KikiGirl: Here's the problem we, as mods, are having. Your first submission had no mention of spirits or ghosts or experiences with anything paranormal in the least. It was, in fact, rejected due to the lack of a ghost experience. By resubmitting it and including the first eight paragraphs (which could have very well stood on their own) we feel the need to question whether the entire account is true or completely bogus.

One thing newcomers, or any members for that matter, may not know about us (Mods) is that we do confer and discuss submissions if we have doubt as to whether the Submissions Guidelines are being followed. It's not as clear-cut as some may think. The only reason this submission was published is because there really was no way to refuse or refute it, and I think you know that.

Kikigirl - This story could have been a couple of paragraphs and our members would have gotten just as much, if not more, out of it. I have read it twice and still am not sure if there is a ghost story to this. Any more submissions in this vein should be submitted to our Spiritual sure.

PS - You really should have posted your meditation technique on your profile instead of including it, unnecessarily, in your story.

I'm having a problem with accepting this as an actual event. I'm not saying it could not have happened, but why bring it up only after you had your first version, "A Way To Meet Your People - Tool/Meditation," (just what you posted under that subtitle) rejected? For me, it tainted your entire experience with the possibility of being fabricated, as a means to get what you wanted up. Just saying, that regurgitating what you've already stated within your story as a step by step guide was really unnecessary. If folks wanted details, they would have asked. It lent (for me at least) even a greater air of unreliability to the factualness of your account.

I like that phrase "dine with kings or forage with slaves."

It makes some degree of sense that spirit guides would be folks who have a connection to you in life. Who better to guide you than someone who already knows you and also knows the place (s) you are going?
