Thank you, Jmak, for reading and commenting on this story.
I have been blessed. My entire family is blessed (even the ones that I have sporadic contact with) All through my life "little" things have been playing out and happening in order for us all to be in this place that we are right now. How we have handled certain situations, how we deal with different people have ALL lead us to where we are.
I would like to think that the reason my family is so "wealthy" is because we have followed the guidelines of the Great Spirit, and are in His favor.
A gift. Yes. He sure is. He seems to be "stronger" that the sister born eleven years before him, and the three eldest seem to have no apparent traits of the same manner, I only pray that I am the right person to help him "open" his gift.
Or, maybe HE is supposed to be the one who is strong enough to help me BE receptive to the gift.
Thank you.

I SO agree with you, Rodney.
It is a tradition of my marriage lineage to closely watch our offspring. Oh, I do not mean to be an overprotective parent who stands at the door while they check the mailbox out at the road, or even to get them a beeper (Just showed my age there, I SHOULD have said cell phone π) so that you can be in constant contact with them.
What I mean is that it is said that we will view the future through the eyes of our young.
Now THAT would appear to be a scary thought to me, at times. I have some VERY different teens that have some VERY different friends, and, ooohhh, I shutter to think much on that.
The point is, that saying means more to me than what it was first said to mean. And I can see both meanings very clearly.
Thank you, I DO hope that the two of us can remain as close as we are. I pray that he hopes for the same thing.
Thank you.

Hi whitebuffalo,
I have enjoyed reading all of your experiences, you've been in my favorites list since I joined, even though I might not have commented. I comment on the experiences when I feel drawn to them. In all my reading and with all the people I have met I feel that you and your family are among the "richest" I have known (through your writing). Where I am of the opinion that all children are a blessing, your little man sounds like a fantastic gift. You and your husband seem to be remarkable people in your own right; and to have been blessed with the children you two have, it's just amazing to read. Whats the saying "From the mouths of babes"; but who's to tell how old the soul speaking is? You have a truly wonderous family and I wish you all the best. God bless. π

Hi Cholulteca,
To tell you the truth, I have just been introduced to the phrase indigo children, and all I could say as I researched it was WOW, someone has been watching my boy!
Your friends daughter sounds a lot like him. He does not describe ghosts, and shadows by gender either. He seems to lean more toward the "eternal energy" theory. I think I tend to agree with him on that one.
Thank you for adding your thoughts.

Thank you ChrisB (long time no share a page) You know, it is really hard NOT to be prideful, but I have to be. Pride comes BEFORE the fall, and I am thinking that is one "trip " I can not afford to take (could NOT help that pun). He does have a beautiful heart. He seemingly has no thoughts of personal harm when it comes to dealing with something like this. He is confident, and he is giving. He IS really good. I have been blessed to be given him by The Great Spirit, and I only pray that I am strong enough to hold him down long enough to learn how to be a little boy.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Wow!, I would have been petrified! π but kids are amazing, truly Indigo children nowadays, I have a friend who's daughter is amazing, one night she just wake up (she was sleeping with her mom) and she asked her, Do you see the Angel there?, and she described her/him, funny thing my friend got the impression her daughter was not talking about a gender in particular, (you can do that in Spanish, like talking about "it")...other day they were having dinner and her child got very upset (they were trying to get her to eat her vegetables) and my friend says that her daughter's cluttery just flew from the table and smashed in the wall... Curious eh?, she too sometimes talks very much like a grown up π

Unique is an understatement, at times, Tammy.
Sometimes I get so frustrated because he will be ACTING like his age, but at the same time TALKING as if he is much older. I have no idea which persona to speak with!
Don't get me wrong, in other "fields" he is purely five. He is not quicker in school, he is not a child protΓ©gΓ© in any way, save for in the explanations of such things as the Spiritual Side. Occasionally, an "older" word slips in, but it is nothing earth shattering.
Startling, yes, as in when he told me it was time to "turn the page". π WHAT five year old would have come up with something THAT quickly?
Thank you for reading about a night in our lives. π

Dear Uncle Frank,
Me neither! Like I said in this story, and many of the messages to you, I had a book knowledge. I still say I only have a book knowledge. This MAY have been a lesson meant FOR me, but this was still HIS experience. I was only watching it unfold (as I desperately tried to crawl, crab style, INTO the wall behind the bed).
He amazes me too. As you well know, he has helped me out of a few compromising situations, and is eager to help those who pointedly ask questions.
The uncomfortable thing is that, when people come over (adults) that have heard a few of his abilities, they question him. What makes it uncomfortable is that he KNOWS when they are asking because they are curious. But he ALSO knows when they are asking because they want to "trip him up". When it is the LATTER, he is a stereotypical five year old and likes the phrase "How would I (underlined several times) know?" and stubbornly refuses to speak to such people.
Thank you for your words on this. π

Greetings again, Garret,
I have often heard of it described as a veil, so when my son started telling me of this "film" I honestly questioned what he was talking about. At the time I was making pudding and he was standing on a chair beside the stove, watching it boil with me (instant pudding is just about as impressive as instant grits around here, "yuck"). As I lifted off the "skin" on top of the pudding, he said it was MUCH like that.
He explains that there are times it is thinner. Like the skin of grease on cold dish washing water. For people who can easily travel, it takes on the thinner skin. It is what WE make it to be.
It is like when we are told that the "big boss" at work wants a personal meeting with us. MOST of us get apprehensive, and begin to tick off, in our minds, what we could have POSSIBLY done to grab the attention of the boss man. We build it up to be this monstrous, end of our tenure there, major screw up that we really can not recall. Walking through that door becomes nearly impossible as we have built the wall of protectiveness that was NOT necessary, as all the "big boss" really wanted was to shake your hand and tell you job well done.
WE make it what it is.
You hit on something that most people think is a part of my psyche that is totally whacked. π Money and power are nothing. A person can go through their whole life just living paycheck to paycheck (and sometimes "borrowing against" the following paycheck) and be perfectly well adjusted. What counts is the happiness.
If you are not happy, you are not where you are meant to be.
I only pray that he will always he in his happy place.
Thank you again.

Hi ghostseer.
From what I have witnessed up until this point in time, his abilities HAVE grown. I have the strong suspicion that MOST of that is because he is finding the correct way in which to communicate with us. WE are the ones needing assistance, and he gives it so freely.
He is a calm voice in the midst of a raging storm, and even as he DOES do purely five year old things (playing, meeting new friends, starting school) he is slowly teaching us to accept, (and look into) and BE accepted.
Thanks for reading.

Hello Tonith,
I can do nothing more. It would be a travesty for me to glorify his gifts. It would be wrong, and it would "take away" from his gift. The Great Spirit bestowed this upon him for His own reasons, and there is no way that I could pretend to know what He has in store for my son.
At least if I can show him how to be HUMAN, he can show ME how to be more Spiritual. In EVERY sense of the word.
Thank you for reading π

So...here you are just when I thought I had lost you for a looong time π.
You have "mentioned" this 5year old soul you have living in the house with you but getting to know a little more about him through this experience is equal to realising that you can never know HIM so well. What an amazing gift to possess but most importantly what a unique experience to live with this child and learn to see through his eyes...

Hello Autumn. You already know how I feel about my "nephew", when I think I can't be amazed anymore by him. HE AMAZES ME AGAIN.
I never did put too much stock in Shadow People, always considered that people were seeing shadows and spooking themselves. Now he communicates with one and basically has it doing a "song and dance". Absolutely amazing. I think I better keep a closer eye on the shadows from no on.
Take care my friend and bless you both (all four).

You will never know how much your son's description of that 'misty film' truely means to me. I will say it confirms a lot of what I have suspected for a long time now.
Your son is very special, and should he choose, will go on to do great things in this world. They may not seem like it by the way most people measure 'great things'... Money, power ect... Nothing like that, but he will influence many by just being the wonderful bright light that he is, and that is no small thing. You and your Family are very blessed.
Thank you for shareing this story.
Respectfully,
Rook

How wonderful that you see this in your child but still want him to remain grounded. It's stories like this that make me realize there are old souls. Some will say it's because your son is just very intelligent therefore more mature but I don't think this is the case. He is privvy to something more. I don't know why he has this gift but knowing you from your posts I'm sure you will see that he hones it. He is fortunate to have you as his mother. He sounds like an amazing child.

Hello Rook,
You know another interesting thing about my son is that on the day of his birth we lost him three times. All three times the nursing staff came running into the room, checking on the machines, checking out all of the connections on me, and worrying the Hades out of his Daddy.
When he was finally able to make the move, all was... Eerily silent.
He was born, slapped, and he took an audible breath, but no startled cry, no fussing with the nurses (the doctor had gone out for supper. We had "plenty" of time) and no pink splotches. When he was in the nursery hours after being born, the biggest comment about him was "Why is he still here? When was he born?" He was as if one month old.
Oh, not in size. He was a mere six pounds. But he focused on people, he reached out to people, and he smiled at them. Yeah, you MAY think this is just a proud Mama speaking, but he has ALWAYS been older than what his birth date would suggest.
He describes a misty film that separates worlds. He describes mythological beings so beautifully that you could convince yourself you could climb onto the back of a unicorn and fly away. He is FIRMLY planted with one foot on This Side and one foot on the Other Side.
I will NEVER be able to take his knowledge for granted, I am in too much awe of it at times.
The HARDEST thing to do, is to remember that he IS five, but SO much older. The most DIFFICULT thing for me to do is to NOT single him out, or to make him "more important" than his brother and sisters.
Thank you for reading about this lesson.

Ah, the inocence of youth. They see what we can not, they hear things we do not and we can learn so much from them if we but learn to ask, or at least watch and listen.
I have heard the seperation between this world and the afterlife/otherside...call it what you will, described as a veil. We pass through it when we are born and again when we leave this world. Our children are close to this veil because age has not 'closed' their eyes or senses to the things on the 'other side'. It's the same for those close to death, they can see across the veil and therefore converse with or see what others can not.
Your son sounds very special and 'wise' and that is very special indeed. Learn from him as you teach him, it's a two way street. He knows things from the other side and you know of this world and together you can do many great things.
Respectfully,
Garret

I tell you what, Kim, I really feel like he IS the adult, and I am only in his life to be taught. He has taught me so much, and it is very true that at times, I turn to HIM for an explanation. He explains things in such a way that I can grasp the meaning almost immediately (I would be a prime candidate for Are You Smarter Than A Five Year Old?).
NEVER have I heard from others what he showed me this night. He accepted that I was scared, and let me literally climb the wall. But he was also confident enough in the Powers of The Mama to go to sleep at my side.
I WILL give him that hug, and I thank you for mine, but WITHOUT him, I probably would not be HALF the Mama I am today.
Thank you.

What a wonderful accounting of you and your son's experience.
I am sure most of us wish we had such a great mom as you when we were going through our own psychic experiences as a child.
Blessings to your family and to you. Your beauty and strength echos strongly through your words.
