[at] Sheetal, I can understand the horror your family and your Buwa had gone through, owing to the Chudail.
One should always wear blessed talismans, sacred threads or lockets of Hanuman or Parashakthi/ Durga Mata or blessed rosary (in case of Christian). These will always help in warding off evil spirits from possessing a Human Body.

In Indian local Mythology, there are two such kind of general female ghosts, The Chudail and The Daayan.
Both are considered to be the spirits of females who have died untimely death.

[at] sheetal, Wow. Like valkicry, I have never heard of a spirit or ghost having to marry the one whom is marrying the possessed. Which is intriguing. And what really caught my attention is that a Devi and a chudail seemed to be having a fight over your Buwa. Thank goodness she is ok now and happily married living a full life. I will definitley have to look these things up. Thanks for the great experience.

I found your account very interesting and educational, as I have never heard the belief that a spirit possessing a person also becomes married if the possessed one does.
