Hello. I decided to give an update.

I took the advice from some and burned the first ribbon.

I also have gotten many people telling me that my "horror story" has a ridiculous amount of "elements". I expected this. I will let you all know that I used to live in a rich suburban neighborhood, and the police officers aren't exactly smart. Before I burned the first ribbon, I took it to another police station and they agreed to do testing on it. They found nothing unusual except for black wool fibers.

I am on the move again. So far I've only gotten one ribbon a week. I am going to go to a church and see if they will do an exorcism on me. I don't know if it'll work. But it's worth a shot right?

In answer to a question, no, I did not have anyone give me a ribbon when I left the hospital.

Thanks for either passing this off as fake or actually believing me. It doesn't matter, so long as the negative comments spread far enough to find someone who has encountered him before.

I'm with you Rook. You've pretty much "reflected" my feelings exactly. It was about the third time I had to go back and re-read yet another contradiction that summed it up for me. And the actions of that LEO just boggle the mind!

(The opinions expressed here are entirely my own and do not reflect the Site Owners nor the Moderators or other members in any way...)

Ok...let's see here... Where to start... Where to start...Ah...here's a good place... I will start with a question then I will quote from the original text for reference...

QUESTION: Did you meet someone after being released from the Hospital who offered you a ribbon? (This is important as your warning at the end tells people not to except ribbons from strangers.)

On to the rest...

"I initially hypothesized that I had a stalker of some kind, as did the police. I asked them to take the ribbons for evidence, and offered to pay them to try and lift fingerprints off them, to which they declined."

If the police were truly treating this as a 'stalker case' then they would have taken the ribbon (s) as EVIDENCE and you would not have had to offer to 'pay them' to do so. Additionally you stated this at the beginning of your STORY...

"These ribbons started showing up after I was released from a mental ward in California. I was in the institution for about a year, because my depression on top of my crippling anxiety caused a lot of issues involving suicide. I was a mess, but I came out a better person."

My first impression was that someone was trying to cheer you up... I 'picked up' on some 'lightheartedness' in relation to the 'story' you were about to relate HOWEVER it took a turn I was not expecting. Anyway on to the rest...

So after sitting up ALL NIGHT with a rifle loaded with blanks you go out to your car and find...

"Looking inside my car window, there was a ribbon on my gear shift. A red, silk ribbon tied so neatly it looked drawn on. I was freaked out, and I didn't touch anything as I called the cops. They came, observed the car and gave me looks. They thought I was lying, and just messing with them at this point.

I couldn't handle it, and started to scream at them. I cursed them all out, throwing my keys down and screaming for them to help me. One officer, we will call him John, walks up to me and calms me down."

Enter the 'hero' police officer. Also... In order of escalation this seems it should have happened BEFORE the Police thought you had a stalker... (just saying)

"Instead, something much worse happened. I can't talk about what I saw when I woke up, because it even now still causes me to have a panic attack. I know that may sound cliché. But it was too horrible."

AND

"The man just touched his hand to his shoulder. That was it. And John's father died. I won't say how. There was so much blood. The doctors said he died from massive internal trauma. His organs had all ruptured. Now do you understand why I can't explain how he looked on my floor when I woke up?"

Plenty of detail for someone who can not 'talk' about it.

The 'Hero' becomes obsessed and...

"He would point out where the man was, and how the static would disrupt how he got in my home. He was tampering with the cameras. He began receiving ribbons the next day."

Guess what, he begins receiving ribbons as well. Isn't that special?

But wait there's more...

"I am now in a small town called Hudson, using a friend's laptop. I am going to post this story on every blog website I can until I relocate."

AND

"Listen to me. If you encounter this man, DO NOT APPROACH HIM. Do not accept his ribbons. Do not keep the ribbons. Do not try to reason with him. He isn't human. I don't know if he's a demon or a ghost. But he is not human. Please, if you receive the ribbons, burn them. Bless your household. Don't go over to anyone's home for safety. He will follow you."

Running to avoid the 'stalker', a warning and the plea for help.

This has SO MANY horror story elements its not funny.

HOWEVER for the sake of argument... No I can't do it. As well written as this is my 'gut' is telling me 'NOT TRUE'. From the 'TV static' happening just before each 'home' is entered to the 'rupturing of every internal organ' at a mere touch this sounds like a made for TV horror story.

Good story... But I feel its just that... A story.

Respectfully,

Rook

Didn't you say you still had the very first ribbon he ever gave you?

Get rid of it!

This is so terrifying! May God help you and john too. I don't have words. I so don't think its a human being. A question-this incident that took john's fathers life was it caught on camera or not? How do you guys know exactly what happened? Btw, this experience is a first of its kind I have come across. The only advice I can give you is to seek God's help. Go to church. Keep crucifixes, holy things at your house. And keep us updated. Atleast me.
Love and regards
Uzma.
