DKMajumder - How old was your cousin when this horrific event occurred? I'm not suggesting that she made the entire thing up but I do think that the story gained some momentum with constant retelling.

I'm sure you know what happens via the grapevine - by the time a story has been told many times over the years it becomes so distorted that it often resembles nothing even close to the actual event.

I think the most hardened paranormal investigator would have spent some time in a mental institution after such a terrible haunting.

Seriously, I doubt the spirit of a little girl would be able of such evil, and it's unusual for paranormal activity to escalate from nothing to a Hollywood horror blockbuster like the one in your narrative, or, should I say, Bollywood?

I'm seating on the fence on this one.
