Melda - lol no, I didn't think you were making fun of me. My kids and I have tried to come up with any number of reasons for the money disappearing and, honestly, if the money is helping someone less fortunate than we are, then bless them ❤
There have been several times that I have asked for the money, or at least part of it, to be returned. As of yet, no luck but I'm not giving up on them 😆
Whenever I donate items (clothing, purses, furniture) I always make sure and check before giving it away. It wouldn't surprise me to find the money stashed in a pocket or something 😆
One day I may submit another story based on money, but not the disappearing kind. Well, sort of:
Thanks for reading and commenting, Melda. (I've exceeded my emoji usage but consider this a smile.)

Miracles - I have had a few items disappear for no logical reason, never to be seen again and then on the other hand, I've also had items disappearing and reappearing in the strangest places. When they reappear it's half-way amusing and a huge relief but when they don't, well that's just plain annoying!
I would give the spirit guy/gal a very stern talking to for lifting my hard-earned cash. Plus which you seem to be the loser whether it steals from you or your kids.
Two possible explanations: The ghost knows of a more deserving family and, to their utter joy and disbelief, deposits it on their kitchen table; or it spends it on cotton candy. In South Africa cotton candy (or candy floss as we call it in SA) is called "spook asem" in Afrikaans. Literally translated, ghost breath 😆 😆
I apologise if you think I'm making fun of you, actually I'm not, just looking at the funny side of it. Okay not everybody shares my sense of humour!
Regards, Melda

What you wrote about seeing a "shimmering" when you picked up ninety dollars off the table and twenty was suddenly missing struck me. It seems you might have actually caught the moment the money was "apported" to wherever these things go. That is really unique!
I once had a customer's house key disappear from my clenched fist. I felt a weird "shift", for lack of a better word, and then the key vanished. An EXTENSIVE search and many subsequent searches since have never turned it up. I wonder if my hand wasn't closed around the key if I would have seen a shimmering too before it popped off into another dimension. Wild stuff Miracles.
