the possibility that your uncle was thinking of you at the time, and you heard his 'thought'. Explaining this phenomenon is beyond me, however I have witnessed it between my parents. My father worked 50 miles away in a factory, and they were not permitted phone calls. This was long before cell phones. Even emergency calls were handled by an office worker relaying the message. My mom could stare at the phone and say, "Ricky, call me." She'd say that three or four times, and always within half an hour he would call. He always said that he heard my mom tell him to call her. Like I said, I don't know the hows or whys of it, just that it can happen.

Back in 2003 I heard my uncle calling my name but he was not there and he is not dead could this be a evil spirit or something impersonating him?

Valkicry, I'm sorry for your heartbreaking loss. I could never imagine nor would I want to now that I have four children of my own. I am truly happy that you have come to knowing that he is in peace and it was his time to go home. I've dealt with death. My uncle took his life and it took me years to accept it and mourn. I definitly believe those we love are around us to bring comfort. ❤

Hi Marine, Yes, it is comforting, but at the same time I always caution myself it isn't a license to 'be stupid' lol. On the voices you hear, all I can say is listen to them and see if they make sense in the present tense. The use of your name would be a great indicator that it isn't residual. Lacking that, is it something you need to hear? Like an action you need to take. Now if any voice (be it spirit or human) starts telling you to do things that will harm you or others, pray to any deity you hold dear and run for help. That is just wrong on so many levels.

Hi Valkricry - I can totally relate to this experience although the disembodied voices I've heard around the house are probably residual as opposed to intelligent. Isn't it a comfort knowing that you have "someone" looking after you and keeping you from harm (like your saviour in the storm?)

I lost my son. Twice, the good Lord allowed intervention and allowed me to keep him awhile longer. But, it's my belief, that the third time... The third time, He said, "Enough," and because my child had become such a tormented soul, He took him home. It took me a long time to come to that conclusion. Now and then I feel him around me. I take comfort that our last words were 'I love you' and "I love you more."

valkicry, what amazing voices! You have many spirits watching over you and your son. A blessing in itself. I've learned to listen to my spirit guides and spirits around me. I'm sorry your son has gone through those sorts of things. I have as well not cutting but other things. I hope he truly finds the right help to get him and you through.

Very true, jatin. Although there is nothing wrong with remembering and even honoring the memory of those who pass before us, we can not forgo the present. I might not understand/know the Indian philosophy behind them not getting peace, when we dwell on it, but I would think that if I was the cause of someone not living their life because they were so preoccupied with the past, it would upset me, and cause me great worry.

Oh yup... They wont. And here in india we are told not to ponder our thoughts over those who have left us. Its told they don't get peace. 😊

Thank you for your comments. I was and always will be grateful that Jaimie and other spirits/angels have been part of my life.
The reason I think the phrase "kia kaha" was Maori, is the accent was more Australian sounding then Hindi. One day, we had some customers at the store where I worked, and they had the same type of accent. So I asked where they were from and was told New Zealand. At the time I also ran an online chat room, that had people from all over the globe in it, and a couple of 'kiwis' visited quite often. I asked them if they had ever heard that phrase and they told me what it meant. Weird is, as far as I know none of my people are of the Maori tribe, nor even been to New Zealand. I don't think this particular voice was anyone I was ever close to or related to me. Just someone reaching out to give comfort.
Yes, Jatin, loosing those we love is 'bad', but it is part of the cycle of life, as we know it. As long as they are remembered and carried in our hearts, they are never truly gone.

kia kaha is not 'what did you said' in hindi. What you are referring to is pronounced as 'kya kaha' not kia kahan. Dude, I don't mean to be rude okay. 😊

Aw jeez. No wonder you have these deep, from-the-gut comments. My condolences about your son. Yes, I think we all have an angel watching out for us,also. And an ancestor or two also. Hang in there.

I am sorry for the pain and trials, you have had in your life. Thank you for sharing your stories with us. And you definitely have someone watching over you, which I know has to be a comfort to you. Something like this has happened to my boyfriend. One day my boyfriend was in the water fishing, when he heard an external voice say, "You need to get out of the water." He looked around, but didn't see anyone so he continued fishing. A few seconds later he heard the same voice say the same thing. He looked around again, and saw no one, so he continued fishing. Then he heard the voice say, "Get out of the water NOW!" So he did. He went onto the dock, and looked out into the water, right where he had been standing, he saw a huge alligator!

Amihet, I believe writing to be one of the most therapeutic things a body can do for themselves. Things happen for a reason. That reason might be clouded from us,, but there is a reason. I am sorry you had an experience involving your child - however if it spared his life - then it was for the good. 😊 I look forward to your narration.

Pragya, I would be a liar if I claimed to never be down. But, I've learned a couple of things from life. The first is to ask myself if I can change or alter a situation. If there is I try my best to 'fix' it. If there isn't then I just have to suck it up and move on. The second is 99% of Life's problems are perspective and choice. Sometimes when faced with a problem, you need to take yourself out of the equation. What would you tell a friend, if it was their problem? Choice - well that's easy just choose to make the best you can out of what life hands you.

Hi Val- When I posted my thoughts on your experiences with Jaime and your son, I wanted to share with you and others a similar incident that I had with my son. But the pain and fear was too great and to this day when I talk to my husband about it, I still get goosebumps. After I read your story I sobbed like a child, by God's grace and divine intervention my son's life was spared. After thinking about it, I believe that it is important that I share this experience with everyone. I will be posting it in the next day or two. I admire your sincerity and courage, thank you for sharing your life experiences with us. I believe that we can all learn a lesson from one another. May the Lord Bless you.

Val, I've been reading this site forever but I never got around to signing up until today. I just had to tell you, first, how sorry I am that you've seen so many sad and trying times. I absolutely believe you're hearing these voices. Several years ago I got stranded in a snowstorm. When I finally called my niece for help the first thing she said when she picked up the phone was, "Grandma just told me to call you!" I didn't understand but at that point I'd been awake for about 30 hours, so I brushed it off. Later she explained that, just before the phone rang, she heard my deceased mother clearly say to call me.
